The first game will have been a very interesting one between Monchengladbach and Leverkusen but over the past two seasons now the club Borussia Monchengladbach have been a shadow of themselves and have had their best players leave. Last season they struggled really hard and without any major signings this summer yet I think they will likely be struggling to get Europe spots. So even though I think the game will be a bit difficult for Leverkusen I will predict a narrow win for them.

As for Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg I think that game is as tricky as that of Leverkusen. Bayern Munich in some matches before have struggled against the wolves and as the first match I think the wolves will be coming out strong in this game. But still a narrow win for the record champions.

Dortmund and Frankfurt is the most trickiest match I see here, both teams out of the top four last season although Dortmund had a better European campaign and right now have a better squad overall coupled with the fact that they have a new coach looking to make a statement I predict their win

If they can continue the flow of the last season, I think the most likely result will be a draw. No team got a huge transfer in either, they had a bland transfer season. Both teams will be pretty much equal, so the match would be interesting to see.

I agree with your prediction on the first one. Leverkusen outweigh quite much like I said before. I think Stuttgart are still strong in the attacking line. Guirassy has left for Dortmund but Stuttgart has signed two productive attackers like Deniz Undav and Ermedin Demirovic at the same time. I think they will score and not lose this game.

Dortmund and Bayern Munich... I also expect both teams to win. Dortmund has entered a new era with Nuri Şahin. It is the same for Bayern Munich with Kompany. I see both of them promising for now. I would like to see a good start.

First matches are always exciting, always a lot to be found out in those matches. Everyone is looking forward to those matches, every player has a lot to prove, a lot to show the manager.

In all four of these matches, there are certain areas of battle. These are surprisingly good matchups, rare for the first gameweek. I think Mönchengladbach always starts as a promising team, and they've beaten Bayern a couple of times, and drawn them. Leverkusen, after a flying season, will face a good challenge after being back. From several pages of this thread I read a lot of people who doubt Dortmund match to get 3 points in this match. Come on guys, we have to be more realistic in looking at the squads of both teams.
I know that Dortmund is just a team that thinks about the business of selling players and even some players have been sold to other teams, but what about the arrival of Guirassy? Won't this help?

Dortmund is the favourite in that match we all know, but since it's the first match of the season, we don't know how both teams may perform this season, making it tricky to predict. Dortmund have the unwanted trait of being very inconsistent. In matches you expect them to win, they'll lose or draw and in the matches you don't give them so much chance they might come out on top. An example id their Champions League run to the final last season. They'll drop points to teams like Leipzig, Stuggart and Mainz and win against Atletico Madrid, and PSG.
So Saturday's game which happens to be the first round of the league season, I think I'll stick with goals. An over 2,5 goals or both teams to score might be good options. As for the winner, my money will be on Dortmund if I have to, but since I don't have to, I won't bet on them.

Of the 9 matches that will be played in the first week of the Bundesliga, I am looking forward to 2 matches that will involve 2 promoted clubs this season. The first is Holstein Kiel who will visit Hoffenheim's headquarters and the second is St Pauli who will host Heidenheim. Usually, clubs with promoted status will have a lot of difficulty in their first week and even in some cases during the season they can't do anything so they have to be relegated again and eliminated from the highest caste.
I hope that these promoted clubs will be able to show their best abilities and compete tightly in this Bundesliga. They have to work hard to prove that they really deserve to be in the Bundesliga this season. At least they can compete in the middle of the board, I think that's enough.

And lastly, let's not forget that this is football, everything is possible, Bayern Leverkusen might have a bad day and lose this upcoming encounter between them, so it would be very wrong if Borussia monchengladbach is being ruled out completely.
