Well looking at the statistics, it was a pretty even game between those two teams. Bayern is was leading in terms of ball control and completed passes, but that is the case in almost any game where Bayern is involved and those stats alone do not mean much. In terms of shots and shots on target both teams were almost completely equal. Of course it was pretty weird how the goals of Bayer Leverkusen happened, because i think it has never happened before, that a player got a yellow card for a dive two times and that this decision gets revoked two times and instead a penalty is given to the player. Still it was correct for the VAR to insist in both cases.

Frankfurt could come from behind and threaten Leipzig and Freiburg right now. There is still a difference of 5 points between them, but that shouldn't give any comfort. If Frankfurt wants to take part in the Champions league, it must at least finish in the top 4 places. That's why I'm sure the champions league race will be more exciting.

I don’t think failure to score from open play is attributed to playing poor. A team might be playing so well but the defense of the opponent will be so strong that they can’t penetrate in. Leverkusen played well and I think Bayern failure was due to the clumsy challenge by the defense and Leverkusen capitalized on the mistake. But with just one point I still think Bayern can win the title because they still have the Der Klassica to win

I agree that Leverkusen is not a "bad" team but that doesn't change the fact that Bayern is the best team or at least should have been the best team. In a league situation where they lost the leadership due to this loss, you have to agree that they needed a win, doesn't matter who it was against, it could have been dortmund, leverkusen or schalke, doesn't matter who it is against but they needed a win.

Sometimes you lose even when the leadership is at stake, just last week Dortmund got a draw against Schalke, the worst team in the league. That is why this wasn't really a win from Leverkusen but more like a loss from Bayern instead because they could have won if they played like they normally play.
