My case was for syncing the wallet, not for running the synced wallet  Big difference. Any synced, even the crappiest wallet can run on weaker system than yours.

Close your wallet and open it few days later so you will need to catch up with the network. Then post here a screenshot. I can bet you will have problems catching up with the network.

This is not the first wallet running on my computer. But with this wallet I set a negative time record when syncing.

I was able to sync ethereum wallet much faster from scratch, even when it's network was under heavy attack, then this wallet with only a couple of thousands block behind - on same computer.

Im sorry for that, maybe next post just below yours (#1574) gave me this feeling..
Anyway Its no problem for me to do that test especially for you, and I can sacrifice few GB coins not mined by my wallet during test (wallet ofline)
Ok will start now, how many days you saying 3,5, 7?
Regards

ha-ha, c-Cex just listed GB couple of months ago, i personally paid 0.5 btc for votes, and want to delist it. Seems that they are really lack of server resources.
They delisting more coins then listing new. In the end he will finish with Bitcoin , Eth and Dash.

Exactly this same happen already to ADZcoin in previous reduction, haha
They will finished with 3 main coins or ask us to come back when we reach $1+ Wink

Yes, and you will need a minimum of 16Gb ram to sync this wallet in a - lets say decent time.

Dev, could you please optimize the wallet to be more user friendly for "average" computers. We don't all have a 8 core xeon processors and 32Gb of ram running in our computers.

Regarding wallets, high resources consuming etc... I dont really understand it.
I have my wallet running on really old hp desktop computer, in my loft Smiley with UPS battery backup. Super stable piece of hardware I have to say and no any of this kind of problems at all, its enough to check it once a week or 2 Wink.
System is running as you can see from my screenshot for 239 days non-stop and only wallet has been updated on September last year due to as darkgold said "you somehow forked" so resynchronised whole chain as well.
So there must be some other reason behind your high cpu usage etc..

Thanks but i wait the next one, block 772,000 is 1 month ago, that take too long time for sync and that wallet eat all my computer CPU/Memory. (Core i5)

That's right syncing needs a lot of Cpu Power -  but i came back on track within 1 day from last -  i remember Mint or Redd (Bitcoin is worst!) took a way longer to sync    (but i also reniced Goldblocks-wallet on Linux - more priority to sync)

Since uptodate it doesn't need that much.

So a solution would be more frequent Blockchain SNAPSHOTS.

either that - or create your own blockchain backups ...

via snapshots - or bootstraps ... that way you can always have them on hand when you decide to change machines or wallets or just want to resync from scratch ...

this of course is NOT recommended if your hdd space is low and you dont have any offline source of storage - which some people running smaller systems like raspberry pi or similar is not really an option ...

at home i have and make weekly backups;  best thing is that they work vice-versa   from Windows to Linux Smiley

was just thinking for the new ppl, to get faster on track

awesome ...

yup - there are downloads of snapshots and bootstraps made - but cant remember where ...

darkgold? ...

though wallet backups are THE most important of all of these procedures of course Tongue ...
