Now, with a quite striking defeat to Hamburg in the playoffs, it is certain that Stuttgart will still be in the bundesliga next season and will still be competing in the highest competition.
Heidenheim and Darmstadt also joined to replace Schalke and Hertha who had to be relegated.
Will these promoted clubs eventually make something interesting or is it the same as Schalke which keeps repeating itself in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2. It is quite interesting to wait about this.
Stuttgart made it through the relegation play-off round well and got two wins in the two legs of the match. I'm quite happy with Stuttgart's success in being able to return to the bundesliga, but I don't expect too much from this team because for sure they will still be in the bottom place in the bundesliga next season.

I'm really looking forward to Heidenheim and Darmstadt who will get their turn to have the opportunity to play in the bundesliga and both of them are also doing a good job to be able to compete in the bundesliga next season, maybe it's really quite a shame that Schalke, who was previously one of the strongest teams in the bundesliga, now has to accept the fate of going down to the second division bundesliga.
For next season, even though they are quite brilliant in the playoffs this time, that is not a guarantee either. At the moment Stuttgart will only be a club that is at the bottom of the table but they are aware of that but of course with them continuing to be in the bundesliga it is already very good for them.
I actually saw Darmstadt condition from the previous season but indeed towards the end of the season they always stumbled and this season they were finally able to penetrate the highest caste after waiting for a long time to return to this caste.
Indeed, Stuttgart will certainly not be able to meet our expectations to be able to perform better next season, even for mid-table positions, they will definitely have difficulties. I think it is true that they are still the bottom team in the standings, but at least they have to change their game a little so they can finish in a better position. Talking about Damstadt I haven't heard of this team before and if they have an unusual process to the bundesliga, they might be a pretty tough challenger next season, only if Damstadt can be consistent in their matches.

In the end, Stuttgart really didn't want to be beaten by Hamburger SV. In fact, in the second leg which was played at home to Hamburger SV, at least Hamburger SV could have better statistics and that allowed Hamburger SV to be able to win even if only by 1-0. But in the second half Stuttgart again scored three goals and ended the second leg with a final score of 1-3 and that means Stuttgart managed to win 6-1 on aggregate. With these results, of course, Stuttgart remains a team that deserves to play in the Bundesliga next season.

Hamburg got hope with the early goal. Unfortunately they did not score a second goal in the first half. Otherwise it would certainly have been more exciting.
In the second half, however, the difference became obvious. Just like in the first leg. When Stuttgart shifted up a gear, Hamburgs defence was overburdened. Stuttgarts second goal was due to a mistake from the goalkeeper from Hamburg. The third goal did not matter because Hamburg could not have won anyway.
But Hamburg gave a lot to the fans and the atmosphere in the stadium was said to be good. So in the end everyone is happy after all.

Try to imagine that the difference in 3 aggregate points is not a small amount, while Hamburger itself is not strong enough to match Stuttgart's performance.
It's impossible for me that Hamburger can beat Stuttgart because only a miracle can give Hamburger 5 goals in this match.
Because in this match I believe that at least Stuttgart will score at least 1 goal so that the points are 4 and Hamburger must have 5 goals to win.
So only luck can surprise you in this game.

It is difficult to imagine Hamburg winning against Stuttgart; it would require a real miracle. Hamburg would need to score 5 goals in this match to secure a victory. On the other hand, I don't believe that Stuttgart would be unable to score more than one goal. Therefore, it can be said that winning is not an easy task for Hamburg in their confrontation with Stuttgart, and it would require a miracle to achieve it.

Now, Stuttgart managed to score the equalizer goal, and I hope that this result continues because I have bet on a draw outcome.
Instead of thinking about wanting to win, it's impossible for Hamburger to win because in the first leg they were 3 points behind Stuttgart.
If there was a miracle they might have won but what a miracle could come and go against what was destined because in that match the advantage and guarantee of victory was in the hands of Stuttgart.
It has been proven that Stuttgart deserved to be champions and they can be proud of having achieved this victory.

Werder Bremen have had poor results this season and they were only able to finish 13th in the standings. I think after getting back into the bundesliga this season they will be much better but it seems that the results are not always good. As we know, in the 20/21 season Werder Bremen dropped to division 2 of the bundesliga and were only able to return this season in the highest competition of the bundesliga, but were almost in the relegation zone with a difference of 3 points. I think they need to start next season with even more motivation to get to a better place, we know that Werder Bremen were one of the strongest teams in the early 2000s and Miroslav Klose played many seasons at this club.
Despite Werder Bremen difficulties this year their future performance is still hopeful. While finishing in 13th position may not have been ideal it is crucial to keep in mind that they had just rejoined the Bundesliga after spending the 20/21 season in division 2. They had a difficult year since, with just a three point margin they were perilously near to the relegation zone. The club should use this loss as inspiration to improve for the upcoming season. With their early 2000s heydays and the presence of great player Miroslav Klose, Werder Bremen has a lengthy history. The team can focus their efforts and resolve to seek for a better position in the following season by drawing motivation from their prior triumphs. Werder Bremen has the ability to recover and make great advancements in the future with increased motivation and a strong desire to restore their past glory.

I think everything was clear after the first game and the players of Hamburg did not believe in a positive outcome - with such a mood (objectively justified when the result of the whole season has already been lost) it is difficult to win even with a minimum score (which will not give anything anyway). Plus, by the end of the season, Stuttgart got in good shape (by the way, they took away points from Dortmund by drawing with it - as it turns out, this was way important) and therefore they easily won the second game as well.

But apart from that, the fact is that this season is Stuttgart's third season playing in the Bundesliga after successfully being promoted back from the 2. Bundesliga in season 19/20. During his first season, Stuttgart returned to play in the Bundesliga in the 20/21 season, Stuttgart managed to finish in a very good position, because Stuttgart managed to finish in the top 10 of the final Bundesliga standings in the 20/21 season.

But after that, Stuttgart experienced a drastic decline again and almost got relegated too in the 21/22 season and this season, Stuttgart finally finished in the relegation zone. But yes, at least Stuttgart were lucky to win in the playoffs and in doing so, Stuttgart managed not to be relegated after two seasons, with poor results.

After a one-year absence from the top flight, VfB Stuttgart have bounced straight back to the Bundesliga for the second time in four years and the three-time champions will be hoping their latest return is a permanent one.

The system is fair. Stuttgart has also ever played in the bundesliga 2 before it has been promoted to the bundesliga.

I can't even agree with you in this case. The system is fair. Play away and home.
I agree that the system is fair. However, there are also leagues that straight up drop the worse three and promote the best three of second division and they just do that. Like in an 18 club league, they drop the 16-17-18 directly without any playoff or anything, they are gone, and 1-2-3 directly goes up, no playoffs or anything, or even if they do, then the worst of first division drops, but the promotion could be based on playoffs as well.

Those are quite important stuff and definitely worths the attention as well. I know for a fact that it is going to be tough for second division clubs to end up fighting against the relegation of bundesliga because there is absolutely no financial similarity, hence why it is not going to be easy.

I think most of the fans of Werder Bremen are aware that the glorious days of Werder from the early 2000's, were they really were a tough contender of Bayern Munich and even managed to win the Bundesliga title, are over for a long time now. I even think that it is extremely unlikely or even impossible, that Werder will be a top 4 club in Germany again within the next 10 years or so. For that to happen they would need a big investor from outside or stuff like that, but given the fact that in Germany the club needs to hold at least 51% of it's shares themself basically means that there won't be a sheikh or oligarch coming in like it happens often in England.
But unfortunately Werder Bremen were not able to do that and they have continued to fall since the last time they won the bundesliga season 03/24. Indeed, it seems that for now, even for the next few years, Werder Bremen is still not feasible to be able to return to competing at the top flight.

I just found out that the shares owned by the club must be around 51% and if that's the rule it will be very difficult for any Bundesliga club to be able to get a supply of funds from outside investors. It seems that the Bundesliga has strict rules, different from other leagues that have so far been successfully acquired by Middle Eastern or Asian people.

That is indeed an old story and they also hope but of course they realize that it is too far to be pursued now.
The current conditions for Werder are only in the best competition in the bundesliga, which is good, in my opinion, at least they are not in a lower caste. As for indeed, if they want something much more than this then they really need a lot of capital and they now realize that they don't have enough resources for that.
Werder Bremen is an ordinary team that doesn't have flashy achievements like other teams, so it will be very difficult for Werder Bremen to get enough capital to make themselves even better next season, because Werder Bremen still need to fight for that and also have to fight for a better position in the Bundesliga next season so that they become a calculation of the rivals in the Bundesliga next season.

The result from the first leg was enough to determine the second leg. As you said that stuttgart was coming stronger once bundesliga was reaching the end of season but hamburg can take it as an experience to perform even better next season.
It was sad to see Hamburg placed at the third place.. There were only 1 point gaps to some clubs above it which has been promoting to the bundesliga instantly.

I guess that if schalke will be dominating the next season. Im still having hope for schalke to stay in the bundesliga 2 only for 1 season.
It will be coming back again to the bundesliga after next season.

Stuttgart was above hamburg in any metricts. It's the reason why hamburg can be beaten easily by stuttgart. Nice try from hamburger this season. I hope it will be lucky enough next season.

I think this elimination system is not very fair. After all, Stuttgart plays in the Bundesliga and its quality is better than Bundesliga 2. I think it is not right for the third-placed team in the Bundesliga to play the play-offs with the Bundesliga team. I wish there was a fairer system. Anyway, congratulations to Stuttgart, they continue to stay in the league.

What are you talking about?

did you call that unfair system? Stuttgart has been promoted to the bundesliga a few years ago and it was going through the same system like this time.

But just because Stuttgart were promoted a few years ago again, that is no reason for the relegation matches to be fair or unfair.

But apart from that it is always a discussion about this. Why do only top 3 and last 3 play against each other? Why not everyone from 1-3 and 16-18?
In any case, two things can be said. When the relegation matches were started again in 2008/2009, it was certainly also about earning money. Money for the television broadcast. Money for the DFB and the clubs.
A second point is that the team from the Bundesliga 1 has won most relegation matches so far. But I also ask myself why? The team from the 2nd Bundesliga has many more victories and should have much more self-confidence than the team from the 1st Bundesliga. But probably the team from the 1st Bundesliga only understands then what they will have to lose.

Unfortunately I don't have the courage to bet on this match because I feel that Stuttgart will hold back.
Actually, my intuition was right, indeed they played with a defensive scheme, but what I regretted was that Hamburg's all out condition backfired for them.
Hamburg's honest possession was very good but the direct pass which Stuttgart always makes is really excellent and I was entertained especially for the second half.
A pretty sweet comeback with a fairly monohok score makes them feel alive again in the bundesliga next season.
But it's quite unfortunate for Hamburg because their bad luck in the play-offs continues.
It would be a shame if you didn't take a bet on that match because it was clear that VfB Stuttgart could easily win the match.
Anyone who witnessed this match must also have the same prediction, namely a win for Stuttgart.
In the first leg match, Hamburger looked very difficult to match the game from Stuttgart so they lost 3 - 0.
I saw them concede in the early minutes but I still believed and believed that VfB Stuttgart could win the match so I decided to continue with the gamble and in the end they really did come out victorious.
Congratulations to you! But it can't be a shame if anyone didn't bet on a particular match, after all, there are many other alternatives. And VfB Stuttgart was never impressive this season, anyone has the right to doubt the club. Their victory over Hamburg was impressive on Monday though, even those people who bet on Stuttgart would have started panicking when Hamburg scored its first goal in the first half with no single goal on the side of Stuttgart.

It was the second half that made them the winner, but if what happened in the first half replicated itself in the second half, then you would have known that it's all about football, we can't predict winning 100%

It's really difficult when you see the conditions and the deficit of 3 goals in the aggregate, this indirectly lowers their mentality because consciously or not they seem to have lost momentum after losing the first leg quite painfully.
Their condition in the second leg was not very convincing either and I felt from the start before the second leg started that it was indeed difficult for them to have confidence there.
In the end, they had to experience the harsh reality again where their hopes of being in the Bundesliga were dashed in the play-off phase, just like before.

Bremen get promotion from Bundesliga 2 along with Schalke and while Schalke have to relegated because finish at 17th place but Bremen can able to survive by reach to 13th place and i think as promotion team this is good achievement and their target were accomplished because since the beginning of season their manager don't have any high expectation to this team and Bremen management only targetted Bremen to stayed at Bundesliga 1 and for next season let's be realistic that i think it's hard for Bremen to compete for top 10 and this because their status as mediocre team especially there were no big names at their current squad

After getting points from Dortmund and improving the quality of their games in the last few weeks, I honestly did not give Hamburg a chance in the struggle to stay in the league. It was bad for Hamburg. They will have to try their luck next year for the Bundesliga. Stuttgart once again showed how important a team they are with this win.

Sometimes teams like these and their fans needs to accept the fact that you can't do as much as you think you can, it is just not possible and shouldn't be the aim. I mean they used to be decent that's true but they never dominated the league anyway, they were never amazing for too long, their last title was 20 years ago and since then they never won again, that means they weren't really all that amazing to begin with.

However, if you consider them as a midtable team, then we could see that they may had some bad seasons here and there, like this year, but they always find a way to get better. I can see them be a top 4 team just next season, or at least top 6 team at worst, that's a good thing and I believe they can do that with a few good moves during the summer period.

Dortmund wasted their championship opportunity too easy by not even being able to win against an aimless team on the last week of the season. This can't be acceptable even though they have still had a solid season. The ending shouldn't have been like this. I assume Dortmund have no reasonable explanation to this result either. It was like they already secured the title so they just didn't care about the match. The first half of it was exactly like that and that effort in the second half wasn't enough as a result.

Terzic surely had a good season anyway by staying in the title race until the end. But he also needs to learn his lesson from this kind of poor ending. Dortmund normally don't care about whether they become the champions but when they have another chance they should know how to make use of it.

This must be the biggest nonsense I have read today.
Dortmund doesn't care if they become champions, are you serious??
So what are they playing for if not for the championship?

In the last years Dortmund is basically the only contender Bayern has that has been kind of always there.

The only difference is that this year they had 1 hand on the trophy and just couldn't get it done. They basically lost it and handed it to Bayern.
But not wanting to become champions is just hilarious.

The other thing you said about the last game is nonsense as well, "they just didn't care about the match". Did you even see the game? You claim they played like they don't care, haha. 29:10 shots and 73% possession, and they didn't care.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
