Predicting preseason matches is actually very funny. Because everyone knows that this match cannot be predicted and can only be used to gain momentary benefits. But for me, Bayern Munich and this popular team from the EPL should be able to score more than 1 in the first half. The reason is quite clear because both teams have good reputations in their respective leagues and of course this preseason match is not something serious but just wants to see their respective strengths to perform optimally.

Judging from the appearance of both teams in previous preseason matches, it is not too bad, because Bayern Munich has never lost in a preseason match and Spurs have never lost in a preseason match. Well, hopefully I will be lucky with my predictions.

Well when you have this kind of data things can be very good, of course, I understand what you say and this can really be quite good when it comes to making money, it really is very good data to make some money, I generally have a different thought About the preseason, because for me they are options that the coaches have to look for strategies, formations, see how the bench players respond in an official match and which players can become starters , for me it is a win-win for the coaches.

Football friendlies: tired Tottenham beaten by Bayern Munich in Seoul

Quote
Tottenham were beaten 2-1 by Bayern Munich in a sold-out friendly in Seoul, suffering their first defeat of pre-season.

Having enjoyed victories over Hearts, QPR, Vissel Kobe and a K-League XI so far in July, Ange Postecoglou’s side came unstuck against Bayern in front of 70,000 fans. Gabriel Vidovic and Leon Goretzka were on target for the German giants, with Pedro Porro’s long-range strike no more than a consolation for Spurs.

Vincent Kompany’s Bayern side did not feature Harry Kane – who is still resting after England’s run to the Euro 2024 final – but started on the front foot, going close through Serge Gnabry before Vidovic pounced on a mistake by Spurs keeper Guglielmo Vicario to open the scoring after just four minutes.

Bayern Munich decision to appoint Kompany as head coach seems like they are digging a well for themselves, the decision was truly unexpected because Kompany is not a competent coach. The rejection of Julian Nagelsmann, Xabi Alonso and Ralf Rangnick does not mean that other coaches are not available, in fact there are other coaches who are better and who are still unemployed at this time.
Bayern Munich have already fired Tuchel, so there is no way they can swallow their own spit. However, compared to Kompany, Tuchel is more worthy of handling Bayern Munich. Now we can only wait and see how the results will be, whether Kompany is able to make Bayern Munich win the Bundesliga again or whether it will be worse than the Tuchel era.
A team like Bayern Munich can play well even if they are not accompanied by their main coach. They have many quality players ready to compete with anyone, but a coach with good technical ability can push for more options when the team needs a solution. Vincent Kompany is certainly not a great coach, but he has something that can make Bayern Munich strong next season.

It's true that there are a lot of doubts about Vincent Kompany being appointed as the new coach of Bayern Munich, but I think the best thing for now is to give him time and the opportunity to prove himself. I'm also not too sure about Kompany, but I don't completely underestimate Bayern Munich in his hands.

If we remember in the previous season, Bayern Munich was handled by a coach with a big name, namely Thomas Tuchel. but he was unable to provide any titles, even though Bayern entered the quarter-finals of the Champions League. which means, even though Bayern is handled by a great and experienced coach, it is not certain that they will always be able to maintain their dominance in the Bundesliga. at least Bayern has struggled in the Bundesliga for two seasons, they almost failed to defend their title if Dortmund had won at that time in the last match. and last season, Leverkusen was able to break Bayern Munich's dominance. so, there is no guarantee that even though Munich is handled by a coach with an impressive record, they will maintain their dominance. on the contrary, especially with a coach who is not so experienced. Bayern Munich's performance to dominate the Bundesliga again is questionable, even many doubt that Vincent Kompany will bring Bayern to the top of the standings. it's natural, but in fact Bayern's top brass have appointed this young manager to handle The Bavarian. I don't know what the club is planning, what I know is that since Nagelsmann's dismissal Bayern has declined. well, let's wait and see Bayern Munich's performance in the real campaign. besides, aren't we waiting for the Bundesliga moments to be more competitive in the trophy race. we often discuss that the Bundesliga is always dominated by Bayern Munich, and last season its dominance was broken. in the season that will soon be held, there are many who do not have confidence in Munich under Vincent Kompany. isn't this more exciting, which means it will present a much more competitive season. so, let's enjoy it.

Well, from now on we should not ignore Vincent Kompany and what he has done so far with Bayern Munich in the pre-season games has been fun. Smiley

Bayern Munich are currently two goals ahead of Spurs and hopefully this advantage will last until the end of the game. I am starting to enjoy watching the game developed by Vincent Kompany and keep in mind Spurs are not an easy opponent to face under coach Ange.

I want to see Bayern Munich prove that they deserve to be able to win the title again and one thing they can do is win in the pre-season games as an initial test. We may initially think Bayern Munich are stupid for choosing Vincent Kompany as their new coach but slowly that assumption will disappear if he can provide something consistent.

In my opinion, Kompany is still too young a coach to take charge of a team like Bayern. I think he doesn't have enough experience, Bayern is one of the biggest teams in the world and last season disappointed a lot of people. To be successful this year, the team needs to get used to each other. Kompany is now a part of this team, if he stays in this team for many years, maybe they can be successful. They need to be given a chance, maybe they can be a team that plays very well

One season is long, and not all teams are able to consistently maintain good results for a full season. Thus, if they only get good results in pre-season matches, I don't think it can guarantee that the team will also get good results in the new season later. Indeed, we also hope that Kompany will be able to make Bayern Munich dominate the Bundesliga again, but still, dominating the league will not be easy at all, even though they are successful in pre-season matches at this moment.

Thus, I personally still can't expect much from Kompany and Bayern Munich, because to get a trophy requires results with lots of wins in every match throughout the season. After all, we also still admit that Kompany still doesn't have much experience in his coaching career then with that reason, at least doubts will still remain.
I doubt if Kompany will do very much better than Thomas Tuchel in this his first season, because when it comes to experiences, Tuchel is way far more than Kompany in their managerial career, Therefore, thinking that Kompany would this first season do magic with the Bayern team is something that I don't believe it will be easy for him to do, when having Bayern Leverkusen and Alonso as their manager to competewith, but I more of think that they would have a fair season play in the end than dominate the season with trophies.

Vincent Kompany moving to Bayern Munich is a ballsy move, no doubt about it. After their top picks bailed, they went for Kompany. Kompany's stepping into some massive shoes left by Tuchel. That's the reality. But if there's one thing we know about Kompany, it's that he doesn't back down from a challenge. The guy's got a fighter's mentality, and that could be exactly what Bayern needs right now

Leverkusen has been nipping at Bayern's heels for a while now. Kompany's got to not just keep them at bay but create a wider gap. The Champions League schedule is gonna be brutal, and that could give Bayern an edge if Kompany plays his cards right. I'm not gonna lie. A lot of us, myself included, have our doubts about this whole thing. But that's what makes it interesting, right? If Kompany can translate his on-field brilliance into his managerial style, Bayern might just pull off a major upset
They first wanted Xabi, but Xabi decided to stay at Leverkusen, I feel like one more season there will make Xabi wanted even more, and he could ask for a lot more money and could go for a huge team. But so far we need to see how this battle will happen this season. Will Xabi have a much worse season? Fail to win the league back to back? Will Kompany shock the world? Or will Kompany be fired at the end of the season when Xabi lifts the trophy again? None of that is known right now.

Bundesliga has been dominated by Bayern so much that, even after last season being a disappointment and even after Kompany decision made it doubtful for them to win, we could still see how Bayern Munich could win, because they are normally that good. I understand that Leverkusen had a historical season, something we may never see again, and because of that I think it's obvious that we are going to see them try for the title again, but there is no guarantee that they will get the same result. This is why I think it's quite obvious that we are going to have some trouble. I may consider the situation to be very unknown, I wouldn't be able to bet on this season at all, it's totally up for grabs and unpredictable to me.

Yeah that's right, last season who would have thought that Leverkusen would dominate the Bundesliga with a perfect unbeaten record even Bayern Munich had to be kicked out of second place well, for next season, we don't know whether there will be another team that has a perfect record like Leverkusen. I know Bayern Munich have spent 145 million in this transfer window but there is no guarantee they can get perfect results or win the title because now there is a great competitor like Leverkusen.

So far, Leverkusen have spent 53 million in the transfer window for 3 players this means that Leverkusen are still trying to make improvements even though they had a good record last season. Honestly I can't wait to see the intense competition between these 2 teams, or maybe Stuttgart will make a new surprise?

Why not wait to see how the season goes for Bayern Munich and Kompany before we start to criticise their choice of signing Kompany and see him as a coach that is not competent of handling the team? I don’t see any reason to be judgemental here, the club knows what he will cost them if they sign a coach not befitting of managing the club well and they still went to sign Kompany, so I will give them a benefit of doubt and trust their choice because they wouldn’t have done it blindly without a cogent reason to it. Kompany may not have had that experience and this will be his first time managing a big team but that doesn’t mean his first time cannot be the best in his managerial career. I will still trust his coaching and reserve any negative comments on him until when proven as the season starts. Kompany may be the best manger next season and bring Bayern Munich’s hope back, there’s nothing wrong about that as it can happen to anyone that deserves it throughout hard work and dedication.

Bayern Munich received three rejections from three different managers, which is why they appointed Kompany as Tuchel successor next season. At first glance, rather than appointing Kompany, Bayern Munich would actually be better off retaining Tuchel, because in many ways Tuchel is much better. However, everything has been agreed, and we have to wait for the season to roll first to assess how Kompany performs in his first season. Kompany fate actually depends on how consistent Bayern Munich performs next season, especially in the hunt for the Bundesliga trophy with Leverkusen. To be fair, we should give Kompany time to prove his quality, even though we realize that the competition will be more competitive in the future. Meanwhile, the tight Champions League match schedule seems to make it difficult for Bayern Munich main competitors in the Bundesliga to appear balanced, this can be utilized well by Kompany.

No one can tell currently if Bayern will be better than last season or become worst because we have not seen Kompany with his new team and how he is able to coordinate and manage the players to bring out their best performance on the pitch. From Kompany's level of club that he is coaching it might be that Bayern Munich will be too big for him to manage and give them their heart desires.

I think next season will tell and it will be a mess for Bayern if performs worst the Tuchel because what I understand about a strong club that has lost its strength is to bring a bigger an experienced coach that the former one and not bringing a coach that nobody knows his capacity on how to manage the team.

I will not make conclusion about Vincent Kompany too quick. I want to see what he can do when the Bundesliga League Competition kicks off then I can say my opinion. He did well winning the Championship with Burnley but didn't do so well when promoted to the Premier League Competition. I'm not ruling him off no doubts but he'll have to show working. I don't think it's wise to use the Pre-season to judge a new coach. Well, we'll see!!

Has anyone followed up with Nicklas Füllkrug? Has he finally made the move fully to West Ham United? I knew that with the arrival of Serhou Guirassy there'll be provision for one player to leave so they can have enough game time. He has done well for Borrussia Dortmund and I saw him during the Euros. He has whatever it takes to perform at a top level for West Ham United if he makes the switch.

The arrival of Serhou Guirassy also should be massive. Only Harry Kane scored more than him last season and the combined goals from Borrussia Dortmund strikers wasn't enough to level the numbers he had last season. Great season ahead!

The match has been going on for 75 minutes and Bayern Munich is still ahead of Tottenham even though Tottenham recently scored 1 goal but I think this time Bayern Munich will win the match by a narrow score or maybe it will end in a draw. I see Bayern Munich's formation without Harry Kane Bayern Munich's attack is also still strong against the Premier League club Tottenham, the opposing club seems using their main players while Bayern Munich chooses to use reserve players, Vincent Kompany is quite good at using strategies so that his main players maintain their stamina I hope Bayern Munich wins this match.
The match ended 2-1 in favor of the German giants Bayern Munich; this match to me is the first test for Vincent Kompany, because I think it is the first big game he has managed so get since he joined the team, and his performance and patterns of play show that he can handle pressure which is one of the main criteria needed by a manager.

Tottenham played very well, Ange Postecoglou displayed all his first team players because he wanted to win the match, the players tried their best but unfortunately, Bayern scored early which was the advantage they had in the game and they doubled their lead before Tottenham could respond.
It is indeed a wonderful performance from them, and I think they can now also be proud of their team because playing against Bayern is not easy.

There are two teams that have made decision I do not understand are Liverpool and Bayern Munic. Their choices of coach is what many think are surprising and below expectations considering that they both finished poorly last season and by right, needed to remain ready to change the situation this season. They coaches they hired might seem not perfect for that though but I think it is too early to judge them because the season is not even started yet. The management of both teams might be seeing something we all are not seeing so lets see what the coaches are bringing on board.
Isn't it too soon for us to judge whether or not Kompany is worthy of coaching Bayern Munich next season, currently we underestimate Kompany as a coach and I think his failure to defend Burnley last season in the English league is certainly the reason we say kompany incompetent in coach Bayern Munich, but have we ever thought that a team as big as Bayern Munich would not appoint and bet their club's future on a coach without doing in-depth consideration and evaluation? Previously, Munich received a lot of rejection from experienced coaches, but considering the number of coaches who were unemployed last season, it actually wouldn't be difficult for Bayern Munich to recruit experienced coaches if their want, but there are reasons that their not do it and prefer Kompany as coach, I think not  appropriate for us to underestimate Kompany which coaching munich now although he doesn't have much experience in coaching big teams in career,  Alonso, Arteta and also Xavi, aren't their no different from Kompany which didn't have much experience in coaching before?

In football, sometimes we have to insert a little hope, because in football anything can happen. Although Xabi Alanso was successful in Leverkusen, it is not certain that this season he can repeat it like last season. Bayern Munich has a good squad, and Kompany cannot be said to be successful as a coach, but when he coaches Burnley and Bayern Munich, of course it will be different, especially in terms of player material. Bayern Munich players are no longer in doubt. So I don't want to underestimate Kompany, Bayern Munich must still be taken seriously by Xabi Alanso in the fight for the Bundesliga title this season.
I also quite agree to say that Bayern Munich is a team that must be watched out for by every other team in the Bundesliga, including Bayer Leverkusen itself. Because besides it is not necessarily possible for Xabi Alanso to repeat what he did last season in the Bundesliga through Leverkusen, the Bayern Munich team itself can also change to be different next season even with a new coach. Because Kompany is only tasked with developing and polishing the players who are already experienced enough at Bayern Munich with more suitable tactics so that Munich will not be left behind again like last season.
What happened to Leverkusen last season is still considered a miracle in one season so many people are still very doubtful if Leverkusen achievements last season will be repeated next season, to be honest, I personally really agree with this assessment because it is based on previous experience we can see that the surprise of a team only occurs for one season, but the next seasons the team experiences a downturn, we also cannot guarantee that Leverkusen will be able to maintain last season performance next season, because Leverkusen success last season cannot be separated from the decline in Munich performance and Dortmund in the league, Munich which is currently starting to improve their squad, of course we cannot underestimate if they will to dominate the Bundesliga again in next seasons.

It's not all a miracle but it was because of the good performance of Xabi Alonso in this team. In Leverkusen, they don't have superstar players like they have in Bayern Munich and some other teams but the result they got was much better than Bayern Munich and this team having good players was not the reason for Leverkusen to win these games and the title of Bundesliga.
They are nothing without their coach Xabi Alonso and one big reason for Leverkusen to get good results was having Xabi Alonso in this team and that's why they were trying hard to extend the contract of this coach.

Bayern fans expect their team to regain the championship title this season, I would also like it to happen, but I have doubts because of their choice of a new coach, because Kompany's achievements are not so impressive. Of course, not every team can achieve great results and apparently the management of Bayern emphasized this. Alonso at Bayer also got a chance once, but this does not mean that every young coach can repeat Alonso's achievement, and by the way, Bayer kept all the important players and it is obvious that they will also try to become champions again.
Bayern Munich is an extraordinary club with many achievements under its belt, so it is only natural that its fans expect the club to win another trophy soon. So far, Bayern Munich has always been led by great coaches with various achievements, but this time they made a very surprising decision because Kompany is not a top coach and also failed to keep Burnley in the EPL. Kompany is clearly not the right choice for Bayern Munich, a big team with a lot of achievements, but Munich's failure last season with Tuchel could determine the quality of Kompany work in his first season.

The opportunity that Leverkusen gave to Xabi Alonso cannot be compared to Kompany, Alonso got the opportunity in a lower team than Bayern Munich and at that time Leverkusen was in a slump and the team handled by Xabi Alonso also did not achieve as much as Bayern Munich. The burden of his work will certainly be different, Xabi Alonso is not really under pressure to win a title because at that time Leverkusen was in the middle of the standings, while Bayern Munich who always dominates the Bundesliga will certainly demand Kompany to win a trophy again after failing to win any trophies last season.

Yeah, I agree with you cause most coaches use the pre-season as an opportunity to select their best eleven against a new season and also access the form and level of performance of younger talents, to know those that would be included in the squad, those that would be loaned out and those who's time is up in the team.
Not all the time that coaches necessarily get their best eleven from pre season performance and that explains why some teams aren't playing with their complete squad in the preseason games, rather like you did later mentioned it's for younger talents mostly to further confirm their abilities and how well they can fit in to the squad and importantly they coach uses the opportunity to test and fine tune their strategies as they prepare for the season to kick off. This isn't found in the bundesliga alone, other leagues do have their coaches doing this too most of the time.
Maybe something bad could happen if you dont play your starting eleven enough in the summer.

While its important to keep star players from getting hurt and check out new players, we cant forget how important it is to build teamwork on the field. It is important to include new players in real games with the main team. Players who are important to the team could become less effective if they arent used much.

You might also be too cautious to think that teachers are only trying to keep players from getting hurt. You need to play football games to really be ready for a game. Making sure your players are safe while also getting them ready for the season is important. That could hold back players and the team as a whole, especially before the season starts, if some coaches are too cautious.

I don't understand why we think Bayern's decision to sign Kompany was wrong simply because he was a new coach with little experience. Even though we have also never seen how Komapny's performance will be shown later.

Precisely with what is shown at this time I think we should try to believe that Kompany is an answer but we are too assume he failed when he has not even shown because the season has not yet begun.
We've failed Kompany so early on that it makes it seem as if he's a bad coach when he still hasn't shown his capacity at Bayern until now and we have to give Kompany time to show his performance before we judge Kompany for the performance he shows later.
