Leave Bayern Leverkusen out of this discussion, they was just that extraordinary club that put into the game enough efforts to win this Competition this very season.
Like you've said, I don't see them performance as strong as what they had few seasons ago with Hansi Flick and Josep Pep Guardiola. They have a good number of players leaving, some people would still blame it on Harry Kane if they fail to win the Bundesliga League Competition next season lol.

They have players like Kingsley Coman, Sane, Jamal Musiala, Joshua Kimmich, and Alphonso Davies all linked out of the club when the transfer window begins.
With these names gone, if they don assemble the right players to replace them, they will definitely struggle more than they did this season. Right now they need a manager with killer instincts. Antonio Conte would also do great.
