Next season is going to be a nightmare for Bayern Munich. Because they don't have a good coach anymore and Kompany can't race with Leverkusen at all. On the other hand, Leverkusen is not much stronger since they didn't lose any players but they hired some players, and Xabi Alonso is even more experienced and can perform much better than last season.
The wrong decision Bayern Munich made was about their coach and they should be lucky to get good results while they are racing with Leverkusen.
In football, sometimes we have to insert a little hope, because in football anything can happen. Although Xabi Alanso was successful in Leverkusen, it is not certain that this season he can repeat it like last season. Bayern Munich has a good squad, and Kompany cannot be said to be successful as a coach, but when he coaches Burnley and Bayern Munich, of course it will be different, especially in terms of player material. Bayern Munich players are no longer in doubt. So I don't want to underestimate Kompany, Bayern Munich must still be taken seriously by Xabi Alanso in the fight for the Bundesliga title this season.

I say that because I look at history. If you remember, Xabi Alonso previously also brought Real Sociedad B to the relegation zone, then he moved to Leverkusen, surprisingly he managed to achieve invincible. Likewise, Arsene Wenger previously also brought the Japanese team to the relegation zone, then moved to Arsenal suddenly he managed to achieve invincible too. This does not rule out the possibility that Kompany can achieve all that.

Bayern Munich seems to be gambling with Kompany, he is not a great coach and his experience is also very minimal, but Bayern Munich is still determined to bring him in even though his biography as a coach is nothing special. Bayern Munich will certainly face difficulties in Kompany first season as coach, the increasing competition due to the increased performance of their rivals is a big challenge for Bayern Munich who want to win the Bundesliga again.
Xabi Alonso is still in charge of Leverkusen, his squad is intact and he will likely bring in new players to add to the quality of his squad. Leverkusen toughness will continue because there are no changes in the squad, Kompany is certain to lose to Leverkusen because the players are in high confidence after winning the Bundesliga trophy.

These are the odds for next season champion in the Bundesliga. You see how much Bayern Munich are favoured anyway.  Smiley  Is it surprising though? I think it isn't. Because just because Leverkusen became champions by being very dominant one time, bookmakers can't favour them all of a sudden. Bayern Munich are still far ahead of any other team in general. However we will see how Xabi Alonso will answer that this time. 3.50 are nice odds to make use of. But not useful as long as betting a small amount on it. Honestly I don't want to think of placing any outrights bet before watching some performances.

The bookmakers are always going to favour Bayern Munich just as they'll favour Manchester city in the premier league to win the title. Bayern Munich has been a dominate club for so long that it is going to be impossible to overlook them of winning the season. For my opinion, the only thing that can make them to not win is their coach but it Vincent Kompany uses his sense very well. He will be capable of winnings the title. He has the players and the money to buy who he wants. The board members are backing him and everything might just work out very fine for him if he doesn't get buried in the pressure that come to win the title.
However, the bookies will still be alert to the possibility that will return and here Bayern Munich certainly will not remain silent after their seasonal title was won by Leverkusen last season. I think with odds that small it is still worth betting on but I also doubt whether Bayern Munich can break Leverkusen's dominance since last season which has been tireless in not suffering a single defeat.

One thing is for sure, all circumstances will change if one of these teams is unlucky and there are many factors that can influence it. It could be that Vincent Kompany is starting to be able to read Xabi Alonso's game and that will be an unexpected loss for Leverkusen later. On the other hand, if Bayern Munich has no way to stop Leverkusen then it is certain that Xabi Alonso will bring his team to back to back Bundesliga. So from me, I prefer to bet on Leverkusen once again and even with odds that much it will be very fun.

Whatever the result of a friendly match will not show the true performance of a team. But the trial match will be a good experience and record for the coach in implementing effective tactics. As I said before that in a friendly match the core players will not be played fully.
Indeed, we should ignore the results of preseason matches and even if we want to make an analysis, so we better see from how they play or the strategies they use and also the players they send down. If we only look at the results of the match, then it is not right, because during a match like this they do not talk about the results but rather to see from the process. If they are concerned with the final results then it is not good, because they will do everything possible and it is at risk for players.

Not felt after we are at the end of the season and watching the last match last season, now we are now in a phase where all clubs make preparations including doing preseason matches. I can't wait to wait for the new season to come, I want to see a match every week and also make a bet in several bands on every week.

Bayern Munich now have a problem, it will be competitive enough to make the ones serious. Bayer Leverkusen greased the entire competitive race for them to be smooth and free up from the shackles of defeats. That's exactly what a good coach brings to the table, he knows when to divert and go in search of new formation for his team. Always play major role as the front-runner of the club, Xabi Alonso deserves all the accolades he could possibly lay hands on them.
What Xabi Alonso has done at Bayer Leverkusen deserves awards and praises as he is able to change a team that used to be unable to win into a team that won in a full season. And that will continue to be done by Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen next season so that it may remain a serious problem for Bayern Munich next season which will be handled by their new coach and targeting better results too. However, I am still more confident for Leverkusen than Munich next season because considering Leverkusen is still coached by Xabi Alonso and there are still some old players in the Leverkusen squad itself.
Leverkusen will be a strong competitor for Bayern Munich like last season because Xabi Alonso is still the coach of the club and there is no doubt about his coaching system, but we also don't know what Vincent Kompany will do to his club whether it will be better or worse but I also favor Leverkusen over Bayern Munich because I know the Bayern Munich coach does not have good experience so in other words I doubt it I'm just trying to be realistic but if my doubts are wrong I'm also quite happy if in the end Bayern Munich can return to its best version.

I know that Leicester and it is similar to what happened to Napoli in the Serie A league last season, I really consider this and also look at them, but the Odss difference is very far where Bayer Munich gets 1.49 and Bayer Leverkusen 3.50, a very far difference, even though we know that Bayer Leverkusen yesterday won and has an extraordinary history until the end of the season, is the bookmaker not in a hurry to determine the odds that have a very far difference?

I am very curious, what is the basis or what factors make a team get a much greater probability in a match that has not yet started.
Sometimes it happens that teams can become champions but the next season they can't repeat the same thing, often it happens because teams sell their players, but Alonso was able to keep all the players and was even active in the transfer market, which gives hope that Bayer will be just as strong. Such low odds on Bayern can be because they rarely have bad seasons and mostly dominate the Bundesliga.

I don't think Kompany will want to leave the dealing of Tottenham to small boys and may want to use some of his big boys, although not all of them to avoid the issue of missing them to injury. I'd agree with you that many criticized Bayern Munich's choices when they went for Vincent considering he wasn't able to help his team to success in the Premier league and felt it's a big step down from what they're used to having but the Belgian is steadily proving that he's still got what it takes to be a good coach, provided he's supplied with the necessary players.
Tottenham will be going into this game with great preparation being that they are faced with a very stubborn German side who have got two of their ex players and knowing how ruthless Bayern can be in friendlies, won't want to be caught off guard.

Most of us in this forum criticized Kompany for not having experience managing a big club like Bayern Munich, but he has proven us wrong in the last two friendly games they have played, winning their first and drawing their last against Düren. However, many people believe that Kompany will be Bayern Munich's worst coach, but I believe it is too early to conclude that just because he failed at his former Premier League team does not guarantee that he will achieve the same results at Bayern Munich, this is the best team in the German league, and they are providing Kompany with the necessary players, so how can we doubt his ability to succeed next season? I believe Kompany will be successful next season with the talented players provided for him.

Furthermore, Kompany should not leave their next game for all of the small players, Tottenham used the majority of their top players in their last game, and I believe they will play against Bayern Munich with their top players; Kompany should use average players to avoid injury, as Manchester United's four players were injured before the season even began. It will be better for Kompany not to involve all of his best players against Tottenham since next season would be very challenging for him.

What makes Alonso a great coach is that he managed to turn a mediocre team like Leverkusen into one of the best teams in Europe and even almost made history as the only team to achieve the invincible treble. I am not sure Munich will return to their best form. They just hired a new coach and will need at least one or two seasons to adapt. But on the other hand I think Leverkusen cannot just play with the same players as last season. The defeat to Atalanta exposed their weaknesses. Leverkusen players do not have good individual skills so high pressure on players will put them in difficult situations.

While I do agree that Xabi and Leverusen trying one more time means that they have a chance, lets not give them a high chance just because they won it last year. We have seen many smaller teams do amazing for one season and then suck another season, so we could totally see them not do that well this year. I understand that it will hurt all of their stock value, but they may still end up not being that great.

These are the odds for next season champion in the Bundesliga. You see how much Bayern Munich are favoured anyway.  Smiley  Is it surprising though? I think it isn't. The bookmakers are underestimating Bayer Leverkusen with odds like that in my opinion, yes although I also know not a few teams that in the first season experienced a very significant increase then experienced a significant decline also in the next season after getting the best position like Napoli, but I don't think the bookmakers are very confident with kompany can beat Xabi Alonso easily.

I think in this match it is better to bet on Bayer Leverkusen, the structure in Bayer Leverkusen has not changed and Xabi is still focused on his goals, we cannot look down on him just because of such simple speculation.
I don't really think that betting companies are underestimating Bayer Leverkusen with their odds. Leverkusen have only won it once in a very long period of time, and it's very possible that they won't win it next season. We've seen teams that have won different leagues and competitions. Let's just take Leicester City, for example. If we haven't forgotten, in the 2015/2016 season, Leicester won the Premier League. But since then, have they tried to win it again? No.So, if we consider the favorite to win the Bundesliga, it's Bayern Munich. They have been winning it for several seasons, except for last season when they weren't able to win it. That doesn't mean they don't have higher chances of winning it than Leverkusen. Despite Bayer Leverkusen winning the Bundesliga last season, they still don't have the quality players like Bayern Munich.

So, if we consider some factors to determine the team likely to win next season's Bundesliga, the odds given to Leverkusen are not because betting companies are underestimating them. I'm not saying they can't win it, but the truth is that they are not favorites to win it like Bayern Munich.

This will be one of the last friendlies before the start of the season, so it would be appropriate to look at the game of the main players, but perhaps there is no point in this since they will almost certainly be in the main team anyway, so they can be given some time to play, and I think Kompany will pay the main attention either to the newcomers of the team, or to the players on the bench, perhaps one of them will be able to show readiness to play. I don't know if Tottenham can be more prepared for this match, most likely the teams are at about the same level for now.
They continue to prepare, one of which is by playing friendly matches. Their main focus remains to see how well they prepare, including seeing how the players can implement instructions from a coach. After the match they will have notes on what they need to improve and so on. Regarding the players who will be fielded in a match like this, usually when they use their main players they will still make changes and usually all the players will be replaced. Because the coach wants to measure the depth of their squad, so this is one way for them to see whether they are fully prepared or not. Saying fully prepared might be difficult, because there will definitely be something they need to fix or improve.

You are right. Also, Kompany could consider risking them since most of his big guns were absent in the 14-1 mauling of a ninth division Rottach- Ergen and if you ask me, I'd also say there was no point using them but in the game against Tottenham? Kompany will want to impress the management and show them that it wasn't a mistake to bring him on board as coach of the team and will try to pull out all the stops to ensure victory.
Ange Postecoglu is well versed in tactical play and it will be a matter of finishing what they started when Vincent was in the EPL and hence the game's going to be tough as expected.
True, teams will try to make sure their players get less injuries as much as possible being that the season will soon be underway and I believe this can be properly averted if the load is not resting on one person like in the case of Rasmus Hojlund at Man UTD.

Even if Kompany uses key players in his squad for this match, he is unlikely to include key players in the starting XI. In the second half, he may bring experienced players on the field as substitutes. But if Bayern Munich's youngsters can perform well, perhaps Kompany will rest key players in his squad for this match.

However, the match is important for Kompany. Because we all criticized the Munich management for giving an experienced man the job of coach of a big team like Munich. Kompany is not experienced. Moreover, it cannot be said that his coaching career is good. Even so, the Munich management remains confident in the KOmpany. KOmpany will try to prove his ability in the match against Tottenham.

If Kompany feels very important in this match then Bayern Munich will play with their main squad in this match. However, as a result, Bayern Munich players are likely to get injured. We have seen a few days ago that Manchester United's main striker Hojlund is facing an injury. These friendly matches are very risky unless the players perform very carefully. Now it remains to be seen if Kompany keeps the key players in his squad in the starting XI for this match.

The Tottenham team is in good form. But Tottenham's defense is a bit weak now. Tottenham played against Korea League Stars in last friendly match. Tottenham won this match by 3-4. Min Son scored two goals in this match. Tottenham will likely play with their main squad against Bayern.

I would say that Bayern Munich will not play in this match aiming to win against Tottenham. Vincent Kompany will try to test his squad's ability in this match. At the same time he will experiment with his match strategy. Kompany is not an experienced enough coach. So it will be challenging for Kompany to keep the performance of this Munich squad stable.
I think Kompany will keep his core players but will not play the full match. The friendly match against Tottenham will be a real challenge for Kompany. If Kompany only plays bench players or young players then he will not be able to evaluate the tactics that he will apply. This will make things more difficult when the competition starts. I think every team that has a new coach will use pre-season games as an evaluation material, and some teams with a solid squad will play pre-season games as an experience for their bench players or young players.

Even if Kompany uses key players in his squad for this match, he is unlikely to include key players in the starting XI. However, I am still more confident for Leverkusen than Munich next season because considering Leverkusen is still coached by Xabi Alonso and there are still some old players in the Leverkusen squad itself.
Next season is the test season for Xabi to start, if previously they were only considered as dark horses because they could only penetrate the Europa League zone but last season was different because they finished straight away and stopped Bayern's dominance in the Bundesliga which indirectly for the coming season the pressure for Leverkusen will be very large.
I think this is worth noting by Xabi because in any case for now the pressure and expectations for Leverkusen are increasing especially since their status is the defending champion so this is the real test for Leverkusen because they have to give their best as a counterbalance to them in the previous 2 seasons.

What Xabi did was also quite good because apart from Aleix Garcia who was indeed prioritized in the midfield, it seems that the defenders and striker positions were also updated because the rotation of players due to the tight schedule next season could be disruptive so they immediately brought in 2 Rennes players, Martin Terrier and Jeanuël Belocian as reinforcements for the attack line and defense line.

Normally Leverkusen still been coached by xabi will be a good reason for people to think Leverkusen is going to continually remain untouchable but the fact remains that they are not going to find it as easy as they did last season and if only others like Bayern Munich is determined, they can be able to be a challenge to Leverkusen such that they can even get to the point where they took can have a chance with any of the trophies they will be hoping to win as they couldn't get any trophy last season.
Since Leverkusen is still under Xabi Alonso management and most key players remain in Leverkusen squad, it is very reasonable if people believe Leverkusen will dominate again Bundesliga. Even if I'm not sure if Leverkusen can defend their unbeaten record, Leverkusen should have high chance to win again the trophy. I know Bayern Munich, Dortmund, and Stuttgart can be serious competitors for Leverkusen but they seem quite struggling and aren't likely strong enough to dominate Bundesliga. Especially for Bayern Munich, people are very doubtful with the new coach, Kompany.

I personally will bet for Leverkusen again. Leverkusen is a strong candidate, they will be more mature in the next season. I believe Xabi has got some lessons from the mistakes in the last season. Xabi must change his tactics, he won't repeat to let the opponents to score first. I guess Leverkusen will play with more offensive players on the lineup and they will try to score earlier. It is a mistake to conceded goals first, this tactic didn't work well when they played against Atalanta in the final of Europa league.

Finally, Dortmund decided to improve the team by hiring a player and this time they hired Pascal Groß the player of Germany's national team who can help Dortmund a lot based on the past performance we saw from this German player. Groß is a 33-year-old player who played for Brighton for seven years but after years of playing there, now he wants to leave the team and start playing for Dortmund.
Groß played in 261 games for Brighton.

Xabi Alonso is perfect, he formulates the game pattern of the club, they won important titles. Bayer Leverkusen can solved themselves out for next season, facing challenges but absolutely nothing to worry about because the constant breathing of competitive races comes from their close oppositions, we're looking at Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Borrusia Dortmund. These teams serves as headaches for Bayer Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso elevated the standard form of Bayer Leverkusen previous season and they're categorized into the best clubs in Bundesliga.
