But since this thread is about predictions, let's get back to Bundesliga betting, guys. We got some very interesting games coming up on the 26. Matchday of the Bundesliga season. Actually we are starting with a huge clash in the Revier-Derby with Borussia Dortmund vs. Schalke 04. What are your predictions? Do you think Dortmund, Bayern or Leipzig will struggle after the huge break? The whole match schedule of the weekend looks like this:

do not think that Borussia and Leipzig could keep up with Bayern until the end of the season, Bayern will took the title, Borussia will probably finish second, and Leipzig will finish third IMO, if Leverkusen does not make the series and took them over, will be very interesting on Monday in Bremen to see how pharmacists made it over Corona crisis, could they continue their good series, since Leipzig is only four points away

I still think that the advantage that bayer has is not so big enough to consider them as the future champions

Bayern has 55 points

Borussia has 51 points

RB Leipzig has 50 points

with that interruption, the pace of many teams must have been broken which will cause surprises in the next games

for me, more chances has Bayer Leverkusen than RB Leipzig to finish within top 3 teams, and Bayern is an institution, they will not gamble their title, with four points above Borussia, although they have tough schedule playing Dortmund and Leverkusen away and M'Gladbach home in this nine rounds
I'm still not sure each team will play to their maximum strength or the best squad because of some factors that might be something that makes them uncomfortable but however, the return of this match is something that is highly anticipated and of course with that too then at least they will still give their best to win the match and I personally am still very confident that Bayern Munich and Dortmund will remain in the first and second ranks until the end of the season.

@hahay Bundesliga is an unpredictable league and hence I don’t feel that Bayern can easily win the title, because Dortmund have Sancho and Halland playing for them, and these two alone can fire Dortmund to the top of the table. Furthermore I’m anticipating all the teams to play their best 11 on the pitch, but I’m keeping my expectations low about their performances as all the players will be playing after a lengthy break.

Testing the whole team and any team they played in the past weeks is a thing they have to do if one player turns out infected. But at the same time, I feel like there is not that many people who are infected anymore so there is testing going on which means maybe there are test kits available enough now that you could just use all the extra ones on the players constantly? That way you would basically be testing players constantly, which means if you learn that one player has corona, you would know if anyone else has corona at the same time as well?

Like you test 20 players all together, so if one of them has corona, the other 19 results will be decided already as well? So, I think that wouldn't really be a problem, you would constantly know if anyone has corona or not all at the same time.

Finally! In less than 24h, we're going to have some top-class european football action.

I'm gonna post my picks (singles) for tomorrow...I usually don't do this (make my picks a day before matchweek kicks off), i like to wait for lineups confirmed and stuff, but i have to deal with some stuff in the meatspace, so:

Leipzig vs Freiburg - O9.5 corners @1.70
Dortmund vs Shake - O3.5 cards  @1.44
Gladbach - X2 @1.46

Almost went with a 3 fold acca but decided to go with singles..will leave crazy 3 fold and 4 fold accas for next week. Man, this thread is too quiet, are you guys excited about the Bundesliga coming back or what?  Grin

Those are quite good picks, mate. Honestly if it's me I'd prefer to parlay them since the odds on two of them are below 1.50. Though I'll wait the confirmed lineups announced before take my picks, since I love to bet on the goal scorer category. Good luck for your bet!

I wouldn't really gamble for the time being, this is going to be the first games of the big football world coming back and I am not entirely sure if it will be really as big as we think they will be. I feel like everyone will be holding back a bit and no matter how much training they have done already, they couldn't be %100 without playing some games, there is this special shape you get into when you constantly play games.

I just hope everyone goes out of this healthy, not just getting corona because if everyone is healthy they can't suddenly get it, but also regular injuries as well. Players get injured constantly on regular time, now they have stopped for months suddenly and they haven't played for months, coming back could be very stressful for their bodies and I really hope everyone just stays healthy.

I'm just glad we get to see some football being played no matter if watching it from home. Lets just hope all goes well and we get to see the season finish and then get to see other leagues reopen and start playing again.

Are there any plans for the league if one player in one team is infected? How to solve such player and such team? All the team will go into quarantine mode (in 14 days) or only the group of players have close contact with the infected player will be quarantined?
Imo it's the entire team that'll be quarantined and tested, there is no way to pick out the exact players that had been in contact with the infected player, and teammates are usually always in physical contact with each other, so it's the whole team that should be quarantined. If that happens they'll have their games shifted(postponed)i think, and in case of this scenario the league would not finish at the time stipulated for it to due to postponed matches.
How will you watch the games? Will any of you watch the games in a pub?
Most pubs are still on lockdown, so I don't think many people would have this option available to them, and even if they did, I'll advice everyone to watch at home, it's usually most times more interesting to watch football where you meet other fans, but it's hard to maintain social distancing there, so for now, our homes would do.

So, 5 subs, huh? Top teams now have a massive advantage since they're the ones with bigger and better squad depth.
Yea that's a good point. Tbh I want to see RB Leipzig to win this season but with this new rule, it would favor Munich and Dortmund only as their whole squad are equally good and better than other Bundesliga teams.

- In case something happens (sudden stop of football activities), both leagues will continue beyond June 30th.
To finish the season with all their strength. Let's see if that works out.
But if they really play until July, the new season should be start later. Although? The teams will be in training and they have only played 9 days. So they could start again in August after a short break.

The DFL just released an annoucement about the Bundesliga and 2nd division.

Full article: https://www.dfl.de/de/aktuelles/dfl-mitgliederversammlung-bekraeftigt-laufende-saison-soll-zu-ende-gespielt-werden-falls-notwendig-im-juli/

TL;DR:
- 5 subs for each team in each game until the end of the season.
- There will be relegations this season.
- In case something happens (sudden stop of football activities), both leagues will continue beyond June 30th.

i am of the opinion that there should be no relegation or promotion if the season is interrupted - unless the two clubs have no chance calculative to stay in the 1. bundesliga

As it is decided that the league is going to start again we are going to see relegation as usual.
If there will be no relegation, teams with low dynamic will lose their interest in the games and in the whole season and they will focus on preparing a team for the next season which is not makes a lot of sense.

How will you watch the games? Will any of you watch the games in a pub?

I will be watching at home with a big bag of chips and having some tasty BBQ on Sunday. I doubt that many people will be able to watch the upcoming games in a pub or bar, since most countries are still on lockdown or bars and pubs haven't opened again yet. In addition to that, even if it would be cool to watch the games in a pub, I suggest everyone to stay at home and practise social distancing. We don't want a second wave, we don't want the league to be canceled again and especially we don't want more people dying.

Stay on your couch and watch the Bundesliga!  Smiley

Another option to watch the Games for free are the Live Stream from sky.  https://sport.sky.de/sky-sport-news-hd. Unfortunately the Conference only, but better than nothing.

How will you watch the games? Will any of you watch the games in a pub?

Lets see if we realy finish the German League as all expecting !
I have my thoughts about that this all goes so well till to the last match day .
But i looking forward to the coming weekend and how all teams are will playing , guess we will see some surprise maybe !
Dortmund should make it against Schalke , Leipzig will win and also Bayern , Frankfurt vs Gladbach is the only one i cant say.

If the whole team will be quarantined, that sucks the league for sure.

I think so too and I guess this will be the modus operandi in case of an early ending to the season. I would still promote the first two teams from 2. Bundesliga though and play next season with 20 teams.

As I mentioned earlier, this could give us some opportunities in the outright market betting. I checked some bookies and most don't have any or a lot of outright markets still up. Tipico has quite a lot of bets, the problem is, you can't really parlay them, which I would like to do to not have too high stakes. Nevertheless, there is one parlay that gives very good odds:

SC Freiburg under 40,5 league goals @8.50
Leipzig under 66,5 season points @2,90
Parlay @ 24,65

The T&C from Tipico are not very clear:

DFB are not DLF. You are right.

DLF is a radio station Cool
