it remains very close in the first half of the table in the 2. bundesliga
st. pauli, with 36 points, has a 4-point lead over 2nd-place darmstadt 98 - but then, from 2nd place to 9th (werder bremen with 26 points), a very interesting zone begins ... only 6 points separate 2nd place from 9th place
the fight for promotion to the 1. bundesliga will remain very exciting at the end of the season

I was just about to post this. The difference between 3rd and 9th is crazy. The 2. Bundesliga is always relatively close, but I am not sure it was as close as this in past seasons. They are all contenders for the 1. Bundesliga qualifiers and it will be a tough call even at the end of the season I believe. Pauli leaving points on the table is painful and they'll be angry about that for sure.

For a long time now, I have also found the 2nd league much more exciting than the first one.
In the 1. Bundesliga, it is 99% clear who will be first at the end of the season. The 2nd - 5th places are usually occupied by the same teams, but sometimes there are surprises. But now you can see how strong the second Bundesliga has become and that many teams have the quality to get promoted. But whether they will survive in the first Bundesliga is another matter.

I totally agree with what you said, Schalke now have a lot of internal obstacles that make the club's performance not develop well.
Btw now they are still playing thanks to Fabian's equalizer in the 50th minute.
In this match I am not taking sides with both teams but if you look at it it looks like Schalke will lose this match

Maybe yesterday that was the opener they needed for the season, but now the Christmas break is around the corner. The 4 - 1 might serve them well even though the result doesn't fully reflect the game. Two late goals make the game look more impressive for Schalke than it actually was.
But now they can't be careless first, their opponent next week will be Hamburger who incidentally is one of the strong teams in the Bundesliga 2.
I feel they are very balanced and their points are the same, it would be great when schalke do something like they did in yesterday's game but hamburgers are doing pretty well too.

Yes, maybe that is the kind of push they need the Christmas break will surely become a schedule to rest for all teams, but Schalke is now giving their all, and now St. Pauli has made another draw against Dusseldorf I think this is a chance for teams that are near the 1st stranding, maybe they will have a break-in after they win against Hamburger SV, they can surely take their spot, now that they are giving their all and having a blast with their performance, maybe Schalke can make a comeback into the 1st division, right now Schalke has 9 wins 2 Draws and 6 losses, while Hamburger SV has 7 wins 8 Draws and 2 losses, even though Schalke have the much-winning score they can not overtake Hamburger now because there have most wins and Hamburger have the most draws that is why they surely gained some score regarding it, but I believe that Schalke will sure manage to win this.

St.Pauli won the match easily against Schalke and now has 6 more points then the second placed team. They dominated the entire match and is going hard for the first place while Schalke now is far behind those top3 places and need to go on a good run if they want to return to the Bundesliga
well... they are not that far behind currently. Even if Regensburg and Hamburg win, it'll be only 3 points. Much can happen next year, the differences between the teams are not that big. For sure Schalke would need to have a good run to get ahold of a spot in the Top3 though

Schalke can be in the top three if they play their best football. because, in my opinion, Schalke is a better quality team than their performance currently suggests. It is going to be a tough job for them if they continue such a playstyle. If you look at the point difference I don't think that it should be that tough because if they win in one match they can potentially be in the top three, because the point difference is not very big even up to the second place.

For how long has that been the talk all over the place? Schalke has the quality and so on. They just can't deliver and that is blatantly obvious. That's not only the case this year, it has been the case for years now. Only chaos within the club. The biggest winner this weekend is St. Pauli and they deserve it. Both of the closest contenders lost their games even though it was kind of unexpected.

Notable matches for me will be, Schalke VS Nurnberg, and Paderborn VS Darmstadt, this should be an interesting match up.

The difference between 2nd and 8th place are only 3 points. A lot can change after this matchday. The top match is between Paderborn and Darmstadt. It is a 6-point game for both. Nurnberg against Schalke is also interesting. Nurnberg has only one point more.

Upon posting this, Schalke VS Nurnberg is happening and Schalke is doing great and right now the goal is at 4 - 1 I guess Schalke is winning this, I was surprised I really thought that Nurnberg will do much but Schalke have pulled a great distance with the score, now Schalke is really determined to return back to the 1st division so I think it is not really too late for them to make a comeback and get the 1st spot on the standings,

Right now the match between Jahn Regensberg and Werder is also in session and the score is 2 - 3 where Werder is doing great, pretty much this could settle where Werder might win.

I think it will be a game with lots of goals: DARMSTADT vs PADERBORN
Three goal scorers of the Top5 ranking of the 2. Liga play in this match. Luca Pfeiffer and Phillip Tietz from Darmstadt each have 12 goals in this season and Sven Michel from Paderborn has 13 goals. That are 37 goals the three have scored. I'm betting on more than 2.5 goals.

Despite playing away but Werder Bremen played well in this match against Regensburg, a team that is currently in the top three, however Werder Bremen must continue to strive to consistently get full points. Considering Werder Bremen is a downcast team, of course Werder Bremen has more capital and experience. It's a shame if Werder Bremen can't immediately return to the main Bundesliga next season, because if I consider the points obtained now I personally would still say it's difficult for Werder Bremen to be in the top three at the end of the season.

Schalke leads 1-0 after halftime. Looking at Schalke's gameplay, it looks like they will win today's match by any means. In the 45th minute, Schalke's boys made 14 shots, of which 6 were on-target shots. Nurbberg's players are unable to create chances to attack. If Schalke continues to attack in the second half, we can see some goals in the second half.

yeah, Schalke is up, and they are trying to get into top2, with this match
it is a match between teams that are regular Bundesliga members, but have to fight in 2nd league, Nurnberg will probably stay there for few more seasons, but Schalke is trying to get back as fast as possible, maybe not this season, but they are fighting

Today's most competitive match is Nurnberg vs Schalke. Nurnberg is playing quite well this season. They are now fifth in the points table, Nurnberg is 1 a point ahead of Schalke. If Nurnberg can win today's match, they will reach the second place in the points table. However, Nurnberg did not win any of the last five matches against Schalke. But my guess is that Nurnberg will play well and win today.

the second friday match is also of great relevance. if werder bremen wins the away match at jahn regensburg, they would come within 2 points of the club from regensburg and would again have contact to the upper places

in the 2. bundesliga there is another dismissal of the coach...
after only 9 games, 50-year-old coach Andre Schubert was sacked today at fc ingolstadt. at ingolstadt, this is now already the second coach in the first half of the season who has to go...

Ingolstadt continued poor results forced the club management to sack André Schubert, besides that assistant coach Asif Saric will also be sacked by ingolstadt after they were unable to make ingolstadt out of the relegation zone, currently ingolstadt is in 18th place and only 1 times won , 4 drawn and 11 lost from 16 matches played, to face hannover tomorrow, ingolstadt will play under the direction of their new coach Rüdiger Rehm who previously coached SV Wehen Wiesbaden.

@bct_ail the competition for the top two spots is really heating up now, and these teams cannot afford to let their guard down hence we should see a goal fest in these matches. Furthermore I have feeling that Darmstadt will win this fixture, because they’re having a good run hence I believe they’ll win it with ease.

Yes, this could certainly be a problem for Hannover. In my opinion, they should really look for a better coach who can actually run the team and show some unique starts. They only have four wins in the 16 games they have played and now they are facing issues with their management so I think this situation could be worse and if not fixed quickly.

Right now Hannover had a change in coach Jan Zimmermann was out on November 29, 2021, so Hannover got Christoph Dabrowski as their new coach maybe this is their chance, but apparently, Hamburg has a problem with injuries maybe that is behind the Hannover 96 winning against them, but I need to check even further if they will be fitted to a 100% complete team, or if Christoph Dabrowski is effective for them as a coach.

Well, now Hannover should perform better. At least that's what is expected from them. They have performed really below per in this season. And as you mentioned, Hamburg having a problem with injuries should help Hannover to win this match. But I wonder that if only changing the coach will help them in the way they want to.

Regarding the changing of coach, it could be and it could be not, there are just two factors that might happen to Hannover 96 for changing coach, and we will surely see it if they change their performance with their previous games, and right now the next match for Hannover 96 will be against Ingolstadt that particularly very easy for them as for public opinion because most people think that Ingolstadt is a bad team but on November 21 they have tied a game against Karlsruher that is number 10 in the standings and won against Nurnberg on October 8, with a 0 - 7 this means Hannover should not underestimate Ingolstadt.

Notable matches for me will be, Schalke VS Nurnberg, and Paderborn VS Darmstadt, this should be an interesting match up.

Obviously, that trend seems to be like if you cannot win just sack your coach. I would rather see some changes in the team than watching the coaches leave one after another. I mean it's not only is the coach's fault that the team didn't win. They're going to be a lot of variables for which a team can lose the match and be on a bad streak. Let's see what's in store for them in the future and hopefully, they don't have to sack another coach in the recent future.
