Yes, it's quite surprising for a small club where this is only their second season in the Bundesliga but they have been able to give their best in the first 2 matches even apart from being the most productive club in these 2 matches, they are also the only club to keep a cleansheet and this is a good thing for Heidenheim.

Last season they did well to move up and finish 8th and in the Conference League at the end of the table and they are looking to repeat that this season. However, this can't be a complacency because if it's not taken care of, they could lose momentum just like Union did last season especially when their schedule is already quite busy, which will be dangerous for Heidenheim if this is a complacency at the beginning of the season.

Hell yeah, Heidenheim's a kick in the teeth for the Bundesliga big boys. After Leverkusen's surprise last season, it's great to see another underdog shaking things up. Competition is good for the league The team's organization. Defense wins championships, and Heidenheim's got it figured out. But remember Union Berlin started hot last year, then fizzled out. Heidenheim needs to avoid that trap
This is what Heidenheim must pay attention to because after all, when a club is still unable to adapt to a busy schedule it can be a difficult thing for player rotation and Union Berlin last season should be an example where the wrong early season decision by selling several players and trying to focus on almost all competitions undertaken in the end this backfired where in every match (competition) they ran it ended in failure and Heidenheim must reflect on the Union case last season so that what happened to them is not the same this season especially since this is the first time they are in a big competition even though it is only in the Conference League.

Quote
Squad depth, fixture congestion - these are the challenges. They'll face the big guns soon enough. Can they keep their heads above water? That's the question. Leverkusen showed it's possible to go from underdog to contender. Heidenheim's got the early momentum, but the season is long. Let's see if they've got the grit to make this a real run
We can't compare Leverkusen and Heidenheim because statistically it is different especially when talking about Leverkusen although they are still the underdogs for the big commissions but their experience is much better but this is different from Heidenheim which is a debutant club with minimal resources because their experience, players and money are still very lacking.

If they can't compete bigger then it's important for them to realize that focusing on just one competition is very good because it can keep them out of more trouble. But when they can compete and focus on their performance then trying for more is even better.

After Leverkusen failed to defeat Leipzig and disappointed the fans, this time Leverkusen must secure a victory against Hoffenheim.
It may be too early to discuss this, but the results obtained seem very easy to predict because Leverkusen has no injured players, while Hoffenheim has several key players who are injured.  Betting on Leverkusen to win over 2.5 is a wise choice.
Leverkusen football team could not win last match and team could do only 2 goals as comparison to 3 goals of RB Leipzig football team. RB Leipzig teak gave all effort to win this match and Openda changed the side of match by doing 2 goals at crucial time when team needed that. He did his first goal at the 57 minutes of the match and that was second goal of his team and after that goal the score of both teams was equal. After a few minutes he actively used his mind and he did next goal at the 80 minutes and that was match deciding goal and after that no team did goal and team won the match by 3-2 goals. RB Leipzig team has third position in the points table because they played two matches and they won both matches and have 6 points.
There was a lot of hope from this team to win this match but their effort and hard work was good.  Their players scored two goals but they could not win.  Had it not been for the third goal, the match would have been tied or Leverkusen players would have scored more goals than the opposing team.  But whoever showed more effort and speed won the match by scoring more goals.  And that's all the more regrettable because there was so much hope with Leverkusen.  If they worked hard and struggled, they could have won the match, but due to luck and lack of speed, they would lose the match.  If you see, time is taken too much, these players should score in minimum time, because in the end, when the reason for the lack of goals is getting defeat, change the direction of the match by working harder and scoring.  And this position is due to their hard work and good performance otherwise their position would be like those teams which are weak.  The team is playing well and their hard work is paying off.

Losing Nico Schlotterbeck also made the end of the second half not too favorable for Dortmund so it was still good enough for Dortmund to get a point in this match because if in the end Nico Schlotterbeck was rewarded with a red card at the start of the second half maybe the result would be a little different even Dortmund could have lost points.

That was really sad to see.  Sad  I wouldn't expect it from a really good talent like Schlotterbeck. He left his team with 10 players there and affected their chance to win directly. But I don't want to go harsh too much. Because he is one of the most valuable players in the squad. Not only by value but also by talent.  Wink
The wrong decision was made when a late tackle was made which earned him a red card but that is something that I think is normal when the match tension is already starting to heat up so there is nothing to regret because after all it happened because of the accidental reflexes created when the match was in progress.

Dortmund did not lose this match and they only drew so we don't need to feel that they have lost in any case.  Even though they are the favorites in the match but when the game ends in a draw then i think it is a natural thing to happen because this kind of thing is common even though it is done by Dortmund.

They just need to try to do better in future matches because it's still early in the season so Dortmund's chances are still very big to be able to compete from the start of the season in the race for the trophy.

The season is still young and at the beginning so i guess there will be coming a few more teams into that fight.
After 2 matchdays you cant say really if they keep that performance and others maybe catching up.
But yeah Bayern Munich and Leipzif are for sure always teams that have the ability to be in the top of the table.
Leverkusen , Dortmund and maybe Stuttgart will be recover and join this party , or Heidenheim making a surprise this season.

Bayern Munich and Leipzig have won their first two matches. They have been able to perform very well in both the matches. But I had higher expectations from Stuttgart this season. This team performed brilliantly in the last season. And Stuttgart have done their best this season to strengthen their squad. But even then this team failed to win both matches. They lost against Freiburg and shared the points with Mainz. Due to weak defense, Stuttgart lost points in both matches. But I will say that this team will make a comeback very quickly.

On the other hand, the Leverkusen team lost against Leipzig in the last match. Leverkusen suffered defeat in the Bundesliga after perhaps a year and a half. This group is also quite strong. With Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Dortmund and Leipzig fighting for the title this season, the season will be more competitive. Dominating the Bundesliga will be more difficult for Bayern Munich.

I think the single-handed domination of Bayern Munich in the league is long gone. It finished pretty marginally last year, and I don't think it's making a return anytime soon. Now the other clubs are much more aware, more calculative, and more determined to win the Bundesliga title.

I think Bayern had a decent start and Vincent Kompany's men would like to show that they are the best team in all of Germany, and they are not gone. I think Kompany himself was doubted a lot, and he would like to answer on all the criticisms by winning games on the pitch. I really want to see this from Bayern.

Leipzig deserves their praises for having a strong start to the season, by also taking down the mighty Bayer Leverkusen. Bayer was consistent in not losing league games until then. I think Leipzig always has a talented squad, and they deserve to win more games and challenge the title.
Stuttgart is still hopeful of being stronger this season, and I think they will. A lot of teams start the season slow, but the quality emerges and they answer strongly later. Sebastian Hoeneß will ensure that hopefully. Bundesliga this season should be great.

Bayer Leverkusen is one of the few clubs that I have come to respect lately. Their level of optimism and strong teamwork is one thing that has risen the club up to the position they reached last season. What I encourage them to do is to make the team more strong by adding more talented players into the club. If I was the manager, What I think I will do is to purchase a senior and star player.
We should expects more from the club this season but losing to RB Leipzig, I think they're absolutely on a constant deviate sector. Bayer Leverkusen was low profile club until  Xabi Alonso came and took over. I would say, he's the best thing that has ever happened to Bayer Leverkusen in previous season. Xabi Alonso was appointed headcoaach and he didn't hesitate to bring in good results for his players and the club. Making them win the Bundesliga title for the first time in the club's 120 years of existence and also winning the DFB Pokal and UEFA Europa League under Xabi Alonso.
After Xabi Alonso successfully led Leverkusen to win the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal trophies, all teams now respect them and there is no longer the word "Neverkusen". Last week their unbeaten record in domestic competition was stopped by Leipzig, it was surprising and in reality it is not easy to continue to maintain the record. However, considering the journey is still very long, Leverkusen still has the potential to be able to defend the trophy this season, even though we currently know Bayern Munchen is more consistent. I predict Leverkusen will be able to rise in the next match, Xabi Alonso cool hand seems to still work well.

Meanwhile, the challenges faced by Xabi Alonso this season are certainly much tougher, because they will play in the Champions League, their journey there will certainly be very different from the Europa League last season. Xabi Alonso managerial quality will really be tested this season, to prove that their success last season was not just luck. With almost the same squad depth, Leverkusen will clearly be taken into account in any competition.

Matchday 3 will begin with Dortmund hosting Heidenheim at Signal Iduna Park as the home base of The Black Yellows, with the previous 2 matches Dortmund have not experienced defeat and have only been able to collect 1 win and 1 draw. A 3 point victory is an important target to be utilized, because with that Dortmund will immediately lead the top of the standings with a collection of 7 points.
Actually this game presents them with an opportunity to get to the top of the table and this is a seeming chance to probably stay in the title race if they can add up consistency from that point, the black and yellow team is known for their proficiency in grooming of quality players,  so I'm believing amongst them now is one player who's going to be of a great performance and help them a whole lot, I see that they were also active in the transfer window and it appears they are aiming for something really huge this season particularly to win the league title possibly, that will most likely be seen in their performances, I'm very optimistic about what dortmund will be able to get in this game.

At the beginning of this season there was indeed surprise where several team performed less than satisfactory, not only Dortmund but also Leverkusen and Stuttgart, but this is still early and there are still many matches ahead for them to prove their performance and compete competitively.
In the next match between Dortmund and Heidenheim I think this will be quite an interesting match because Heidenheim itself is in good form for the beginning of this season, besides Dortmund also has the advantage as the host.
I think there is some pressure that Heidenheim can feel and also some pressure will be obtained by Dortmund because Heidenheim could also show big surprise for all of us, but it is clear that Dortmund is the favorite in this match.
I not so sure Dortmund can win very easily, but I want to see how Dortmund can play home game and take advantage of all these advantages.
After first two games we are having impressive start from the Heidenheim with 2 wins 2 clean sheets now heading for visit to Dortmund where things will be not easy because they are also having good start even their attack is not giving results as they needed, but we can hope good from them in coming season.

While in last season we have best from the Borussia Dortmund as they were beaten to Real Madrid so it's surely time for them to give their best again and stay in good Heidenheim is surprise package even it's just third game, and we will have them in many more games with they are also having spot into Conference Cup where they will try to give their best and stay into good for rest of the season.

Heidenheim is small club but still their ambitions are high, and they are looking for new history in Bundesliga like Bayer Leverkusen but it's not easy even all is possible for any team with their consistency and quality.

Bundesliga can be categorized as a competitive league. The weak teams you mentioned do not mean that they cannot provide a surprise, including Heidenheim, they could show it later at Signal Iduna Park, and I do not agree with the definite guarantee that you said. If it is true that Dortmund will definitely win, does that mean Heidenheim cannot win? How do bookies provide odds if victory is certain in Dortmund's hands, and I as a bettor would be happy if it was guaranteed. Grin
In my opinion, both teams have a chance as long as they can maximize the existing opportunities by focusing and working hard in the match.
Every club wants to win, there comes the challenging opposition. Borrusia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen are the only promising clubs that are capable of lifting the Bundlesliga title this season. They’re competitive enough and any club sitting at the top is mostly temporary and will definitely come down when the time is triggered. Bundlesliga is not some random league that average clubs record thrilling winning against the elite ones, it takes only hard work and consistency for these average clubs to boosts their form towards their oppositions.

Leverkusen did not suddenly become a solid team, they have developed their performance since Alonso took charge of Bayer Leverkusen. In the middle of the 2022/23 season, Alonso took charge of this team which was slumped in the relegation zone. Gradually, under his guidance Leverkusen was able to finish in sixth place in the Bundesliga. Last season, Alonso added strength to his team by bringing in several newcomers and in the end they were able to break the dominance of the giant Bayern Munich. The point is, thanks to Xabi Alonso's touch, Leverkusen was able to perform perfectly without losing. Although, in several matches there was luck involved.

Talking about Leverkusen's defeat in the second week of the Bundesliga, their opponents were not a weak team. Although Xabi Alonso's team dominated the course of the match, Marco Rose, Leipzig's coach, did not mean that he did not study the tactics and weaknesses of his opponent's team. This is football, not always a team will win all matches. IMO, the defeat to Leipzig last week actually made Alonso evaluate the weaknesses of his team more. with the defeat, he has work to do so that in the matches they will play they can show maximum performance and win the match. well, this defeat is something natural.

Leverkusen really turn monster under the leadership of Alonso last season by destroying any team they come across, Alonso had really helped Leverkusen to be popular, before I considered them worthless to compete for the title, I equally agreed with you that they are in the stage of collapsing before Alonso came and moved them from nothing to something, in last four seasons the end up in three place hoping they will improve to the top the following season but unfortunately the declined in their performance and drop down to sixth place, then Alonso appear and rescued them to the top of the table from the beginning of the season to the end as the champions of bundesliga title.

Following their defeat for the week two actually shocked me because even though I wasn't expected them to play like last season I don't expect sudden defeat, I was expecting them to face defeat maybe when playing with Bayern Munich or other tough team, I see this as avenue for Bayern Munich to take the lead but still the league is just starting.

A difficult match with Werder, the referee handed out ten yellow cards during the match, eight of them were given to Dortmund players, and Schlotterbeck managed to get two cards and had to leave the field for the rest of the match. Dortmund played roughly, maybe because they couldn't keep up with Werder players, but the hosts spent most of the match defending and, by the way, they did it very well. I haven't noticed Dortmund acting so roughly on the field before, maybe it's the influence of Shahin, it's hard to say yet.

Nuri Şahin is having history of aggressive play so we have same view in this game while we have 8 yellow cards for them with Schiotterbeck have red card as well I was also shocked with this display of game by Borussia Dortmund because I never have them like this before.

But still things are looking much better, and we will have good performance from them because now we are having some good improvement and all teams at the top are also having level this is going to be interesting even we are in early rounds and things will be interesting near the half of this season while we will have some good outcome from few teams

But one thing is sure playing like this mean roughly has never been ideal for Borussia Dortmund and it's also not going to help them in future they need to be stayed with their own way which was much better and suitable.

It will not be easy to get senior players who are already stars if the club's finances are still not that big because Leverkusen's finances are not as big as the teams in Saudi Arabia. But that doesn't mean it is also impossible for ordinary players because they must be very interested in being in a team that has won the Bundesliga like last season even though they also have to adapt well when playing in the Bundesliga. I still have more faith in the polish done by Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen because he was able to make ordinary players work well in the Leverkusen team until his team became a candidate to be reckoned with in the Bundesliga until this season.
I think it is better for them to look for young players who have great potential, because as you said to bring in players who are already stars they must have large and stable finances. Indeed, they will also be able to bring in star players if they force themselves, but that will also be a problem in the future because they will have more expenses than they can afford. Many teams become unstable after they bring in star players by forcing themselves. That is clearly an unhealthy way for them to do it, they do not consider the future when doing so. It is better to be an ordinary team but evenly distributed, rather than having one star player who will only increase the burden of expenses.

Leverkusen was a name of terror for all teams in the Bundesliga last season. No one expected Leverkusen to perform so well all of a sudden. Another big reason why Leverkusen did so well last season was that the big teams didn't have much of a plan for this team. However, with the performance of this team last season, each team planned separately against Leverkusen, which resulted in this team losing one match at the beginning of the season.

I said last season that Leverkusen won't be able to perform as well as they are doing in the Bundesliga this season, and I've been putting Bayan Munich ahead ever since. But I must agree with what you said, any big team can be beaten by Leverkusen so every big team has to be careful and make no mistakes especially Bayern Munich if they want to win the Bundesliga title next season.
RB Leipzig win is impressive as this is now good opportunity for the other teams to have better performance and results against them while things are surely not easy for them because now they are also having challenging time in Champions League we will have some pressure on them and Xabi Alonso.

Last season we have Bayern Munich troubling and then Borussia Dortmund was also not performing as they needed, but now we have few good improvements like Borussia Dortmund is back on good and Bayern Munich's start is also good, so things are surely interesting for all top teams I am expecting surprise from the RB Leipzig with things will be good between them for staying into top four as it's never been easy for anyone.
From here now all is wide open for the top teams to deliver and have their best because with this start all are looking on same level of quality.

But the problem is Heidenheim is still the same as other weak teams and only made a good start this season. In fact, they will still fall against a strong team like Dortmund and that is a definite guarantee. Just look at the opponents that Heidenheim previously defeated were only teams of the same level as them, namely Augsburg and St Pauli, so the 6 points they got is not something amazing.

There is no hope for Heidenheim to win and even if they take the lead first, Dortmund only needs to make a comeback to collect full points at home. Without Guirassy I think Dortmund can still put pressure on their opponents well and don't forget Dortmund still has Maximilian Beier who played well last season with Hoffenheim and of course he will not just sit back.

Previously  we also thought the same thing when Leverkusen were able to achieve consecutive wins and were undefeated in the league, but in fact we can see how Leverkusen, who was previously a weak team in the Bundesliga can able to show consistency in their performance in last season, what Heidenheim has achieved at this time of course not guaranteed to do like Leverkusen did last season, but looking at Heidenheim journey so far I actually hope they can give us a surprise this season, the match against Dortmund will clearly be the first test and also a challenge for them to maintain their position in top bundesliga standing, the current leagues in Europe has changed drastically where many teams that are considered weak are actually able to put pressure on the strong teams in the league, so it is not surprising that bookies no longer dare to give big odds to strong teams during this time.

Heidenheim have good start in this season after two consecutives winning against St Pauli and Ausgburg but not sure until how many games weeks later keep consistent with their performance on the winning trend.
Upcoming match will face difficult team Dortmund and waiting will success continue the winning trend or Bundesliga dominate only by top teams such as Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen.

Bayern Munich keep get consistent performance after two consecutive winning under Vincent Kompany era, bit unbelievable since appointing as manager many people expected with Kompany get failure bring back Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga tittle race. Until games week 2, only three teams success winning two matches from Heidenheim, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.

Neither team can win, for example, 100 games in a row, and the odds reflect the expected statistics as if the teams played many games against each other. Now bookmakers give 1.38 for Dortmund to win, this means (taking into account the bookmaker's interest in not being in the red) that in their opinion Dortmund will win no more than 71 games out of 100. It is obvious that in the remaining 29 games the underdog gets a draw/win and yes, this is quite possible.

As I said before at the start of this season, people expected to see a perfect performance from Leverkusen during this season even if they make one mistake that's not right because the Leverkusen fans think they should still stay unbeaten and they should still win the Bundesliga title while even a great team like Leverkusen can sometimes be made mistake and lose points but this is not a reason to say they are weak.

Bayer Leverkusen is one of the clubs that opponents fear in the Bundesliga. Not all clubs can beat Laverkusen easily because they were at the top of the standings last year with good performance. It would be really good, as you said, that Laverkusen should add several senior players and star players, especially strikers and defensive midfielders, so that they can be more confident of winning this season.

Yeah maybe a lot or a few expecting that Leverkusen was going to be doing the same as last season but i have known that will be not happen again.
Its also not sure that they will be win the german league again , even they are one of the favorite for that but this season there more teams that can making it.

facing Dortmund might be quite a tough match. they have to play at Dortmund's home ground and we know they are a strong team.
facing Mainz and Freiburg can also be proof of their strength. both teams should not have a different level of strength from Heidenheim. and will certainly make betting opportunities more interesting.
Heidenheim has scored 6 goals without conceding in the first 2 matches. they are the most productive team at the start of the season.
Looks like that they have done there homework , its really awesome to see there progress since they was coming into the german league last year.
Never thought that Heidenheim will be doing this great as they have doing it and now they play also international.
