You own the pen

I don't think it was rigged. Although Hector was wise enough to use his reach advantage early in the rounds, he was quite open for Tank's hard punches. It didn't look good. It was just a matter of time before Tank would land a punch that would really hurt him so much. Tank could actually knock you out not just in early rounds but also in later rounds.

It was a good win for Davis because he will be fully confident to fight Garcia in April without worrying about any injury whatsoever. That would be a candidate for a fight of the year award if they don't really just consider running in the ring throughout the rounds because they are superpower puncher and has been knocking out their opponent lately. Unquestionably that one of them will go down and will never gonna recover after taking some power punches from his opponent.

It was the 9th round. The official time was it had 13 seconds in round 9 before it was stopped. I have won my bet on over 7.5 rounds.

I am not quite certain why Hector Garcia's team stopped the fight. He did not appear to be tired although he  appeared affected by the last punches from Tank in round 8, however, I do not reckon it was enough to stop the fight.

It wasn't the team of Hector Garcia that actually stopped the fight. It was Hector Garcia himself who quit and told his corner to stop the fight. Round 8 was really terrible for him. Tank landed heavy shots to his open head causing Garcia to lose vision. Garcia complained that he couldn't see anymore.

I think it was a good decision for Hector. He could have pushed through with the fight but he would only be punished more. Tank gets more explosive as the rounds get by.

Congratulations for your win.

Everyone is talking about Tank Davis, however, it appears that much of us fans of boxing in the forum did not notice a very important fight for the IBF welterweight division. This is Boots Ennis vs. Karen Chukhadzhyan for the IBF interim welterweight championship.

Why the interim welterweight championship for IBF? This is because Errol Spence cannot make a mandatory defense for his IBF championship because he has another mandatory defense for his WBC championship. The IBF is also very strict and force Errol Spence to make his next mandatory defense against Boots Ennis or give the championship to Ennis.

I am very excited for this because I have told everyone many times that Boots Ennis is the boxer who can win against the kings of welterweight, Spence and Crawford.

In any case, my prediction is Boots will knockout Karen in round 1.

That's what they say, Boots is feared by many in the division. High risk for Karen. Boots stepping up against Spence or Crawford will be a bigger fight, but he can't be that comfortable at 147 against the top contender may at 154. There is just no offer for money to make but I think he'll get there after Ortiz.

This is not the highlight because Tank is the main event. Too late to create a thread.

I am not quite certain why anyone would consider if Chukhadzhyan is high risk or not because he is certainly a type of opponent who is below Boots' previous 2 opponents. He might also not be the main event, however, I reckon that he might give a better show than Tank Davis hehe. I speculate Hector Garcia might make it difficult for Davis and this fight might end with a decision. My bet is over 7.5 rounds.

It was Davis who win, Garcia didn't make it to the 8th rounds as he complain that he can't see. By the time of the stoppage, he was behind the scorecard of the 3 judges, so this win setup Davis for a Ryan Garcia fight sometime in the next couple of months.

In the Ennis vs Chukhadzhyan the outcome was not surprising, although Chukhadzhyan extended Ennis the full distance for the first time in his career. So no statement win for him. Nevertheless a win is a win.

Boots Ennis won but agreed, it was a no statement win. He also does not deserve to fight Errol Spence after a weak performance.

Tank struggles to beat Hector IMO. It's quite unusual to see a Mexican who we always admire having the will of a warrior yet ready to quit the fight. Hector did good utilizing his reach and punch backs. He wasn't knocked out, he was hit but not really wobbling going to his corner. In my gut, it's rigged as it is. Anyway, I didn't bet and this is not after all the main menu since the real fight is Ryan vs Tank.

Yes, Hector gave Tank a run for his money. He gave a good fight. Credits to him even if he lost the fight. But Hector Garcia is not a Mexican. He is from Dominican Republic. He was an Olympian representing Dominican Republic.

It was an intermediate fight, before the fight with Garcia, which everyone has been waiting for so long, so the outcome was largely predictable. The Tank was not as good as I expected, recently quite a few problems have fallen on it and it is clear that this has affected its condition. In general, the fight was difficult, but Tank proved his superiority, Hector simply refused to continue the fight after the eighth round. Perhaps this is a little unexpected, but he said that he began to see badly and he had a severe headache, this is not a joke.

I saw The tank getting hit real hard there.  Hector Garcia had good counters and clean punches that launched on Davis face, if the guys is has a heavier punches I think Davis would have been floored with those punches.

As expected Davis won the fight, but he isn't slick as his earlier fights.  He even often leave himself open which Garcia took advantage of.  Davis looks like a bit slow here but probably it is because of the recent issues he had that disrupt his training and focus.  If he will play like this when he face Ryan Garcia, I am afraid Davis will kiss the floor.  Hopefully, his performance will improve on his next fight.

As you wished. The fight ended with another stoppage in favor of Tank. I don't even know if it was the real strategy of Hector if he was given the right time to train which is 2 to 3 months. He was supposed to give be more active in the early rounds and bully the slow starter Tank with his jabs. Maybe Hector was saving energy in order to survive in the late rounds which is unusual because he is not a KO artist and is used to fighting in long rounds.

You can't bully a guy who can knock you out anytime, just like what happen to Romero he tries to bully Tank and ended up getting knocked out with one punch that's the scenario that Hector doesn't want that to happen, but unfortunately, it happens late in the 8th round because he receives big punches when he is attacking Tank.

Anyways, we will see if the Tank will really face Kingry. It will be the battle of the top cherry-pickers in boxing. Although Kingry is not yet a world champion so maybe it's an excuse to fight nobodies and has-beens. Kingry canceling his tune-up bout makes him nearly a year inactive if he faces Tank in April or onwards. Honestly, I do not see Kingry winning against Tank.
After this fight all eyes are now on these two fighters I'm sure there will be a lot of trash-talking between the two because of the bad blooth between the two, we all just hope that Ryan is in good health in my mind and body and avoid canceling the fight, between the two its Ryan who always back up or cancel a fight, Tank is always on the go

I would be impressed if they gave Hector Garcia a minimum of 2 months to prepare. With less time to prepare while Tank was obviously training already, it is hard to imagine an upset. Although I would love Hector to score an upset.

PBC people and its partners always try to hype Tank's PPV events to their loyal followers. Here's the face-off where Tank tried to scare Hector Garcia. https://fb.watch/hT_cJYUb-2/

I don't want upset to happen not this time I want Gervonta to face Ryan Garcia still undefeated and fresh from his win against Hector Garcia, Gervonta will try to inculcate fear in Ryan Garcia by knocking him out, obviously in their Face-off Hector is very reluctant to engage in a thrash talk, he prefers to do his thing in the ring.
I just hope he can offer resistance against Tank but of course Tank will eventually win.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
lbs like Ryan, it might take some toll on him. Nevertheless,

Right, at least there is no derailing the superfight between Tank and King Ry. Tank said that he will take a week's off. And then go back to the gym to prepare for his biggest fight against Ryan Garcia in April.

That's good, there's no stopping this fight, the most anticipated fight of the year is gonna happen. Davis has showed how strong he is, he was hit hard by Garcia but still he was able to stand, his technique is very similar to Donaire which is get hit and just hit your opponent hard with your counter punch.

I like the outcome, it was close at the beginning but in the end it's the better fighter who won the fight.

It was not as violence as the ending on the Rolly Romero fight, but Davis, gets the job done here. It was like the fight though, chess game for Davis, but his ring IQ was unbelievable and that he target that eye once it was damage and it's just a matter of time before it shuts that Garcia can't see and quit.

But Davis took some damage, maybe his chin is solid or he can take the punch. But if it is a different 135 lbs like Ryan, it might take some toll on him. Nevertheless, Hector Garcia is a dangerous opponent for Davis and he passed the test again.

Davis has some chin, he was absorbing some heavy shots from Garcia but he was still able to stop. Actually, Garcia was competing well, he had some rounds which he won but he got careless, he probably was thinking to KO Davis ,but the opposite happen as he was unable to continue the fight after almost getting knock down.

This is a good news because this only means that we will see a Davis vs Ryan Garcia fight.

In the post fight press conference, he said that he is ready for Ryan Garcia. Yes, it was a good test for Gervonta Davis in this fight, Hector Garcia is no easy tune up fight, I thought he is going to finished him under 8 rounds. So no shame in Hector Garcia, he won some rounds in my book. It's that Gervonta's power is very difficult that if you were really caught by it, hard to recover even in between rounds.

So the stage is set in April for Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia, can't wait.

Hector Garcia was a tough test indeed, i even thought that Garcia would upset Davis before that round 8. From what I saw, Davis has difficulties dealing with bigger opponents like Hector and i personally thought that if the fight with Ryan Garcia pushes through, he will have trouble dealing with size, speed, youth and power of Ryan Garcia considering that the latter would mentally prepare for this biggest fight of his career.

And that's what Ryan said as well, he has the height and reach advantage and says that he is going to utilized it in their fight. So if Hector will be a big problem for him, just a bit longer, what more if Ryan who is taller and lengthy and knows how to used his physical advantage.

I don't know but something is off with Davis here, not the performance that we wanted or expected of him, but true, this is still considered a win and so the fight with Ryan is now 99% on the go.

Styles makes a fight so they say, Hector Garcia did well with his reach and height advantage but eventually the big puncher will find his range and his way Davis put the fight on Garcia but Garcia relied on his technique of throwing jabs and uses his reach advantage, but Davis is a veteran knock out an artist he knows how to get his powerbomb and when it does it's over for Garcia, now he needs to fight another Garcia and its the better version of Garcia that is fighting, Gervonta will be back in the gym to prepare for Ryan Garcia now.

I think it's the reach only that had been the problem from the start. He is trying to calculate how far he should lean forward to reach Garcia but it took longer before he finds his rhythm.
Garcia on the other hand got greedy in the 7th and 8th rounds. He tried to do dirty boxing and keep the fight close which was taken advantage of by Davis. Big mistake from Garcia there, he was actually giving the Tank a difficult time and he might've even won it if the fight ended in a UD.
But, I am surprised and admired how strong his chin is. He took a lot of shots and yet he absorbed it pretty well.
Even the commentators are thinking Davis punches are not working that much until the 8th round happened.

Will be interesting if upset will happen on this match but seems unlikely to happen.
If upset, don't know if davis vs garcia will push thru. But let us see...
It seems that this will go the distance, with odds of 4.xx, whereas, if this fight will be over 7.5, has the odds of 1.7x.
The odds for the fight going the distance is very tempting to place your bet with but bookies are highly favoring davis on this match.

With all the distraction on the Davis camp, i do think that this fight will go the full twelve rounds but i'm still favoring Davis to get the nod of the judges so that 4.40 odds for Davis by Decision is very attractive and i'm betting on that.

Upset is probable as Garcia is a live underdog but i'm not gonna throw some money on him for this fight.
