I've just made a full screenshot of my Portfolio page.. just in case. Hopes that I won't need it  Undecided
How did you do that.  Or did you do it before the site was taken down?

Probably the page was already open?

To all Gigaminers:

It seems that glbse.com has been taken down for the time being. I would rather not speculate on what is going on with the site, so I will wait until Saturday to get the official word from Nefario.

The site does say that there has not been a security breaches so all of the coins held in glbse.com for Monday's coupon payments should be safe.

Are those pools working good for Gigamining? any less/more stales than GPUMAX?

Gigamining was using GPUMAX has a "proxy" where when GPUMAX wasn't selling the shares to purchasers, they were passed on to these pools. GPUMAX worked really well as a proxy and used the proper technologies to make passing shares back and forth as fast as possible.

It is in the interests of your bondholders that you create FPGAMAX and ASICMAX to maximize returns.

To all Gigaminers:

Per the #gpumax channel on freenode, it looks like gpumax has been sold and will shut down on Oct. 8th.

Quote
GPUMAX will be down on 10/08 at 12:00 AM CST.  The system may or may not come back up depending on the new owners.

Gigamining is not longer passing hashing power through gpumax and we will wait and see what the new owners have to say about running the service.

Gigamining is currently running on three pools:

  • bitminter.com
  • eclipsemc.com
  • coinlab.com

So, in case I have 10 holdings, the best option would be to set 9 to be upgraded early by paid mode and then wait for a second later stage and upgrade the remaining holding. Am I right?

I would like to only do upgrades once where I need to communicate with Gigaminers. In your situation, I would recommend that you wait until the equipment arrives. I was hoping to be able to:

  • Do the early upgrade with multiples of 9 while holding back the remaining units until the equipment arrives.
  • Send out remaining units when the equipment arrives.
  • Upgrade the others who i recommended wait.

I would like to be able to do some early and some later so that I don't have 300 people coming at me at once.

Is this still true then?  Do you still want my Gigamining holdings to be a multiple of 9?

Multiples of 9 are still needed to upgrade early without creating more work for either party.

To all Gigaminers:

If you want to receive full payments between the time you trade in Gigamining and receive Teramining, please make sure that you Gigamining holdings are in a multiple of 9.

This will allow for a seamless transition through the entire process of upgrading and will allow you to turn in all of your Gigamining bonds at once without issue. This will also keep from me having an accounting nightmare on my hands. Smiley

OK after Teramining is in full swing ... will Teramining bonds then be traded or does one still have to buy gigamining and do upgrade to get more teramining?   And if someone doesn't do giga to tera upgrade will those bonds still receive their payouts at current rates, Because it sounds like to keep doing bond trading giga will have to remain in effect.

Naelr

Once Teramining is released, they will be able to be traded. My main point with the upgrade is two fold:

  • To give Gigaminers priority in the upgrade so that they can set the price to what they like as Teramining will not have an implicitly set price.
  • To not flood the market with more bonds. Nothing is certain in life, but I do not plan to issue anymore Teramining bonds once the upgrade is complete.

Hope that helps clarify my intentions.

Since BFL's ASIC performance will far exceed the original expectations, will Gigamining bonds end up being worth more than 22.5Mh/s each?

Hi GoWest,

I've been crunching the numbers and have I believe I have found a solution. The simple answer is yes.

Code:
                GIGAMINING   TERAMINING
Total Gh/s      200Gh        5,400Gh
Mh/s per bond   5Mh/s        9Mh/s
Total bonds     40,000       600,000

Free Upgrade Path
I will offer a 1:4 exchange of Gigamining bonds for Teramining bonds that costs nothing to upgrade. An example would be if you have 400 Gigamining bonds and don’t want to pay to upgrade, you can swap them 1:4 for Teramining bonds. This would represent a 7.2x increase in the bonds hashing power at no additional cost. So in this case, the 400 Gigamining bonds (2Gh) would be upgraded to 1,600 Teramining bonds (14.4Gh).

Paid Upgrade Path
I will also offer a 1:15 exchange of Gigamining bonds for Teramining bonds. So, if you have 400 Gigamining bonds (2Gh) and pay the upgrade fee, you will receive 6,000 Teramining bonds (54Gh) in return. The fee to upgrade will be .29 BTC per Gigamining bond. So, the upgrade fee on 400 Gigamining bonds would be 116 BTC.

You will notice that the free upgrade has moved from 5x to 7.2x. This is intentional.

The minimum buyback has also changed from .02 BTC to .005 since there are so many more units.

Best,
gigavps
