Hi all sifu
I have a old gpu hd5870. When i start mine it doesnt have any sol/s. Is it my gpu is out of mining spec for zcash

not enough memory on the card.  it has 153.6 GB/s GDDR5 you need to mine 2 gb sadly it would work if the memory could handle it .

This isn't ETHEREUM, you don't need 2GB. Just the Silentarmy kernel needs 1.3GB but the other miners don't. But that card won't work, just like my 6990 didn't work on any of these miners released so far.

Just tested the dual thread mode (-k zec zec) with 0.6 and got a crash last night on a Rx 470.  Single thread seems OK.

how to mine with cpu?

I've been using this: https://github.com/etherchain-org/nheqminer/releases/tag/0.2 on Flypool.  Seems to be very stable and reliable.  Running this with a simple batch file:

Code:
title Miner01CPU
nheqminer.exe -u YourZCashTAddress.Miner01CPU -l us1-zcash

No problems with it so far, I've had it running for 72+ hours on multiple machines with no failures.

Yield:

~17Sols/S on i7-2600k - Stock
~16Sols/S on i5-2500k - Stock

I agree, it hasn't been optimised properly for the 480. Of course maybe there are optimised miners out there but people are keeping them private for their own gain

There is i read a few off site posts about private farms. even the cloud farms are . I find other interesting stuff looking for other stuff i never find. some one on the forums was taking bids for his only copy of a working proxy from what i saw that worked better then nice hashes bot and works anyplace starting bid was one btc, hell get it i think he was the person who sold off a few bots for selling to the exchanges .

honestly, i feel the 470 and 480 can run better and get even higher speeds but it's to unstable.

I guess, on the profits comment, i have yet to see how mining cuts in on any one profits in the end they still get it, but that might be .

and some one  said 0.7 in this post some place will have more speed fixs better speeds  and be more stable . which is probable true with new issue ofc .

Keeping up with everything really requires wading through so many posts.. perhaps because people think if they make it too easy then too many people will be cutting in to their profits.

K1lo,  i wish i knew for sure at least then i could fix it or  have some thing solid to go by. at least the price is good and that a lone is a good reason to keep it up and keep dealing with shit .

Any idea what's changed in 0.6? No update on https://github.com/Genoil/ZECMiner

Also any idea what a good rate is for my 480? I'm seeing about 31 S/s steady on 0.5 and now 0.6.

I guess i eat my words but I still have faith hoping to see it tweaked  enough for some one to come up with a nice bios edit for Zcash

my 280 just stops with no reason and closes the app no matter what flag is set. noticed others had the same issue with 280

both of my r7 370 just stop no apps closes nothing and says hit enter to continue.

all nite my three 470 seemed ok and are still running .

log was put in for future use it doesn't say much,I guess .

no flag or switch seemed to work for me .

last thought they start up mining great then about 15 mins  some times less  speeds drop off a lot not like it was adjusting  , I hope that's not  how it works, can't really say we really don't know what speeds we should get, it still to unstable better but still not stable, over clocking doesn't seem to do much at first it does then give it time it crashes or expected speeds start dropping or cards stop for no reason.

I stay connected now Plus side, negative side they stop for no reason.

went back to http://zcash.flypool.org  I like it the best sense it's not really a pool issue like i was hoping, that, i think would be easier to fix .

mine is

sapphire r9-280x 3gb toxic 23-29
sapphire rx 480 8gb (ref) 33-42 (3x zec 40-42)

any idea  for 7990?
I have on 7990 about 52 Sol/s

I think your speed of the core/memory is around 1050/1500MHz. How much power consumption does it have?

Hashrates using the silentarmy v2 kernel:

R9 Fury X @1050/500 - 35-40 Sol/s
R9 290 & 390 @ 1060/1500 - 32-34 Sol/s
R9 280x @ 957/1200 - 28-32 Sol/s

Overall I'm really happy with the performance, but fixing the stability so it doesn't crash every time would make it even better  Wink

How did you get the Fury X@1050/500 to 35-40 H/s. My R9 nano run at 1040/500 just at 28-32.
