The best Altcoins to invest for Long Term are definitely XRP and IOTA. Because they have a great future and already a wide acceptance! Just look which companies they got and what they offer. Both is really unique and needed. So if you want a really long term investment, put your money in these Coins 
In my opinion, the best coin to invest for long-term is always bitcoin. In addition, I think ethereum have a great potential to reach good prices in the future.

there was one altcoin called DMD (Diamond) that i think had a pretty good stable price and if i am not mistaken it was a POS system. you might want to check that out because i don't have many details on it.
