As far as proof of stake coins go, as requested I would say that ethereum is your best bet long term, with the switch over to POS it will certainly be the go to for many.

The altcoin prices are very low, this is the time to buy these types of altcoin. You can invest STRAT, XVG, DGB. These are very good altcoins, prices fell because investors are not psychologically stable and sell at very low prices.

For me ethereum is the best altcoin to hold for long long run of time even this coin are surpass by bitcoin cash I believe that one day this coin are raising up again to take the second spot in crypto currency.

Its good but for me it depends in the market when the market its dump or altcoins i will sell some and go with bitcoins and same as bitcoins when altcoins or bitcoins price arises. Too many good long term altcoins now just research and if you are willing to take risk.
