It's hard to find an Altcoin to make investments in 2 years, a long term investment. But if I had to choose, I will choose Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Ethereum Classic (ETC), etc... yeah, you're right bitcoin is the king of crypto,
but maybe we need to make a profit in bitcoin by make an investments on others coin my friends
Agree with most of the suggestions above. Common investments such as ETH, ANS, ARK and SIA should do well.
To add my personal choice, I'm quite fond of Lykke. They should be able to profit from the growing crypto market and issues with the current exchanges. Their development is quite professional as well.

The altcoins i am looking forward for investment are ethereum and litecoin because i think that these two coins can keep up with the growing competetion and will help me to earn good profits. Monero and dash are also good coins for investment.

Ethereum has proven itself to be one of the best long term altcoins. Almost every ICO has shown lower returns than Ethereum even when eth was used to fund them. It is stable (for an altcoin) and it is bound to eventually overtake bitcoin in marketcap before continuing upwards.

Investment are always riski. But you earn good profit you take risk. No pain no gain. I think you can chack ETC . ETC going move and its price is good. Long tarm altcoin investment ETC give you good profit.
I can also suggest GRC Gridcoin Research for long term investment. Of course not for all your portfolio but an amount of 5%-10% could be enough. With the use of supercomputer Golem project, the price of this coin will rise steadily.

A very promising long-term investment is Ethereum, Ethereum has a much better future.
Indeed it is a great investment asset but if people had bought it in January starting then they have made good amount of money till now.but i suggest now that people should buy wave,as many new project are using wave blockchain as their token ,it can lead to good investment in nearby future.If it is true I am interested in investing in waves because I do not like to wait.
For long-term, nobody knows for sure which coins will be the top winners. It may be
safer to invest in all or most of the top 10 or 20 coins instead of betting the farm on any single

Don't forget to add ETC to your portfolio. In a long term investment, ETC is the best. Price will be increase depend on ETH price, and it will e good for you. Best wishes.

If you want buy an altcoin can long-term 1-2 years and have PoS, I recomend you should choose ETH, because in end 2017, maybe ETH change from PoW to PoS system! But if you want invest altcoins long-term 1-2 years not have PoS, I think you can choose DGB, SC, GAME, MUSIC, ETC, STRAT, PIVX, ... this is some potential altcoins can buy now with cheap price and target can up to 200% i just want to invest my BTC with a good Altcoin for longterm investment,, with proof of stake system
