I haven't even heard of Bayern Munich's name for once among all those transfer rumours for a long time. They must be feeling like they don't need to make big transfers these days. It is true if we are talking about the Bundesliga of course. Because they are already very comfortable against the others despite the bad start to the league. The championship has become like a magnet for them.
They don't need to make any important transfer to win the league as a result.
However things might be different when it comes to the Champions League. Because the real competition for them is there obviously. They might need to get stronger in attacking line especially to beat the biggest title contenders. They have a matchup against one of them already in this round. But it looks like they won't bring a striker in January anyway.
Oh, you haven't searched really hard my friend and in the recent injury of Manuel Neuer some speculated that they are getting a new goalkeeper for the team and I think I have said already in my last post, that there are pecking a goalkeeper from Yann Sommer, Dominik Livakovic, and Emiliano Martínez and this was from December 20, that this rumor had been escalating the internet, and there are also Rumor about contacting the agents of Marcus Thuram, and on December 22, there have shown an article about Bayern Munich getting interested with Malo Gusto, you can surely google all of it if you want,
Even though Bayern Munich have lost their main goalkeeper who has been on the crossbar for many years, but I believe it is not a big problem for them in this Bundesliga. As you said, Bayern Munich has no competitors that will make them have to work twice as hard for the title. Borussia Dortmund, which has been their main competitor, is now in an unfavorable situation for Borussia Dortmund.
There are many teams that don't really need a big-shot name of a goalkeeper if they can provide a great offense their offense can surely be a defense sometimes, but there are instant that you can really never know the outcome of the play if they want a play of 100% sure capability they need a great goalkeeper that can keep up with the pace,
I must admit that both Union Berlin and Freiburg have surprised me a lot this season because both teams have played incredible football so far in the season. Freiburg is currently ranked second in the league right behind Bayern Munich, and if they are able to win their next match, they will be only one point away from being the league's top team. It is my belief that they will be able to give Bayern fierce competition for the league title in the latter part of the season. The form of Borussia Dortmund this season has disappointed me a lot, as they are only in sixth place in the league right behind Union Berlin at the moment.
For me, Freiburg is the only team that I was really surprised with their improvements, Union Berlin on the other hand was exposed during the mid of matchday, at the beginning of the season they are really keeping the pace by not getting any losses, but Eintracht Frankfurt have exposed them, of what they really are, but many believe this is a lucky win for Frankfurt because Union Berlin got a draw match against Bayern Munich, and they didn't know that Bayern is just adjusting their position and Sadio Mane's position aswell, and they got exposed by Bochum the 2nd time, so their confidence was withered they got burned by Leverkusen and this was the return of Leverkusen to making their wins, and was exposed by Freiburg, the last time, so I am not truly surprise about Union Berlin at all,
