According to Goal.com, Chelsea have been linked with Bayern Munich's top striker Robert Lewandowski but the chairman says that he won't be leaving. And he added that he will be playing for 2 more years at Bayern. I think this should be enough for Chelsea to step back.

Bayern Munich lost there friendly match against Gladbach again and i just have seen the review on that match.
Is it new for friendly games that you can change 10 players in the halftime or at some stage ?
Bayern Munich played again without many players from the main team and they playing the next match against Neapel.
Dont know what i should think about that friendly match.
I wonder what the odds were ... almost the same situation is with the match "Hertha Berlin v Liverpool", 20th minute and Liverpool is already losing unilaterally. Of course, friendlies differ from tournament games, the problem is that different clubs treat such games differently. For weaker clubs, this is a kind of chance to declare their ambitions, that's why these clubs play at full strength with the maximum played line-up ... correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the information.

Lot of things are changed since the pandemic, in society and in football. I don't know any change in friendly match but I think it is possible.

If matches in big tournament as Euro allows to have max to five substitutions, friendly match can allow more than 5 substitutions, so 10 as you said is reasonable.

Personally, I don't see big problems with quota of substitutions in friendly matches. They are for training so why so serious? I don't think it is necessary to be serious with friendly matches.

Chelsea started to do serius shopping in Germany, first Werner and Havertz and now Haaland Smiley
Because Bundesliga is great league for young players. Chelsea in recent years try to invest into young players and they want to buy players who can contribute for the club in 10 years.

Roman Abramovich's funds are unlimited.
He is rich but his budget for Chelsea transfer can be limited. It can be limited because of sudden changes in business of Roman Abramovich or it can be limited because of Premier League and local laws. He did not visit the Stamford Bridge stadium last 2 years. It can be limited when Abramovich lost his interests in football and Chelsea.

Quote
Surely he dared to sign because he has a lot of potential, is young and has proven with Dortmund. I heard that Chelsea are also eyeing Lewandowski to replace Haaland.
With their strategy aims at young players, I think their priority is Haaland. Lewandowsky will cost them lot of budget for his salary and they won't be able to use Lewy for too long.

Quote
In addition, they need a center forward to support Timo Werner and Kai Havertz has not performed optimally. But some news explains that the two players' clubs did not give permission to leave.
With Haaland, Chelsea will have a good striker and Werner can be used in left or right wing. He won't have pressure to score goals for Chelsea and with his good pace, he can be helpful for Tuchel.

Haaland seems to be shocked by the news that Chelsea are preparing to offer €175m for him. He thinks that it's really too much money for one person and he hopes that it's just a rumour.

It could be a rumour too but I'm very sure that Chelsea are going to offer a great sum to be able to sign Haaland.
The inflation of player transfer since the appearance of Manchester City and PSG change the football market. If we look at it with another view, we will see its relation to the hyperinflation of fiat currency.

Rich clubs are responsible for hyper inflated transfer price on the market but governments have their responsibility as well.

10 years ago, talented players like Haaland did not have such hundreds of million dollars like this year. If the transfer completes, it brings a new chance, challenge together with big pressure to Haaland. I hope he will keep up his growth after nay big transfer to Chelsea or any club.

That is enormous amount of money, especially in these covid times. He is great player but that kind of money is just too much when you are unsure if you will be able to at least have a full stadium on home games. Despite Chelsea having the money to buy halland, i don't think Chelsea eill splash the cash on halland, taking a good look at how things is playing,i dont think they'll sign him from Dortmund.this season.
Putting pressure on Werner to give he's best this season, once he starts scoring goals the movement for halland will drastically be of no use.

I think it is a rumour that Chelsea wants to spend such price for one person but Dortmund fixing that price to chase other clubs from offering a lower price is true.
Haaland came from RBS for ~€20m which means in case they sold him for €175m = 875% profit, better than gambling Tongue

This is really bad then, because they don't consider the feelings of their fans.Letting their star player go every season will be so annoying to those that don't understand that it's a business they have been doing for years now,and it is the reasons why they hardly win anything in the league..

could be bad, but their is also a fact that Bayern is too strong to beat, and Dortmund is always within top3 teams, with third team that accompanying Bayern and Dortmund constantly changing, since they are trying to beat Bayern, and could fight for year or two, but than eventually slide down to other half of the table, or Second league, just look at top teams that were trying to buy players and beat Bayern, they are always down - Schalke, Wolfsburg (get one title in the process), Stuttgart (won one title, but now in Second league), Werder (won one title, but now in Second league)

and Dortmund won three titles in last 20 years, and they are always within top, so, good tactics when you have one pre-dominant team (Bayern)
there must be at least two or three top teams in the championship to compete. competition makes you stronger and allows you to fight for international cups. Look at England. They were able to create competition in the Premier League and this made English clubs dominant in the Champions League and in the Europa League. And now they have no financial problems, unlike other teams. and can now buy good players at low prices.

Premier League clubs are much richer than Bundesliga clubs. So there is more competition in the Premier League. There are many teams who are able to win the title. In the Bundesliga, on the other hand, every year we see the dominance of Bayern Munich. Bayern leads by more points than any other team.

Dortmund's goal was never to win the title. They perform well enough throughout the season but can't win the title. Their main goal is to make a star player every year and sell him at a very high price. This is their business and they have been doing this for a long time.
For sure there Goal is to win the title , but the problem is that they got no luck for it and played not at the best Level when they should .
Also there was a lot of players that was injured a bit at some stage , and that was there problem that they dont won games that would keep them into the race for the title.
There main goals are not to make or form star players , they only cant hold them when they are good becuase of the Big Clubs.

I guess the rate or speed at which they sell their best players is also what Dortmund doesn't like, but do they have any choice? If you get an offer over 150 million in total for Ousmane Dembele, what the hell are you going to do as a club that is financially healthy, but far from being healthy as Bayern Munich? You have to sell. Dortmund does an outstanding job in recruiting young players and turning them into world stars, but they just can't pay the 20 million that Bayern can pay per year or clubs like Barcelona or Madrid, Paris or City.

The problem they have is that now they lack confidence massively and have enormous self-doubts. If they can't manage to get the situation under control quickly, I bet they are getting into serious trouble even in the second league. Other teams realize Schalke can be beaten and that raises optimism for any opponent Schalke is going to face. Rough times ahead of Schalke.

I wouldn't think it's that bad after the first game. In the past, it has been shown that all traditional clubs that have been relegated from the first league have had problems in the first games of the first season. In addition, they had Hamburg as an opponent who is also one of the top favorites for promotion. It will now depend on the next games for Schalke against Kiel and Aue. Schalke has to win these, otherwise they can get into a downward spiral again.

To me, i see the Haaland situation as Dortmund refusing to sell up 2 core squad members in the same summer; it is not about the money involved, or the release clause in Haaland contract. It is about keeping the Dortmund squad competitive ahead of a new season.

On the other hand, the Player himself has shown no signs of wanting to leave, and ofcourse not to London. Dortmund would earn huge bucks from Haaland departure; either this summer or next summer
It is true that Haaland doesn't appear on rush to quit Dortmund as Mbappe on PSG but that doesn't mean that he wants to stay there until 2024 imo.
Dortmund is known to farm good players, I mean they pick future top players, make them stars then sell them and so on. They want to compete in European leagues, they want to have the Bundesliga title but they aren't spending a lot to do it.

After Brentford in England, Dortmund is another team that i cherish their business model; they run the club properly and competitively on or off the pitch; with set targets in place for every transfer window, as well as a tailored replacements for players too. MY predicition though is an Haaland move to Manchester United in the 2022 summer; while Mbappe gets his dream move to Real Madrid
Dortmund's business modus operandi is always very good but the rate at which they sell their best players every season is what I don't like.Every season Dortmund must sell their very best players to one of their biggest rival, which ends up affecting them. When these players leave, they always replace them well which is makes me think the club is really a business club.
