Exactly! you are right about Bayern Munich being always the first team in Germany, actually, currently, Bayern Munich and Dortmund are both in the same situation and even Dostmound got a better chance to get the title of Bundesliga because they don't need to participate in the champions league while the recently had a bad performance against Schalke but this season I can see more chance for Dortmund comparing to Bayern Munich

For now it seems as if that is the case unless something unexpected happens. But usually it doesn't. Bayern has gained full confidence now and they are on fire as they reached the next stage in all three competitions for now. That is usually motivation enough for them to win the Bundesliga and probably the DFB Cup as well.

This is at least how things mostly went in the recent past. They would literally have to fall apart in order for the other teams to have a chance. Dortmund was just fighting with injury problems as well as we have seen against Chelsea. With Adeyemi and Brandt being injured their whole offensive game suffered a lot. That is where Bayern is much better off because one or two injuries won't weaken their game significantly. That is a huge advantage if you can substitute high quality with high quality. It could be the one big difference that in the end decides about success.

I think it could be Dortmunds fault to not get the title because of a loss like this, but could we expect Bayern to lose the title as well? Is there any chance of something like that ever happening?

I know it is rare and they are usually so consistent with their win runs when they really need it, but I can see them losing a few games and then making Dortmund the leader once again as well. That is not an impossible target for Dortmund and because of this they should aim at winning all the games they possibly could and not drop out of the race, in order to secure a title it is not just enough to win, you need to hope for the other team to lose and now it's time to hope for it.

Dortmund are really like the only team that can fight against Bayern Munich for the league title until the end of the season. This is really happening for the first time in the recent years. There isn't much time left for the end of the season. I mean there are only ten weeks left for it. Dortmund are still in this title race by only two points behind Bayern Munich. Dortmund's incredible form for so many weeks has been a huge help for them while Bayern Munich have experienced some unexpected losses.

But Bayern Munich are still a huge favourite for the title of course. I just hope not to see this gap get bigger soon. Especially the der Klassiker in Allianz Arena will be decisive about this situation.

I was one of the people who thought Borussia Dortmund was going to give Bayern Munich a good run for their money this season but after watching them against schalke last weekend I had to tell myself the unadulterated truth that Dortmund still has a long way to go before they can be able to compete for the league again against Bayern Munich.

Domestically and continentally, Bayern Munich is playing at their peak at the moment and it will be very difficult to stop them so for Dortmund to win the league this season they'll need a serious injury crises in the Bayern squad or probably hope that Bayern drops form which I think is unlikely

you are right The role of Marco Reus is very important for the Dortmund squad. He scored 4 goals and 4 assists in 15 matches in the Bundesliga. Reus' performance also helped stabilize the team's overall performance. I would say without Reus now Dortmund's midfield will be unstable. Karim Adeyemi is also a young player. I do not totally agree with you. Their overall weaknesses are well understood by their performances in recent matches. It also stands to reason that if they build a decent fund, and add some talented players to their attack, the Union Berlin team is capable of challenging Bayern Munich for the title. Union Berlin has this capability.

Also, I would say their coach is quite experienced. And he is doing very well this season. Although the Union Berlin team was not strong enough, their performance was quite good. The team will be stronger if the Berlin management spends money next season.

You are right. There are matches Bayern Munich wouldn't afford to lose. Bayern Munich will not lose the next match if their strong contender has the same point or is two point ahead of them. They seldomely lose Important matches that is needed to generate points that will help push them ahead a good contender, and this they have done from the start of this season. Consistency is really important for every team who has trophy mentality.
