How Borussia Dortmund who kept cool to beat Leipzig a week before the last matchweek, was unable to win Mainz at home has remained a very big surprise for me. I expected a better team performance from the Dortmund players.
This is the closest they've come to winning the German Bundesliga since they last won it in 2012 and now that they failed to win it, i think it'll be difficult to end Bayern Munich's dominance in the German league.

The hallmark for Frankfurt is this.
Just like last season when their fans packed Camp nou when they met in the Europa League and so they were in the final and won against Rangers for that. They have a lot of loyal fans for Frankfurt which indeed this can also be an added strength due to the atmosphere generated which of course sometimes damages the mentality of the opposing players.
Right now, even though Frankfurt is not really the favorite, I think they can still do it, although it's a little difficult.
h2h for now in the bundesliga they are also even but in these 2 meetings Frankfurt can be said to be superior in goals so it is possible that this will also be another passion for them.

Lewandowski's departure from the Bundesliga has affected the league deeply as well. I mean especially the top scorers table. Because you know how dominant Lewandowski was when he was wearing Bayern Munich shirt. For example, he scored 35 goals in the 2021/2022 season and pulled away from his nearest competitor by 11 goals. But now we see nobody who was able to score a lot of goals in this season. There was a tight competition for being top scorer for sure but the player with the most goals scored only 16 goals.

I wonder whether we will see a special scorer like Lewandowski again in the near future. I had big expectations from Nkunku truthfully. But his injury caused him to miss 9 league matches which was really a big hindrance for him to score more goals.

Leipzig is not only the favorite because of the odds , they have some really high quality players in there team.
But i guess we will see a lot Frankfurt fans in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin and if there are enough they can push there team.
I dont think when Leipzig will win this final that they destroying Frankfurt.
The best outcome would be overtime and then get into the penalties.

Having an understanding of how Dortmund needs to be a lot more "calm" when it comes down to the last games would be the key thing to work on and it is not going to be easy. Bayern didn't tremble, they won the last game just like they suppose to and Mainz wasn't really a team that Dortmund should be having trouble against neither, losing to them was the most psychological loss I have ever seen, it wasn't due to their tactic, not their roster quality, not anything else, it was purely just because they were not ready for it and that's it.

This is why I honestly believe that we should see Dortmund work on the last weeks, how they could do that is beyond me, that's managers job, but they need to be more consistent on the last weeks to get the title.

Leipzig has shown a good performance in the league. I think they would actually be able to carry that form onto the match against Frankfurt. Recently Frankfurt has been a little inconsistent. Now of course the match is going to depend on how the players perform on the match day. But if I had to predict I will say that Leipzig seems to be the better team going into this DFB-Pokal final.

To be honest I was not shocked when I saw Dortmund lose this chance for winning the league because during this season they lost many other games and that's why Bayern Munich lost the title for this season otherwise, in this season Bayern Munich performed badly enough to give Dortmund good chance they could never have in the last seasons they had.
Dortmund could win the game against Mainz and win the Bundesliga they couldn't win from 2012 until this season.

Also, the thing about Dortmund is they get usually more spectators than any team. For example this season they got an average of 81,228 spectators.

Because this is the Final, both of teams still have the possibility to win, also based on the head to head these both teams are quite equal. But Leipzig this season is so great, they are not easy to beat. Also, after being able to beat Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena some time ago, Leipzig might also be more motivated to win. Even so, somehow I also believe in Frankfurt, let's hope they can win in that game.

This is Leipzig's second chance to win a title this season. The first one was the Super Cup match against Bayern Munich but they lost it by a huge score like 5-3. They had a quite good season in the Bundesliga as they made it to top 4 and secured their Champions League ticket in time. I really appreciated their high effort in the previous season due to winning the Europa League title. But now they are away from that look.

I watched the game through the streaming channel, it's very sad, not funny, mate. I know the feelings of those who were disappointed by the result in the Jahn Regensburg - Heidenheim match. That's 2 goals also don't make sense, 2 goals in additional time. It's like they're using up all the luck from all the Heidenheim players for next season, LOL.

The odds are still interesting because this is not a home game for Leipzig, but it takes place on neutral grounds. Frankfurt has an amazing supporter crowd and I am sure that these fans do everything they can to get into the stadium and support Frankfurt. I believe that Frankfurt will have more support in the Berlin Olympic stadium than Leipzig. That can definitely help a lot when the game is close and not decided after half an hour because Leipzig scores early goals.

The conditions are still possible because we also won't know what will happen in the 90 minutes of the match, especially in terms of the condition of the players, they can actually still be said to be balanced in this regard.
But on the other hand, with the current conditions, especially looking at the odds, it is certain that Leipzig is the favorite in the match which will be held at the Berlin Olympic Stadium because with the mental condition and performance in this season's competition, Leipzig still has a better score, especially for the DFB as well as Leipzig. destroying his opponent by a margin of more than 2 goals which could have been a consideration.

And so my Leipzig team seems to be the favorite against Frankfurt.

It would be very natural for RB Leipzig to be the favorite in the DFB Pokal final, especially if we refer to the performance of these two teams in the Bundesliga. Indeed, Dortmund fervent fans have come to represent the team creating a memorable atmosphere at every game. It is true however, that on times their players lacked a strong winning mindset. Both the teams have come the long way in the DFB Pokal so its not like a league game. Both the teams know its the final stage and whoever wins this is gonna  lift the trophy. Yeah Leipzig is in very consistent form but Frankfurt isn't a bad team either. Frankfurt have some really good players in attack who can really score and an early goal can really set things off for Leipzig in this final game.

I am with Lafu on this one. I have seen Leipzig flop up in some of the easy matches in league.

The way Dortmund played that day, in contrast, was really unfortunate in my opinion; their coach, in my opinion, was pressing them rather than encouraging them to calm down and play a good game without realizing that thousands of fans are waiting to see what they will do and defeat Mainz, I also believe that the coach and players were overconfident in their ability to easily defeat Mainz because they had been defeating other teams.
I was shocked when Mainz defeated Dortmund. Given that Dortmund had every potential to win the trophy this season, it greatly disappointed me to see them lose to Bayern Munich after such a long wait.
 

The odds currently available are Leipzig @1.70 and Eintracht Frankfurt @4.50 so obviously, Leipzig is the favorite team to win in the DFB Pokal final this time. Also, at least it makes sense that Leipzig are still the favorites to win because in reality, Leipzig has a target of being able to defend the DFB Pokal title because last season Leipzig was the team that won the DFB Pokal trophy. Another factor is that Leipzig's final position in the Bundesliga standings also looks clearly better than Eintracht Frankfurt. Therefore, Leipzig's chances in the DFB Pokal final this time are still good, because Leipzig still has better quality.

For sure Leipzig will be and is the favorite in the DFB Cup final match on the paper.
But Frankfurt should be not underestimated and hopefully the have all players ready to play that final game.
I am with Frankfurt in this coming game.
