Generally  I believe  women wouldn't want to be seen gambling openly because of the stigma that might be attached to it.
No one likes to loss not even the men or the women but I think the men can easily cover their shame while it might be difficult  for women to do the same if been mocked.
Gambling  has now been made easier through online gambling where one doesn't necessarily need to go to any physical casino but rather so all his or her bet privately even from her phone and I believe this will be at the  favour of woman.
I really don't think there is any major difference  between the men and women in times of gambling  but the major difference  is the stigma attached to women gambling.
Indeed, some cultures view women' engagement in gambling differently. But isnt it stereotypical to insinuate that women cant withstand loss or mockery as well as men? Everyone despises losing, but suggesting women struggle more is misguided. Women, like men, can endure defeat with equal dignity Online gambling has indeed neutralized the field, disregarding gender. But isnt it bizarre that we need anonymity to achieve gender-neutrality in gambling? It exposes our failure to debunk societal biases, rather than gender differences.

Gambling goes beyond the act - its about assessing risk, making choices, and dealing with consequences. Isnt it high time we dissolve these stereotypes and affirm women' equal ability to partake in and relish such activities?

Stereotypically, gender is also cited as one of the reasons why people like to gamble. One of the research findings In gambling, generally, women don't like it when others see them lose. Girls probably prefer slot machines because no one sees players win or lose.

Gambling with slot machines is often a personal experience free of guilt or shame. While the men are not like that.
I strongly agree on this. I might not have meet girls who play slot games but I know how most female friends react to loses when the play indoor games with me or my friends. The get so ashamed to lose sometimes the beg the male players to allow them win so they can brag with it. I think it will be the same reason females prefer slot games since it free from shame and guilt, most females in my neighbourhood who gamble are always shy of visiting the gambling house too, most of the times the prefer to be accompanied to help reduce the shyness, I don't know if this too will be attributed to the fear of losing or the don't want to be seen as a gambler.

It's weird how the women view poker as a calculating odds game, when only a player with high skill can win it.

Women always view gambling is bad because there are a lot bad news related with gambling and they can't see the fun behind gambling. They only see gambling is only a way to lose, nothing else.

Men either view gambling is good for fun or making money, if men gamble for fun, they will not have any problem because they know when to start and when to stop.

Personally I really like slots and to be honest it felt like I enjoyed it (a lot different when I bet sports) so I slightly support the research posted by the OP. but in many countries, I'm 100% sure that people's stigma against women who are seen gambling is a bad woman, so it's better for now that women only play in online casinos rather than offline casinos, take care of your family's self-esteem even those who are married because your family will definitely be against your gambling habits, they will definitely feel embarrassed if other people find out.

Stereotypically, gender is also cited as one of the reasons why people like to gamble. One of the research findings shows that women tend to prefer percentage-odds-based games and men tend to prefer skill-based games.

For example, poker, from a man's point of view is considered a skill-based gamble. While women see it as a game of calculating the odds.

In gambling, generally, women don't like it when others see them lose. Girls probably prefer slot machines because no one sees players win or lose.

Gambling with slot machines is often a personal experience free of guilt or shame. While the men are not like that.

According to research, when a man loses a gamble, there's a machismo attached to him saying, "Yeah, I lost £500, but I can afford it."

And when you win big, guys like it to be exposed right away. Because, they consider this as part of the skill.

This difference in reasons does not necessarily indicate whether men prefer to gamble than women. Women who like to gamble or men who like to gamble are both related to the courage to take risks.

For different reasons, people who like to gamble see it as fun and for reasons that are more complex than just economics.

Do you think the results of the research above are correct?

I know that the number of women involved in gambling is very small because in some countries, people's views of female gamblers are still very bad and they are considered dirty and unfit to be a wife. maybe the results of this research can be used by gambling business owners in developing their business.

The main difference is that they gamble less, or at least traditionally have done so. I would like to have reliable data on gender differences in online gambling, what happens is that they are not reliable on sites where there is no full KYC, they may ask you for your gender when you register but that does not imply that you are going to tell the truth.

I would bet that women gamble more online when doing so in privacy, although I think the percentage will still be significantly lower than men.

This topic can have various assumptions and points of view. The best answer and deeper understanding of womens opinions on gambling it would be better to question female users on Bitcointalk. In my personal view I have known many women that doesn’t accept losing or being wrong even when they may not be. Gambling on long term will always make you lose so we may not witness as many females engaging in online gambling or creating YouTube channels dedicated to gambling and live game streaming like we see many gamblers in YouTube are males.

On the other hand males like ourselves we tend to take more risks compared to women. This different mentality we have and how we think leading us to gamble more often, and unfortunately many men can become easily addicted to gambling as a result.

Because the fact is, a lot of women are also mothers. So as much as possible, they don't want to lose their hard-earned money.
Instead of gambling, they will choose to buy other basic needs at home and not take the risk.
For them, once they lost a good chunk of money, it means, they can't buy something for the table or their kids.
Hence, that's a lot to take if she is a responsible mother. This is why a lot of them don't spend long time in gambling.
A housewife will count her money for daily needs and put the money to good use. They will keep the money without using it for anything to meet their family needs. We don't know if women often gamble, but that is the picture of a housewife who cares about her family. She would not use the money her husband gave her for unnecessary things like gambling because she was too afraid to lose a lot of money for no good.

While men tend not to think like that because they feel he is the one who makes money and is allowed to use the money for what he wants. In addition, men want to make more money quickly, so many think gambling can make money fast. And for the number of women who gamble, we will never know, let alone there are crypto casinos that can easily hide someone's identity.

To be honest, I have never seen a women gambling in the real world but yes I have seen them on online casinos.
It's hard to judge their behavior online but I guess there shouldn't be much difference between men and women in gambling.
But it's obvious that men are a lot more than women in gambling and most of the men won't like women who gambles.
Women are mostly seen as the one who runs the house and men won't want them to gamble away the money they kept to run the house.
it's different in my country, gambling is legal and we here see a lot of housewives who are heavy gamblers and they don't even take care of their children properly and that's what makes me quite hate women gamblers (because usually they forget their responsibilities in their family)

indeed gambling is open to all genders, but men and women have different responsibilities and roles in social life and also in the family, i'm not really sure about the research from the article, so i don't really want think hard about it.

Women gamble less then men, that's a fact, but they also do less combat sports, they don't join the army as often and if they do it's to perform non-combat roles, like radar operators, computer scientists, medics. It's rare for women to do stunts in movies, extreme sports, be race drivers, but also criminals. Most criminals are men, especially when it comes to serious crimes like murder.
It's obvious there will also be less women gamblers, especially in competitive gambling, like poker. Women will rather choose something simple and fun like slots and roulette.
I see nothing bad in it, we are different after all.
Women activeness in some things have been limited in many ways and I don't know if that is because of the home engagement e.g childbearing and up keeps off the home but then it will also be worthy of note if I also appreciate the few of the women who have become actively engage in stuff like gambling and cryptocurrencies.

Just like I stated before,  it is very important to check the activeness of the women vs the risk level their willing to take since it all balls down to one thing which is the risk-taking vs responsibility,  because of the high demand on men they tend to take more risk than women in many ways and gambling is one of those things that men do more than women due to the risk involved.

It indirectly means that men are more into gambling. Even in my country that gambling is allowed, out of 10 men, hardly will you see 1 women that is gambling.

But generally men gamble than women.

But I do not know if the research is totally accurate or not though

In my country, it is very difficult to see female gamblers, not as if they don't exist, but just that they may be very few here. Women have more responsibility than men, like taking care of the home mostly for a woman that is married, and for the young ladies, they pursue a career that they think could be beneficial to them without spending much time on gambling. Just as the OP stated, in my country, most men see a female gambler as someone who doesn't have good morale, and no woman wants to be classified in that category, so they just choose to exempt themselves from gambling. Secondly, women like to save up their money and use it to do better things; most of them (very many) can't stand the risk of watching their money vanish all in the name of gambling. So, I believe that the majority of gamblers are men.

Maybe in the third world countries people will see women into gambling differently. On Western nation people have got used to it. Women are good managers than men, and for that reason women prefer gambling of games that are much connected with calculations.

Yeah, sure thing, I don't know about other part of my country, but in the area where I live currently, women who gamble are mostly seen as irresponsible, most especially young girls who are into gambling, and one of the reasons why they are seen as irresponsible is because most of them who gamble are also into drugs and alcohol abuse, which is not a good thing for the womanhood.

Also, like I said on my previous comment, it's hard to find a married woman doing gambling except the husband is late, and even at that, some still look at them as irresponsible due to the fact that her children could emulate that from her even from their tender age, thereby, causing underaged gambling to even grow further.

That's pretty much true. Men are not crybabies or we try hard not to look like one. Women on the other hand are emotional creatures and they can't handle high stress environments for very long. They tend to lose their cool pretty fast. A man might lose half of his life savings and that will hit him in the head like hitting a brick but he won't say a word about it. He will go on like nothing has happened. If someone asks him about it, he will tell that it was no biggie.  Grin In reality, he just had a major fuck up obviously. But no, we can't cry like a woman. What good is it gonna do anyway? Getting stressed and crying ain't gonna solve anything. So men are doing the right thing.

Gambling in my country is seen as an immoral behavior but women gambling could be seen as a greater level of irresponsibility. In some religious regions in my country, it could lead to severe punishment. No family will ever wish that their son will marry a female gambler. Men's gambling can be tolerated because gambling is not prohibited but female gambling is highly frowned upon. The uneducated ones will secretly give money to trusted brothers or male friends to assist them in staking. Educated females use the phone and other device to place bets. I know women are emotional but I have never seen any woman crying because of losses. But I have seen men It maybe because they want to keep it secret. I believe that because of the cultural perception of my area women might not also announce their wins. I also agree that men openly announce their wins because I have seen many gamblers buying bottles of beers for people because of a big win.

Men within the age of 40 can be seen much into sports betting than casino games. People who have earned good and want to enjoy prefer casino games. In each and every industry the women's participation is increasing with time. Gambling industry isn't the exception, and Women will surely stand equal to men sooner or later.

Well, I am not a woman, so clearly, I can't categorically tell if the research is true on the side of the women or false, but being a man myself, I do agree that most men, including myself will always like to show off their gambling skill or how lucky they are, and this can be done through them showing off their winnings to friends, or fellow gamblers on a gambling community as this.

I do know several women who gamble here in my area, and to be sincere, they are mostly single mothers who are either young or aged, but the important thing is that I've never come or been close to any woman who gambles, so it's impossible for me to know what type of mind settings they have in terms of gambling.

about the "women not liking it when others see them lose", I am not really sure, I mean, when I was still an active gambler in physical gambling establishments, I've seen, spoken to and befriended a lot of women gambling there, a lot of them don't really care if people see them lose and a lot of them prefer skill-based games, but then against that is just my experience, I am curious if they have a link to the data on the study that was conducted.
