I think so. Because now BTC will dump. it's effect from Altcoin. So I think this is the good time to buy Altoona(ETH).
Is there some kind of reminder app or alert to tell us the current altcoin (in particular ethereum) price and can we set an alert when prices go down or up?

I sold most of my ETH last night and bought some BTC. I needed to fix my coin allocation anyways. That said, I wouldn't buy ETH right now. I wouldn't put any money in at this moment, but if I did, it would be into BTC.
I'm a little fish so any trades were minimal fwiw.
Are you expecting to get the free bitcoin gold in the future? it seems that become true, you are converting all of your ethereum into the bitcoin itself. And i may think about this will have a relationship with bitcoin fork. I'm a little fish so any trades were minimal fwiw.
Of course, it really makes sense to dump ETH now and put it all on bitcoin because of the upcoming HF which you will get free coins. And you will see that bitcoin has rise to $4800. If I'm going to ETH, I wouldn't go with the current price. Its still high and I will wait for it to floor just a couple of days to HF. Maybe around $200-$250 is a good buying point. As of now, its not. Altcoin market is bleeding, nothing you can do as traders would likely putting money in bitcoin. Sp I'll just wait for a few more days and see if the market still move sideways and at the price range that I stated was meet, then I will definitely buy more ETH.
Even before BTC Gold Hard fork, fork of ETH is planned on 17 October. The last upgrade fork made price of ETH rise more than 100%. Of course it doesn't mean it will be the same this time, but I think there are good possibilities for ETH to go up before BTC fork occurs.
On the other hand more and more rumors are being spread around about what a failure of a project BTC Gold is, so there might no be as many investors interested in buying BTC as there were before the BCH fork. And BTC also rised a lot in the last days and it seems it's losing it's steam a little, so right now there's risk of buying it at a top. I do believe BTC is set for ATH but it will probably make some dips before it reaches it. So it would be better to wait than to buy BTC right now. On the other hand ETH has been ranging for some days and 300 USD support seems quite strong and it may well hold until the ETH hard fork.
if you are trading, buy the dips, if your strategy is accumulate - aka buy and hold - then this seems like a good time to buy.

It is always good time to buy ethereum because their value will always rises after a fall. So it s a great time to buy ethereum whenever the price is lpw because it will come back again, then you can gain profit with that. So whenever the ethereum falls, if you have an extra money, buy some of it because it will probably gave you a profit after that drops. Trust me, I've been holding a lot of ethereum today because I know their potential to gro and be the best altcoins.
I think this is the right time to buy ETH. The price of it is now increasing and it is your ideal time to buy it. But the decisions is yours. It's up to you if you want to buy since the ETH is in the good position right now.

It is hard to say lately, eth seems to stay in the same point sice few months. It is stable coin nowadays in my opinion. I dont know how would you treat this bought? As a trading, as investment? In my opinion ETH would be better as investment during current price.

Yes it is a good time to buy Etherium since the market value is increasing everytime because it is oftenly used in ICOs that makes its market demand high which positively affects its market value. Investing or buying ETH and holding will yield to huge profit. You may also wait for the dips , but buying at this point will also result to huge profit so that would be the same. do you think it's a good time to buy ETH now? the post was started on july month that is few months ago when eth was between 100-150$ ,but now it is above 300$ .i think another dump is coming when another bitcoin hard fork will come to near. then all will try to buy btc for taking reward,then eth will be dip again i think. so before btc hard fork buying is better. do you think it's a good time to buy ETH now? Depends on which currency you want to use for investing into ETH. I think using FIAT is safe for now, because it will go higher in EUR / USD value imho.
