......I wonder if it's a question of mentality for Dortmund or if Real is just so good and shifts 3 gears up in the 2nd half. Guess it's a mix of both, there is no other explanation.
If I lead 2:0 in Madrid and come out of the changing rooms for the 2nd half I have only 1 game plan, put everybody in and around the box, defend like crazy and then maybe try to make a quick counter attack to make the 3:0 dagger and finalize the game. The way they did it is a good example of how to do everything wrong.
Unfortunately, it may be because of both, plus the tactics used by N. Sahin. He replaced Dortmund's goal scorers, perhaps too early and changed his game, who knows what he was thinking, maybe he thought he had really saved with those 2 goals. And also, it's about their defensive arrangement, well, this was bad enough to hold off Real Madrid's attacks during the second half.
Source: Nuri Sahin had a tough time explaining And not only that, in the Bundesliga too, their position is really not profitable. Previously, Dortmund could be aligned with Bayern Munich and Leverkusen for the top 3 race, but now? Some are increasingly wondering whether this young coach is really the right one for Dortmund's progress?
