It was surprising to see Bayern Munich lose with a difference of 3 goals, especially since they were actually able to provide a tight resistance for Barcelona in the match, but we have to admit that actually the strategy and tactics applied by hansi flick in the match were more effective compared to the Munich game which looked very monotonous throughout the match, I think there were many communication errors and passes, As well as Munich's poor defense is a weakness that Barcelona was able to use well to win the match, so far Munich is in 23rd place in the Champions League standings with 1 win and two defeats, so I think it will be difficult for them to qualify automatically to the round of 16 later although they still have 5 matches left, so I think in his first season coaching, Kompany must to improve every weakness that Munich has at the moment and of course it is better for them to focus on the current domestic league rather than the Champions League.
To be fair, Vincent Kompany has never coached a team that was ever in UCL before, he has been part of clubs that went to UCL, so his experience of this place is as a player and he could only assume what he wanted from coaches when he was playing at UCL and try to do that for his own players, but he has zero experience at Bundesliga, and he has zero experience at UCL as a coach before this.
So when he is failing, that is not really shocking, and this isn't some small tiny club neither, this is Barcelona and losing to them isn't a shock. Them losing to Villa was a shock, they should have won that game if you ask me, but Barcelona is different, plus Raphinha just had game of his life, when someone is on a roll like that, it's hard to stop them.
