There are several clubs that we can see where they failed in their second season after they had a very good season,
but in my opinion this is different for Leverkusen, because they have good chemistry, and we can see from the composition of players that it is actually not that luxurious,
in fact Players who were dim can actually return to their best performance, so that can also be an asset for them in the following season.
I agree fully on that , yeah there are much Teams that we have seen struggling in the next season after they got a very good one.
I also think that Leverkusen will be continue there playing next season as they have done this year , hopefully.
Would be nice if Stuttgart keeping there performance too , so we have a lot of good teams that fighting for the title.

Today the relegation game between Düsseldorf and Bochum will be done.
I made a risky bet on Bochum that they still make it.

Just like in Italy Napoli wasn't able to even finish top four this season and rhey were thw winners of the league title last season, Leverkusen aswell will need much more than thw effort they did our in this season if they would want to maintain the bundesliga title by next season because now every team has got to know they are no longer a small team and playing against them, they will always have that in mind unlike this season they didn't have that much attention at the beginning rill at the point the season was about ending and it became obvious how good they have become.
Leverkusen is the most perfect team I have ever seen. One win in the UEL final and they will ensure themselves as the only team to be unbeaten in a season in all competitions on the UEFA calendar. It was a very prestigious achievement and could never be repeated even by Leverkusen itself.

Next season they will be one of the teams to watch out for. A defeat to Atalanta will expose their weaknesses and other teams will also try to copy the same tactics. Leverkusen needs to look for several new players to add strength to the team. I see that current players cannot play optimally as Xabi hopes. In fact I can say their current squad is not a great squad with great players. There are no famous players or young talents among them. However, the mentality and tactics used by Xabi succeeded in making them a very competitive team.

After their failure in the UEFA Europa League, in the end, Bayer Leverkusen won the DFB-Pokal. Congratulations to those who have finally held 2 medals this season.
Bayer Leverkusen treble accomplishment shattered and they have to settle for two titles this season. The DFB-Pokal was important for Bayer Leverkussen after failing to win Atalanta in the Europa League final. They've been one the promising club this season with just a defeat. Xabi Alonso is currently the main instrument, he has helped his club deliver good news and will always do the pushing moves to making things running smoothly.

Even though they failed in the europa league but it doesn't deny the fact that if leverkusen was owning bundesliga and DFB pokal. It's more than enough for xabi alonso. There may be a lot of clubs will try to approach him as a new coach.
Invicible record by bayern leverkusen + two trophies. There is no a better result rather than this. Xabi deservesa lot of appreciation for all of his dedication to the club. Xabi was not only a coach but he likes a teacher for whole players of leverkusen

No reason for leverkusen to let him leave from the club that fast. We may be seeing xabi to stay there for several years.

Manchester city has been putting xabi alonso on its shortlist as a guardiola's successor.

This case now is simple as saying winning the trophy is easy but defending it is as hard as a nothing he has ever known before because almost the team must have studied and understood the way he plays and they would have to put twice as much efforts as they do want to maintain their position and definitely all teams wouldn't like to be beaten twice for Bayern Leverkusen to make a record on their name so all team in the bundesLiga would be out for them and what they have to offer.
Defending the trophy has always been the most challenging part of winning titles most time, it's sometimes very possible to have a one time win at a trophy but winning it for the second time and repeatedly has always been challenging to a few team as it's not been such an easy one for them because they always definitely find it even difficult thw following season as they happens to get more attention.

Except for some top elite teams who has been able to win the league title repeatedly and are now seen as a regular thing for them such that they don't really get to find it tough winning thw title buy even with such teams, they do get to a point in thw season where they are unable to win the title again so they just result to making sure they finish tops of the table probably around top four or as the runner up at the end of the season. Maintain a title usually requires a team to put in more effort than they did to win that trophy you be able to maintain it.

Yes, definitely. For Leverkusen and other clubs, Leverkusen's achievements this season under Xabi have been truly fantastic. It doesn't need to be in accordance with everything the fans want, because, sometimes this is precisely what can make Leverkusen become much better and stronger in the next season. Although it might be quite difficult to defend the title, because of course Bayern Munich and other clubs are competing closely. However, as long as Xabi is still there and they can get more pro players, Bayer Leverkusen should be able to handle it very well.
I completely agree Leverkusen success this season under Xabi leadership has been truly impressive. While it is natural for fans to have their own expectations sometimes going against grain can lead to even greater improvements. Defending their title won't be easy especially with powerhouses like Bayern Munich and other strong contenders. However with Xabi at helm and addition of more talented players I believe Leverkusen has the potential to rise to the challenge and continue their upward trajectory. Xabi guidance and the team determination will be key to their success in the next season.
And this definitely makes Leverkusen's targets even bigger next season. Of course, this makes Xabi have a much bigger challenge than this season. It won't be easy for Xabi. but that doesn't mean it's impossible. Leverkusen certainly gives Xabi access to choose the top players he is targeting, and this can help Xabi to realize even bigger dreams and targets for Leverkusen.

However, I have heard several rumors that there are several big clubs who want Xabi to become their coach. And when asked by journalists, unfortunately Xabi did not want to comment. It's natural, because after all, Xabi just wanted to celebrate Leverkusen's victory in the DFB Pokal and also their success with the team.

Now since the season is over, the teams are trying to improve the team and hire more and better players for their teams to have better performance in the next season. But, I think considering the performance of Xabi Alonso and his players during this season, the main goal for Leverkusen should be keeping the players they have and they should try to have a more stable team.
If they can have the same performance in the next season, they can be definitely the main team to race for the Bundesliga title and they can even have hope for the Champions League.

Bayer has a good squad, maybe Alonso will try to improve some positions, but he shouldn’t demand big finances for transfers. The next season will be a new test for Alonso, whether he can repeat the success in the Bundesliga, how Bayer will play in the Champions League, these are all very important questions. If Alonso had left for Bayern and Bayer's results had worsened, everyone would have said that the reason was obvious, but if he decided to stay, then he would have to work even harder, staying at the top is always more difficult.
Almost every season the competition is always fierce and more competitive, so defending the trophy is clearly not easy to do, because all Bundesliga contestants will definitely build a better squad. Bayern and Dortmund will be Leverkusen toughest competitors in their efforts to defend the title, but when you see that Xabi is still in the same position as manager, it doesn't seem like there is too much worry.

Xabi certainly understands what he has to do in the transfer window, he will definitely add depth to the squad to face tougher competition, where Leverkusen is required to perform stably at domestic level and in the Champions League. After recording a historic season, expectations for Leverkusen are also increasingly high.

Even though they are unable to repeat their unbeaten record, appearing consistently and winning trophies again is a very realistic target for Leverkusen next season. Leverkusen bargaining value in each competition will certainly be taken into account by all contestants, especially if Xabi is able to prevent a number of key players from leaving for other clubs. The season has just ended, next season is still quite far away, and currently Leverkusen is still deep in celebration.

Considering the achievements of Bayer Leverkusen under the tutelage of Xabi Alonso on the just concluded season, there's no doubt to the fact that the Spanish young manager is currently one of the best football managers. At the start of the season, very few persons would've believed that the club will achieve everything they did achieve this season. Bayern Munich struggled to win the German Bundesliga title in the 2022/23 season because they were yet replace their former striker Robert Lewandowski but after Bayern Munich management succeeded in signing former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane last summer almost everyone had already concluded in their mind that Bayern Munich was going to win the the German Bundesliga in the concluded season but that didn't discourage Xabi Alonso from helping his club lift the German title for the first time in the club's history.
Becoming the first team manager of Bayer Leverkusen in 2022 was Xabi Alonso's first job as a club's first team manager and he still went on to build a very formidable team who now has the record for the most unbeaten run in Europe. I think Xabi Alonso will do more in years to come

Bayern Munich has finished in the third position. Of course, everybody knows that.  but remember all the people were joking about the 'Harry Kane' curse being Real when Bayern Munich lost against Leipzig towards the start of the season? I believe it was a cup match.  of course, I do not believe those things. but that joke actually came true.  Since the last 11 years, they finished as the winner of the Bundesliga. and as soon as he joined them they have lost the Bundesliga title.  and not only that they were unable to win anything.  I hope the performance is going to improve from them in the next season.  and obviously, those who actually think that the problem was 'Harry Kane',  they are definitely stupid. They are going to change the coach going into the next season.

I hope they will be able to bring in better results with the new coach.  and it is good to see that they have actually realized that the problem was the coach.  Not 'Harry Kane'.  it was actually very surprising because so far we have seen that Bayern Munich does not get any competition.  and this season they were not able to give any competition to Leverkusen. That was pretty strange.  since we are not used to seeing that. I hope there is going to be a big competition between them and Leverkusen for the Bundesliga title next season

Xabi Alonso has given his best for Bayer Leverkusen and has only lost once this season when he faced Atalanta in the final although it was the wrong time for Bayer Leverkusen to lose because losing in the final is a mistake that cannot really be made up for in a season that the same so I say that Bayer Leverkusen have lost at the wrong time this season. However, in general, Bayer Leverkusen have also won two trophies which are also quite valuable this season so they are not so sad about the defeat that befell them even though the defeat was in the final.

If anyone says Xabi Alonso is bad, it's funny. With the record he currently has, it's already incredible. Alonso is still young but he's been able to set records that other great coaches rarely can. I was surprised by the result in the Europa League against Atalanta, but that's not a measure to insult Xabi Alonso. Antalanta knew exactly how they could ruin Leverkusen's style of play.

Just look at Xabi Alonso's history as a coach.
2018-2019 Real Madrid U14
2019-2022 Real Sociedad B
2022- Bayer Leverkusen

He has only been a coach for 6 years and has a record of winning the Bundesliga without losing and 1 DBF-Pokal, is there anyone better than him?

Although as a novice coach, but Xabi managed to overcome the challenges so far, Xabi had very little coaching experience compared to other coaches so that indeed when Xabi was appointed as Leverkusen main coach, of course many doubted him at that time, including Leverkusen fans considered that Xabi's appointment as coach was a fatal mistake because of the lack of experience he had so far,  But today we can see how the underrated Xabi was able to bring glory to Leverkusen after they went unbeaten in the domestic league and clinched their first Bundesliga trophy in 120 years.

The lack of experience he has in coaching, but he turned out to be able to bring Leverkusen to be the best team this season in the Bundesliga, this season Xabi has ended the season quite fantastically, so many of us are indeed quite curious about Xabi ability next season to maintain all their achievements this season, Xabi certainly did a difficult job during this time in building Leverkusen but I think next season is the most difficult season For him to maintain everything Xabi managed to achieve this season.

Leverkusen performance this season has been really tremendous not untill they casually lost to Atalanta in the EUROPA final which I felt should have been their highest priority to secure other than the German cup final but nevertheless they at least secured one out of the both finals played.  How could they have lost this one, going two finals and not winning any even for an under club like Kaiserslautern, it would actually be a bad recognition in the face of Xabi and might affect his career probably his continuity as the coach of Leverkusen.

Next season is a very important season for them, because I think there are so many people waiting for them next season. There are many people who want to see what they can do next season, especially in the Champions League. People's expectations of them are getting bigger and bigger, and they have to answer all these expectations with good performance and be able to compete in the highest competitions in Europe.
It would be a shame if we see something again what happend to Union Berlin this season , that they will be the total opposite next season.
But i guess that this will be not the case in Leverkusen , fingers crossed.
I think that they show us some nice good performance again next season.
But the most focus of all the players are next is the coming EM for those that playing it.
There are several clubs that we can see where they failed in their second season after they had a very good season, but in my opinion this is different for Leverkusen, because they have good chemistry, and we can see from the composition of players that it is actually not that luxurious, in fact Players who were dim can actually return to their best performance, so that can also be an asset for them in the following season.

Moreover, Xabi will also remain with them, Xabi should now understand the character of the players he has much better. If he can understand this very well, then he will be able to maximize the player's potential. He also has the opportunity to add several players who can help them next season. However, Xabi also has to be astute in looking at the players he will bring in, he has to be truly effective in recruiting players according to the needs of the squad.

Xabi Alonso doesn't even needs too many transfer by next season, a few transfer if necessary is all he will need because the build up of hi team is still very sound enough thst if they stay consistent with some form of improve, they are definitely going too end next season with another trophy, some how it may look luck for them that Bayern Munich may experience some instability for a while if tuchel leaves and that will be some form of advantage for them.

Leverkusen doesn't needs so much adjustments in their form and strategies of which I'm sure Xabi is aware and may not want to aswell tamper so much with what he has on ground, rather a strategy to make up for injuries and other reason that could cause a player to be absent should be made, probably seeing how well he can strengthen his reserve team just like Madrid does have so their strength will be such that they are most definitely not going to have reason to be scared even if they have a key player who's injured, one thing about the Xabi squad is their abilities of not depending on any player in particular which is definitely helping them a whole lot.

He can further extend this non dependency to his reserve squad so in cases where a switch will be required it wouldn't be challenging as the blend will be perfect and they will always maintain a perfect rhythm at all times, this will also contribute to their strength a d their chances of daring to repeat the same performance they had this season by next season even in a better way probably this time it will be challenging but it's still achievable.

Düsseldorf is a great team who is currently in the top three, I am not sure Bochum will win this match because the opponent they face is quite strong and difficult to beat. but we know that when in the field anything can happen. Here there is still a possibility that Düsseldorf will give Bochum a chance to win and survive the relegation zone.

However, anything is possible in football but I don't think Bochum will survive in this match tonight, they are already down with 3 goals at home, and seems that was the only advantage they had to score a goal. Today Dusseldorf is hosting the match, they have more chances to win because they are quite strong, they finished in 3rd place in Bundesliga 2. I believe they will do anything possible to get promoted to the Bundesliga next season. Bochum should give it a try next season, they may have their chance back to the legend because they have already failed from the first leg.

Now since the season is over, the teams are trying to improve the team and hire more and better players for their teams to have better performance in the next season. Bayer Leverkusen CEO Carro stated that every year they need to sell one big player to find a budget for the new signing. I hope this selling of players does not affect their performance next season because this is the same thing that Dortmund has been doing for many years and they failed to win the Bundesliga title. They sell one big player and buy the average players who cannot perform more than the players they sold. Bayer Leverkusen needs their current players next season to compete with the top clubs from other leagues, I do not see any of their current players performing poorly, If they can't add more players to their squad, I don't think it is right to sell any of their big players because we want history to repeat itself next season.

Hoffenheim and Heidenheim are the two teams that promoted to the Bundesliga this season and both managed to finish side by side and managed to secure a place in European competition. Who would have thought that usually a promoted team like them would be closer to the bottom of the table or in the worst case scenario could be relegated again.

However, we see that they have gone a long way forward and performed very well throughout the season and they proved that by finishing in such a good position. I think it will be a relaxing season for both of them and of course both of them will still be a threat to other teams who are used to competing to secure a place in Europe. I really appreciate the performance of Hoffenheim and Heidenheim who are brave and never give up in providing the best results.
I will not be surprised by the results that Hoffenheim has obtained this season because this is not the first time and this team has also been one of the popular teams in the past that has managed to finish in the best position to get tickets to compete in other competitions such as the European league or European conference league.
but for Heidenheim what surprised me at first was that I didn't realize that this mediocre team had succeeded in getting a European conference league ticket and I think this was lucky for Heidenheim who took advantage of a good opportunity when this season there was no longer any big competition after Bayern Munich dominance had been destroyed by Leverkusen.
this season is very different from previous seasons because there are a lot of changes and this is the first season that I think looks like a surprise for some of the weak teams in the past and this season has had very good results.

in the next season Heidenheim will probably try to show its best performance in the European conference league and Hoffenheim will also try to struggle in the European league but to be honest I doubt Heidenheim in the next season will also fail again.
doesn't mean I'm underestimating but let's see what will happen if what I have said comes true but what is certain is that I believe Heidenheim will have problems arranging the match schedule.

At least Leverkusen has won there game against Kaiserslautern today in the german DFB Cup.
And that 45 Minutes with 10 players after a red card means something i guess.
~

Imagine if Bayer had won the whole season and ended it with two defeats in the finals. It would be a very strange feeling  Grin
But if Kaiserslautern had won, that would also have been a miracle - after all, they are only the 13th team in the second Bundesliga. This team also surprised everyone and I hope to continue to progress. Overall, I am very pleased that Bayer won and did the golden double (without a single defeat in Germany during the season).

Bayer Leverkusen was the best team this season, I would be very surprised if they did not win the cup apart from the league championship. They played great against all German teams throughout the season, and I did not think for a moment that they would lose in the cup final. After many years, they made their fans happy with such statistics.
After their performances this season, expectations have increased a lot, we are now expecting the champions league championship Cheesy
Despite losing their UEFA Europa League final game against Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen's campaign this season is nothing short of extraordinary because I don't think anyone would've have predicted that they'll get everything they got this season at the start of the season. Winning the German Bundesliga ahead of a big team like Bayern Munich isn't an easy task if you ask me so I think Bayer Leverkusen deserves all the accolades they're currently getting and even more. They didn't stop at winning the league but also won the DFB-Pokal to add to their league title. Xabi Alonso's men also broke and set a new record of the most unbeaten run in Europe and qualifed to play in the UEFA Europa League final which they surprisingly lost to Italian side Atalanta.
Leverkusen now have a bigger season ahead of them because they'll be defending the German Bundesliga as well as playing in the UEFA Champions League competition come next season and I think they'll definitely do well in both competitions

Bochum has lost by three goals without reply at home in the Qualification Play-offs match in the last three days and I am not sure that Bochum can make a big comeback when competing at home to Fortuna Düsseldorf because the Bochum team will have to score more goals to stay in Bundesliga next season. So the second leg match for the Qualification Play-offs seems to be a bit difficult for the Bochum team to win because Bochum is already behind with more goals first.

Bochum had to play these matches because of the goal difference. Union Berlin might have had to play these games instead. It looks like a tragic farewell to the Bundesliga. They had a very bad result in the first match. They conceded 3 goals and didn't score any. For me it would be a miracle if they score 4 goals in this match. There are such miracles in football. But Fortuna Düsseldorf showed in the first match that they are a better team than Bochum. I have no clear idea about the outcome of this match. I won't bet on it, but I think Fortuna Düsseldorf are in the Bundesliga.

I still respect Xabi Alonso no matter that they were unable to win Europa league because of his coaching skills which has made him to achieve a record that no coach have achieved throughout the history of Bundesliga. If it happens that Writz is leaving and some other players, he will get a replacement and he knows the player that he will be bringing over that he can do the job.

We might still see a new name from this present Leverkusen squad that will take over the scoring as we have seen that in the past with several clubs. I don't think that it will be a problem for Alonso if he loose some of his players that are after big clubs, he will still build up the team to be as strong as this. However, it will be much better and a relieve to him, if none of his men leaves.
I'm not really sure that next season Xabi Alonso can repeat the achievements they got this season because the habits of a team like this will make it much more difficult to maintain performance like the previous season. It is different from top teams like Bayern Munich because they have much better quality players even though this season they have experienced big failures in all competitions. Bayern Munich just needs to find a coach who has good qualities and their failure this season is much more due to the coach.

Having players come and go is a normal thing in football because there are many clubs that try to monitor the development of the players that Leverkusen has. Xabi Alonso will find it much more difficult to maintain consistency in the best form of play for his team next season because I am sure there are other teams who will try to make changes.

After the end of a full season every team wants to improve their team's performance and in order to improve the performance they recruit players to their club in different ways. There are some players who can't do anything good for the club and the clubs sell those players and the players who can make an impact for the club are signed by the different clubs. Xabi Alonso has certainly been successful this season and he has been successful with his team's performance even though they have had a few mistakes in one match and they have performed well everywhere in the Europa League or local leagues. If Xabi Alonso wants and if the management agrees, then a new player can be added to this club because they need to strengthen this team if they play in the Champions League next season.
