No doubt, Arsenal are the favourite in today’s games. But the problem is that your choice is limited: you cannot pick more than 4 players from the same team. That’s how we’ll find out who is the best fantasy manager.

Congratulations to Gran Via. La Liga. Week 34. Wednesday winners! Cxevt has set a new record - 199.82! It was a really great decision to pick Suárez as the captain instead of Neymar or Messi. Players don’t score 4 goals and 3 assists every year.
We would also like to draw your attention to the results of Man United vs. Crystal Palace. The guests’ goalkeeper Julian Speroni made 9 saves, scoring 15.5 fantasy points despite his team’s 0-2 defeat. Can you imagine that his salary was only $9 mln before the match? That’s the best investment for any fantasy manager.

Baker Street. EPL. Postponed matches Only 11 teams at this moment.
The most interesting EPL games.
All the four hosts are in favourites, but only Arsenal is unlikely to face any difficulties. I’m sure, all users will draft Sanchez or Özil for offense. Defense players are also an excellent choice: it’s hard to imagine West Bromwich scoring.
West Ham hosts Watford, which means that the hosts’ active offense will face the guests’ solid defense. West Ham will have to work hard to score, but as Londoners are eager to qualify for European cups, they won’t stop trying.
Liverpool vs. Everton. That’s a fierce derby between two Liverpool teams. Everton has nothing to fight for: they are in the middle of the table. But this match is special and nobody is going to give in. As both teams’ defense leaves much to be desired, it’s better to draft midfielders and forwards.
Man United vs. Crystal Palace. The 5th team against the 16th. The table shows that there is zero motivation. But MU surprises with its defense and overall results this season, and the guests grabbed a point from Arsenal last week. Manchester will attack a lot, but be ready to see dangerous set-piece play by Crystal Palace. You can risk and draft the guests’ central defenders: they will attack from set piece and may allow no goals.

Let’s choose the captain for Gran Via. La Liga. Week 34. Wednesday
Where you shouldn’t look for the captain
Bilbao match. Athletic vs. Atlético matches are often unpredictable. Of course, you can risk to draft Griezmann, but don’t be surprised if he scores less than 10 points.
Sporting vs. Sevilla. The hosts may leave the championship so they will fight for every point. The guests are eager to qualify for European cups, but they haven’t won away for 16 matches in a row.
Valencia vs. Eibar. Valencia beat Barcelona in the away game, but they won’t be able to keep counter attacking the whole match. You can risk and draw Parejo, but there are other players who are more likely to bring you loads of points.
Malaga vs. Rayo. That’s a perfect match to pick defence. Rayo hasn’t won away for 14 games, Malaga is in favourites, but the hosts score little. Though, they allow few goals, too. The match won’t provide you with a reliable captain, but it’s very important for fantasy.

Where you should look for the captain
Of course, in Barcelona and Real matches. Barca aren’t stable, but they can’t lose points. The away game against Deportivo won’t be fun, but they have to get through the crisis.
Real are in good form and host the fourth team in this championship — Villarreal. Will we see struggle? Very likely. But we can be sure that hosts’ offence will have a lot of shots. Don’t forget, Bale is injured, so you can expect James Rodríguez on the field.
Messi, Neymar, Suárez, Ronaldo or Benzema? That’s a pity you can’t draft all.

Let’s think what player to select for the captain

Today’s contests include 3 matches
Mid-level Spanish Betis and Las Palmas can just relax at the end of the season: both teams won’t fight for European cups and are sure to play in the Primera. Such matches rarely have miracles like loads of goals, so it’s better to direct your attention to defence.
Espanyol vs Celta. The guests are coming to get points, as the fight for Europa League is in full swing. Catalans have already beaten Celta in the last 7 home matches and are unlikely to give in. Both teams have good offence so you can expect a fruitful match and draft offence players. First of all, I would mention Celta’s Nolito.
Newcastle vs. Manchester City. EPL favourites head to outsiders. Quality difference between teams is obvious, but England sometimes witnesses miracles. Newcastle have alway been tenacious and now they can’t lose a point. That’s good that we don’t need to predict the match result: what really matters in fantasy is a player performance. The most obvious picks for captains are Aguero and De Bruyne (City), but don’t forget about the host offence with Aleksandar Mitrovic on the edge.

Congratulations to winners in the biggest freeroll (according to unique users)
I’d also like to mention that two Tottenham players got more than 20 points. Both Dele Alli and Harry Kane scored twice and brought 21.1 and  21.2 points. One more important observation: Stoke City lost 0-4, but despite this heavy defeat, Ibrahim Afellay got 11.1 points for active playing. That’s a great example that match results don’t influence fantasy points your players bring.

Every two weeks we update player salaries. For example, Iwobi (Arsenal) cost $11 mln, and now he costs $15 mln, having consolidated his place in the starting 11. And Darlow, Newcastle’s third goalkeeper now costs $12 mln instead of 9, as two other keepers are injured.
This makes drafting a team and finding value more difficult, but salaries get more true-to-life. So it’s just a new challenge.

I for one am a novice when it comes to fantasy sports so I am participating only in free-rolls right now trying to learn the ropes and trying out different tactics and team formations. I guess only a handful of the most experienced players are enrolling in the paid tourneys so that's the reason you are seeing only familiar faces. I need more time to be comfortable putting money on the table and I suppose that's one of the reasons for other players as well. But as you know people love freeloading so maybe they don't want to buy in with their own cash?
I suppose you are right. That's great that you keep providing us with feedback. Continue practising, next week we'll offer loads of freerolls: on Monday we'll add contests for the next week.  Wink
