Bayer's victory was obvious - the leader against 17th place with 15 points. The only argument in Mainz's favor is the enthusiasm of the new coach, but today this was not enough. Although the game actually turned out to be difficult, statistically Bayer dominated:

Shots - 18:13
Shots on target – 7:4
Corners – 11:2

plus complete dominance in ball possession.
One way or another, Bayer's advantage has reached 11 points, and if tomorrow Bayern loses points in the game with Leipzig, we can begin to count the number of rounds Bayer will need to become champion.

I think Mainz played very well. After all, the boys played against the current best German team and for Leverkusen it's everything at the moment. If you take all these points into account, they offered very good resistance against the leader.

Leverkusen go 11 points clear by beating Mainz 2-1 tonight.

Alonso is my number 1 preference to succeed Klopp at Anfield.

Alonso is cooking.
Alonso is actually cooking, his coaching pattern is very good and well recommendable for other teams because he is such an amazing and talented young manager that is here to change some narratives in football management system, he can do more of this from all indications.

He is one of the nominees to replace Klopp at Anfield and he will be a perfect replacement that can do more than what Klopp did because he started well and he is about to keep records in the Bundesliga.

Leverkusen vs Mainz : 2 : 1

Andrich was the player who sealed Leverkusen's victory this time. Yes, his second goal in the 68th minute was the deciding factor, moreover it was a very special goal.

The points are full, 3 points for them. And this further strengthened their position at the top of the standings. There is no doubt that Leverkusen this season is truly unstoppable and unbeatable. Will they really be invincible in the end? This is amazing. I saw how Xabi Alonso was really proud of his players.

If my guess is correct, then they have set up a new record, Yes! That have indeed possessed that mentality of champions from the start of the season, I don't know if this is the doings of Xabi Alonso but anyways he's done well for these lads.
They're eleven points ahead now in the league standing, if Leipzig can slow down Bayern Munich then tommorow, it'll be nothing but case settled.

Those two goals indeed I'd say are beautiful. Granit Xhaka's celebration was also mind blowing. Such a beautiful celebration for a beautiful goal.

That second goal was the goalies blunder, he should have done better. This would not be taken likely amongst the staff's. Mainz fought back into the game but it's not how far bit how well.

Sometimes no matter your position in the league, there are difficult moments but the major thing is scaling through the situation, the game of football doesn't portray respect for any team, a team has to show what they are made up for other team's to know how prepared they are in that particular season, though this match between leverkusen and mainz wasn't an easy encounter for the potential champions which is leverkusen but they tried their possible best to make sure that they won, lets not forget that at this stage of the season every team is trying their best to either shift from the relegation zone or move a little bit upward, kudos to bayern leverkusen because they deserve the winning.
The deserving teams knows what's at stake, they worked so hard to accomplished their essential targets this season, pretty entertaining. The Bundesliga have become tougher than we expected, we have the club's fighting to stay in the tough competitive league and we also have the ones aiming for the Bundesliga title this season. Xabi Alonso and Thomas Tuchel. Leverkusen and Munich keep everyone in suspense this season but the difference have suddenly become clearer because Leverkusen taking the lead with gap points on the table.

Leverkusen were able to score a quick goal, but Mainz were able to equalise quickly... A good first half when both teams scored goals... But still we can say that Leverkusen is overrated now, when a club from the relegation zone can score away goals... Leverkusen will probably win, but the first half is intriguing...

It is normal to see goals coming in like this from a small team against a big team when you don’t expect them to score any goal. The equalizer goal was just a sign for Bayern Leverkusen to take the match more serious in order to win all three points because of how vital the points are to them now. I don’t think Bayern Leverkusen are overrated and the win today they deserved it with all honesty.

Bayern Leverkusen continues to amaze us with their impressive performances in every match they play in. They have been on a winning streak and not allowing any shortfall of points because of the effect it will have on them on getting to win the league title. As always they’ve won today’s match also and this gave them another three points to add to their point tally. The joy on the face of Xabi Alonso shows how proud he his of his players and making him having a big record to his name in the history of the Bundesliga. They need to keep winning if they want to win the league title and at this point I’m no more underrating them that they cannot win the league title again because it is very clear that they’ll win it this season after Bayern Munich fall out and unable to close the gap points between them.

The biggest opportunity to make a profitable bet was immediately after the first half and the score was tied 1-1, but now the odds are also good:

1.56 - 3.09 - 10.29

In theory, 40 minutes (including added time) should be enough for Bayer to win this game.
And I really want to see this because in the moment their advantage over Bayern will reach 11 points, lol.
By the way, today they should set a record (now they are equal with Bayern) for the number of games in a row without defeat - 33.

Though the game is not over yet but I have no fear after picking Leverkusen to still win the game before they finally get a second goal which was scored by Robert Andrich. Leverkusen has the advantage of winning the game regardless of the fact that they are playing at home their performance also shows how serious they are cause they are dominating in the game, they are very happy to set the record should they win the game I believe it's going to be another record for the team especially their young coach xabi Alonso who became frustrated when his team was still battling 1:1 with the away team but after receiving a yellow card he became a bit relaxed but now his team has taken the lead.

The match is over and Leverkunsen managed to score a tough win today against Mainz. Currently Leverkusen has a difference of 11 points over Bayern Munich and this might make Leverkusen more comfortable at the top of the standings. Munich is suffering and seems to be failing in the Bundesliga this season, some say this is Kane's curse.
I'm very happy that Bayern Leverkusen was able to win the match after Mainz scared me with their 5 minutes interval equalizer they got at the 8th minutes. Leverkusen really need to win the league this season because they have put in a lot of efforts and commitment to the league and it is obvious luck is also on their side because Bayern Munic that is supposed to be their contender has been struggling both in their domestic league and external competitions. If Bayern Leverkusen remain consistent in collecting their 3 points as they are doing, the gap between them and Munic will widen and perhaps that will make them win the league.

Werder Bremen vs Darmstadt 98
With back to back wins, Werder Bremen have reached an ambitious stage in the European Cup race. Bremen beat Bayern Munich away, but the home defeat to Heidenheim showed how fragile they are in a sense. I expect Bremen to be physically weak again in this match due to the high number of absentees and players on the card limit. Darmstadt, who are at the bottom of the league, look more resilient and aggressive lately despite their defensive problems. With the addition of Polter they can also improve in offense. Coach Lieberknecht is suspended. I think they can score at least one goal against Bremen. Goals against are a good betting option.

Bayern Munich will host Leipzig for the next match. Leipzig are in good form ahead of this important match, they are also very motivated to win after having 3 matches without defeat. This might be a tough test for Bayern Munich after suffering 2 consecutive defeats in the Bundesliga, but the probability of their victory is still very high.

Mainz isn't playing a poor games at all at some point they are appearing like they want to balance the game and get to create opportunities around Bayer Leverkusen but then I'm trusting and believing Leverkusen will not allow for such a mistake that will cost them because they are already at a point where the result form this game will have some good impact on their total performance this season.

Leverkusen is most likely going to win the game because I doubt if they will be willing to get their first loss for the season against Mainz, they would rather e d the game as a draw than allowing Mainz to get three points for them at the end of the game. Mainz is currently down by a player so most definitely they are not going to win not with a man down and Leverkusen a goal ahead already, Leverkusen has got another opportunity to get the points.and get the gap between them and other teams wider such that they will still be at the top of the table.

Two goals happened in quick time. It's no longer an interesting thing because it happens too often. A number of opportunities that occurred in the first half were so interesting that Xabi Alonso had to accept the yellow card given to him by the referee just before half time.

Odds on many betting sites are increasingly changing because the match has entered the 65th minute, the score is still tied.
Bayern Leverkusen's hard work gave me the courage to ensure that they could score the winning goal. Go go Leverkusen. Make my bet win.

So the odds on Leverkusen are very small, i wouldnt bet on that. Two goals have been scored in the first 10 minutes, so if that continues, the game will be very unentertaining. Leverkusen should still win, i think so, but if they only play bottom of the table, they still have a 9-point lead over Bayern Munich. So no matter how they play today, they can still lose a game and still have a very good chance of winning the title. Lets take another look in 60 minutes and then it wont be 1:1.
Leverkusen has a high chance of winning the match, but so far Leverkusen seems to have difficulty scoring the second goal because of their lack of good finishing and Mainz's good defense. Leverkusen are title favorites this season and perhaps they will not lose it because the points gap with Mayern Munich is already wide. Of course surprises can still happen before the season is over, but Leverkusen's performance is something that reassures them that they don't have much to lose.

The 1-1 score still stands today and I don't see Mainz having a high chance of ending the match with 1 point. A draw is something good for Mainz, but Leverkusen is unlikely to drop points in this match. Xabi's big ambition to win the title is reflected in his team's gameplay throughout the match, so I hope he can finish this season by winning the title.

Leverkusen has to do better in this game. I can count about three times that Mainz defenders have slipped up and   Hofmann wasted about two of those chances. In one of those chances, Wirtz was in a more better position to drill it him but he took a go at it by himself and missed it. The second half is underway and I have my fingers crossed for Leverkusen to turn this around. Also, I have to say; the officiating so far in the game has been mehhh. It was almost looking like a war in the first half.

Game on. Will be back at FT.

It turns out that so far, Mainz has been able to keep up with Leverkusen's attacks. Even though Leverkusen seemed to really dominate the match, on the other hand, Mainz was quite strict in guarding its defensive goal. The first half is over and there have been no additional goals. If we look at how the match went, Leverkusen should have won, no doubt. However, in the second half, Xabi Alonso must make a changing tactic that is more pressing, must they must be able to refocus their attacks and be more accurate in their kicks at their targets.

Anyway, Xhaka's performance in this match so far has been quite impressive. Apart from scoring a stunning goal in the early minutes, he was also able to provide quite accurate passes. He was able to score a goal from long distance, with a celebration that was quite unique and worried Xabi because it seemed like being injured  Grin Grin

Didn't expect that the results of the two teams scoring each other's goals would be this fast and bettors who chose this option would definitely be able to sleep soundly without waiting for the match results to finish. I see Mainz being reliable enough to keep up with Leverkusen in this first half and maybe that could be a positive thing against the team at the top of the standings at the moment. Mainz still need points to escape the relegation zone and if they are able to share points with Leverkusen then the results will be very good. But it's still quite far away if we talk about it because the match is still long and I think Leverkusen will still be able to do more in the second half.
