At the beginning of this season it was already clear that Leverkusen was not like last season anymore so of course their percentage to be able to defend the title was very small.
What happened last season was a surprise for the Leverkusen team without being able to repeat it or defend it.
And if seen as a whole of course Bayern is much stronger this season after making many changes to cover this season making this team stronger and if this can continue to be maintained then it is very likely that they will be able to win the Bundesliga title again.

They had players who wanted to leave but the club tried so hard to commit them to play for one more season, Jonathan Tah was one of these names who wanted to leave to clubs like Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Let's say they can stay in the top four all throughout the season but winning the Bundesliga is not something I see them doing. IMO, I have a different view, I don't see Bayer playing badly when they met Barcelona in the Champions League. In that match Barca played well as well as Munich, but unfortunately Flick is much more experienced and knows very well how to handle Bayern Munich so that Barcelona can beat them. which we can interpret, Bayern Munich lost tactically to Barcelona. talking about Bayern Munich's matches in the Champions League, especially in the two matches with defeats, the real obstacle is that sometimes Munich has difficulty creating every opportunity to score goals. You are correct Bayer Leverkusen winning Champions League is unlikely now. More realistic goal is finishing top four in their league which would get them back into Champions League next season. With focusing on their league and gaining experience Leverkusen can strengthen their team and improve their tactics in Europe. Finishing top four and returning to the Champions League with experience is smart goal for Leverkusen. This will help them grow and possibly do better in competition next time.

The champions League is never a target for Bayer Leverkusen, rather just trying to gather the best experience that can get should be the best Leverkusen can think of really doing at this point because they see that their performance isn't up to the level that will get them a decent finish at the champions League so obviously the trophy is very far away from them but what I know they can do would be trying to finish top four in their domestic league and having another attempt att he champions League that time they will be returning with experience.

It's impossible to expect Leverkusen to repeat their performance from the previous season, they were very lucky to win the league last season, and Bayern Munich was not in top shape. When Bayern Munich recruited many players to improve their performance, I believe Leverkusen will face difficult challenges in the league this season, they are currently in fourth place, and they only earned 17 points from the ten league games they have played. This season Kompany with Bayern Munich can be expected to win the Bundesliga title. I am not surprise by Bayer Leverkusen performance this season because I actually anticipated this to happen, they were excellent last season and that was what was needed to break the Bayern Munich dominance in winning the league and then right after they did that I didn’t expect them to replicate such form again because it is definitely not going to be possible even if they kept the same set of players, they have more serious competition to play this season compared to last season. Although this season I wasn’t expecting them to actually lose some kind of matches that they lost or draw but there performances isn’t quite surprising at all. For me I see Bayern Munich clinching this one because I don’t expect that Leipzig to maybe do any challenge due to their squad depth

A lot of expectations were put on Bayer Leverkusen this season due to their performance we witnessed last season, but last season was not this season in which a lot of teams have tightened their belts to be more serious just not to lose against the upcoming teams, so having hope that Xavi Alonso will still have something to do to make it to the title of Bundesliga this season is something that will be a miracle; if not, I don’t think it will be an easy task for him.

Who's coming for the big titles this season? Definitely not Leverkusen because they're weigh out of form and struggling to win current games. What's happening for Bayer Leverkusen this season? Xabi Alonso have alot of work to reinforce this season because his team is absolutely another version we anticipated it to be this season. We should not reach any conclusions so early. I agree that Leverkusen is not going bad but they are still not having as good performance as they had in the last season and they are far from the good form we saw from this team.
Leverkusen is still fine with Xabi Alonso but we can't expect to see the same good performance from Leverkusen during all the games and all season because not losing a single game and winning all the matches in to sometimes easy to do even for the stronger teams. However, the good thing about Leverkusen is they try to make the team stable and avoid making huge changes during the summer.

The moment a trainer of a top club like Bayern would even dare focus just on the championship it's the moment the will be fired without any other question.
A team like Bayern saying we're not interested in the CL, just the championship? Are you kidding?

It's not that they are focusing on it, it's that they have a setback in the CL and the other top teams in the Bundesliga are doing just as bad, look who's on second place, Leipzig, with is 4 losses out of 4 matches in the CL, Frankfurt is not even in the CL, Bayer and Stuttgart are doing just as bad, and Dortmund is the leader of inconsistency no matter what matches you're allowed to pick from what tournament.

No, it is not possible. Do you think that Bayern Munich doesn't care about the Bundesliga? Why have they won all their games and tied two games, but in the Champions League they have already lost two games. Now does this mean according to your theory that Bayern Munich puts more emphasis on the Bundesliga than on the Champions League? What about Liverpool? Is the Premier League less important to them?

This thought has been brought up multiple times and I will never understand why someone here thinks that clubs focus more on the Champions League than on the domestic league. They can do that when they are in the knockout rounds, have to rotate players in an and out and the domestic league games are not of that much importance. That's a different story then, but normally they are focusing on the domestic league as much as they focus on the Champions League. The difference is that the Champions League still is a highlight in every career of every player. It's normal that players sometimes come across as if they give a few more percentage points.

I wouldn't say that Bayern Munich's poor performance in the champions league is due to inexperience on the side of coach Vincent Kompany but rather a function of the ever changing nature of the clubs competing in the tournament and at such has greatly impacted the teams involved and that's why you see a big side like Bayern Munich struggling all the way but seemingly doing well in their domestic league.

As it is right now they are not the only club facing this menace, perhaps several other teams that we would have expected to qualify for the the next round without experiencing much flip flops but that isn't the case as there are a lot of them struggling as well, and I think Vincent kompany shouldn't be blamed for what happened to Bayern because the result he is getting in the German bundesliga is enough to convince the board that he is able to lead the team to glory sometime in the future, and they need to be a bit patient with his style of management.

Leverkusen is not as I expected before I still believe xabi alonso's troops can compete again like last season and also be able to defend the bundesliga title but the current condition does not reflect all that, at the same time bayern muncih is back on the right track with kompany his performance is extraordinary. I hope munich can maintain this positive trend in the long term, I want to see kane get a title for the first time at least before he retires there is a title that has been won.
