It's called bounty signature campaings, but they don't force you to write only about their project. You can post whatever you want and thus you advertise a project by wearing their signature. And in most cases it's very profitable both for a project and for a bounty hunter.

True and most of the rules the ICOs offers for their signature campaigns do not require you to even talk to about their ICO specially here in bitcoin talk though it might be different to social media campaigns. What they need is the appearance of their signatures in the specific threads in which those audience that they want to target with. I really think that these bounty campaigns to be profitable too and less much of a hassle than your usual part time job.

Signature campaigns do not really impose self advertising and/or faking people's comments on campaigns. I think it is sad if a company actually does that, and that is a clear sign that that campaign will fail horribly.

I think you are talking about the bounty signature campaign. By posting you are advertising because people see the banner of the ICO.

They tell you to write in cetain threads and even on some topics but i didnt saw anywere to tell you that you must talk good abut the project. I only saw that you should not talk bad but you cand promote it by writing details and the development. I dont see anything bad in this because they are paying to promote the project and dont oblige you to write any false information. It is true that there are some users who praise some projetc with no reason but i believe that they didnt read the rules carrefull or they expect a better compensation.

Yes ! you will get paid when you post in this forum but first you need to apply in ICO/Bounty campaigns and then you need to follow their rules to be eligible.

I was wondering this problem. Do you think some ICO are hiring people to comment positively on their ICO post ?

Is it legal under the forum rules
Signature campaign participants are not required to post anything about the ICO/project they are promoting. Wearing the signature is the marketing strategy itself. And posts or messages are replies or comments made on a certain topic.

Well said there. Just to add on top. I will give a simple example. If CocaCola wants to launch a new product and they give away T-shirts for free and pay you each time you wear that t-shirt. You are not forced to wear it, but each time you wear it you know that you will get paid. In a way you will make sure your are always wearing it. This is more or less with what happens with bounties. You are not forced to wear signatures but because you are paid to do so and its some kind of earning, you wear it and in a way you will be marketing their project further. Hope I have explained it clearly from a layman's point of view

It is not a problem. Those ICO that hire people for signature campaign does instruct bounty hunters to post positive thoughts for their products. They only ask you to wear the campaign signature.  Also they did not ask a quite number of post to avoid spam.  ICO signature campaign did not break rules or it is not illegal.

I think there's a difference between signature campaigning and being paid to post (shill) some coins/ICOs. The latter is obviously more scammy, since it might just be straight up deception and lies.

And they could also be paid under the hood, essentially cutting out the middleman.

We get paid from signature campaigning. Every ICO has different different criteria to post in this forum. Some wants to comment in his thread, Some do not ask but it is not a compulsion by every Ico to post positive comments. They want specific no of post to get paid that is how it works. Through signature campaigning ICOs do their promotions.

in the bounty you go with their rules and token or coin will pay you bigger because you earn high rank and depending on how many months the project will end and also depends on what exchanger they list their token

I think it's only natural that it happens because they also need something interesting for their ICO project so many people follow the project but I do not think all projects do that

Well, i have not come across any ICO project that mandates his participants to comment on their ANN thread. Signature campaign is 100% allowed. There is absolutely nothing wrong in participating in any of the bounty of your choice.

Why would you do something shady like that when bounty campaigns are normal and accepted? There is also nothing stopping supporters from posting. I know I make positive posts every time I get an airdrop for a project with a DAO. No one has to pay me or give me a bounty for those posts. I even support projects that didn't start with a DAO but are considering becoming one.

A lot of campaign pay you in their currency for wearing their banner in your signature. This can be good publicity for the project and pay well for yourself too.

I advise against any spam on the forums though as you do not want to become blacklisted and be rejected from further campaigns

This is a perfectly legal way to implement promo new ICO. In this case, it is often forbidden messages with spam
