For Poker it is true that some people perceive it as a skill-based game that involves strategic thinking, psychological elements, and calculating odds but saying that this is something exclusive of males would sound very silly in this centuries. I doubt the integrity of this reseaech since people has different preference regrdless of the gender. The woman involved in gambling is very small just like what you said so how this survey conclude with that findings by just surveying only few woman that actually involve on gambling?
If there is a factor that differentiate woman to man is the risk appetite on gambling. Woman usually doesn't want to take a lot of risk on gambling compared to man that is very aggressive.

Interesting research I would say, didn't needed but appreciated. In case of poker, I truly think it's a game of skill. When to fold and when to call, that's the real question.

The only thing I noticed why men are mostly involved in gambling is because they often bear lost than female. I could remembered that when it comes to gambling and you gamble lost $500 the reaction you would get from it may not be that effective compared to when a lady of our country (9ja) lost such amount of money. Female are often too attached with emotions when it comes of gambling because they feels very disappointing if what they planned and played didn't go according to their predictions, but naturally gambling activity are often being carried out by men just few ladies gambles.

I do not wish to be viewed upon as sexist but I think that study is pretty much spot on from any realists perspective. Women hate being embarrassed in public and they would view losing in public as humiliation. Men are less calculating than women and just jump into any risk, headfirst without a plan or care in the world. Women are more careful, that's for sure.
I have never heard of women being called dirty or unfit for gambling though. That might pertain to gambling addicts regardless of gender

When I first came here where I live now for work some years ago,in a small Western Balkan country I immediately was surprised by the big number of casino places and lotto clubs,they even had a clone name of Caesar Palace which in my honest review they had done it really well with free snacks and drinks as long as you would play a minimum of 20 dollars.
