The first goal from Xhaka is fantastic and can be a best goal in Xhaka's career. It opened the match for Leverkusen but later they let Mainz equalized the match and even faced with a second conceded goal by a mistake from their defenders.

Leverkusen luckily got a second goal by a bad save from Mainz's goalkeeper and got three points. Generally in this match Leverkusen did not create enough pressure on Mainz and did not have many opportunities to find goals.

After all challenges from Mainz, Leverkusen ended the match very well with a maximum 3 points and made a new record for German football with 33 unbeatable matches.

Despite Leverkusen's victory, I am still speechless about the beautiful goal scored by Xhaka in the opening minutes. The ball was so hard but also curved sharply that it went over the back of the Mainz goalkeeper and I think it was a very clever goal. However, after scoring the goal, I was shocked to see Xhaka feeling pain in his leg and celebrating with his teammates and even making everyone panic on the bench, in fact it was just a gimmick and I immediately laughed watching the celebration.

There is currently no team to compete with them in the Bundesliga, as Bayan Munich is still 11 points behind the only team that can compete in the points table.

Xabi Alonso was hell excited for the goal scored by Xhaka!

Alonso is actually cooking, his coaching pattern is very good and well recommendable for other teams because he is such an amazing and talented young manager that is here to change some narratives in football management system, he can do more of this from all indications.

He is one of the nominees to replace Klopp at Anfield and he will be a perfect replacement that can do more than what Klopp did because he started well and he is about to keep records in the Bundesliga.

The match is over and Leverkunsen managed to score a tough win today against Mainz. Currently Leverkusen has a difference of 11 points over Bayern Munich and this might make Leverkusen more comfortable at the top of the standings. Munich is suffering and seems to be failing in the Bundesliga this season, some say this is Kane's curse.

Bayern Munich will host Leipzig for the next match. Leipzig are in good form ahead of this important match, they are also very motivated to win after having 3 matches without defeat. This might be a tough test for Bayern Munich after suffering 2 consecutive defeats in the Bundesliga, but the probability of their victory is still very high.

I loved Xhaka's goal. I heard the commentator said it was his first ever Bundesliga goal and he scored and celebrated with style. For the second goal, the goalie was becoming too confident in his capabilities and that confidence failed him. I know he got very crucial saves for his team in both halves especially the first but he took his head out of the game for a bit and he was caught off guard by that Andrich strike.

Overall, it was a good game and I applaud Mainz for their strong performance today. Even with the red card, they still put the pressure on Leverkusen.

Now I can't wait for Xabi Alonso to take over from Klopp. It would be interesting to see what beasts he would make out of players like Trent, Jones, Nunez and even Gakpo.

Leverkusen go 11 points clear by beating Mainz 2-1 tonight.

Alonso is my number 1 preference to succeed Klopp at Anfield.

We can see in stark contrast the difference in performance between the two teams at the moment, Leverkusen is still untouched by a single defeat, and currently Xabi's fleet is at the top of the points table, while Mainz is at the bottom of the standings. That second goal was the goalies blunder, he should have done better. This would not be taken likely amongst the staff's. Mainz fought back into the game but it's not how far bit how well.

Bayern Munich is a team that fights until the last second. There have been many games and championships in the past that they only won at the last second. Even if many people think that the teams mentality has changed, it does not matter. Because every team in the Bundesliga will also fight until the last second if they still can achieve something.
