That was quite unexpected result from Bayern! A defeat against Leverkusen which isn't playing their best season made Bayern look unstable here.
When you see Bayern playing in Champions League and kicking PSG then losing a simple domestic game whether vs Leverkusen or another easier team, you wonder know what's going on with them.
Bayern lost the first place for Dortmund which had a great game against Koln and defeated them by 6 goals. So Bayern are 1 point behind of Dortmund and 4 points away from Union with only 9 matches left in this season.

Dortmund had a really great week thanks to Leverkusen today. I wasn't waiting for Bayern Munich to lose this game. I even thought that they would win by a close margin. But they just couldn't maintain their score advantage here. Leverkusen scored two penalties and they were also in their lucky day. I didn't like Bayern Munich in defense today.

Leverkusen were comfortable about creating dangerous attacks against them. I know that Bayern Munich are focused on the Champions League more. But this kind of results can cost them the Bundesliga title on one hand.

The best case scenario happened for Borussia Dortmund this week, they won and Bayern lost. I was kinda expecting this, at some point Bayer Leverkusen had to beat Bayern, as they haven't in last seven games. Finally this streak over. Unexpected part was two penalties for Leverkusen but it doesn't really matter, a goal is a goal.
Now hopes are up for Dortmund. Will we see another champion after a decade finally? I hope so. But there are still nine games and the big game after national break will be very important for both teams.

Leverkusen always had a big rivalry with Bayern so I expected nothing less from them today because if we take the game report , we saw clearly that Leverkusen was the team that had more desire to win today , they had more versatility today and also they were coming with a great form behind them that boost them with confidence that they could actually win today and even more than this , they had a comeback which kinda maintain the same boost and morality on the team with high chances to maintain the winning streak for next games.

Bayern...they are having a clear target this year and that is to win UCL. If they eliminate City , I think they will win the trophy as well.

2 Palacios penalties put Leverkusen ahead in this game and of course this gives Dortmund a chance to be temporarily top of the bundesliga as they are 1 point ahead now.
This is clearly getting more exciting because in the next match they will meet and that can also prove whether Dortmund can win in that match or not.
It would be great if they could win and secure 3 points so that the difference would be even bigger later.

Leverkusen - Bayern Munich was a really enjoyable game for me honestly. Leverkusen somehow managed to win the game by 2-1 which was unexpected to me.

Because the final moments of the game were really exciting. Bayern Munich were like in all-out attack mode and found so many big goal chances also. But they wasted all of them. I must admit another thing also that Hradecky's goalkeeping skills were impressive today. He also played a big role in securing this 2-1 advantage. Maybe Palacios scored the goals by penalties but Adli's contribution in this win can be bigger in fact. Because he got those penalties. His situation with the referee was really funny indeed. Grin

I watched the second half. Both Leverkusen's goals came from the same situation. They were funny events.
