Hi guys,

do you think it's a good time to buy ETH now? Price seems to be kinda low, but I'm not sure what to expect from ETH during the upcoming weekend & the aug1-happening after..
Do you think it's better to wait a few days...?

looking at the current fall in price of ethereum, right now is a very good time to buy ethereum, but it's pretty bad time to buy bitcoin as it's pumped pretty badly right now because of the fork, so I think that it's pretty risky to buy bitcoin right now as it can fall after the hardfork on 25th October, so you should at least wait till that day if you are thinking about buying bitcoin.
So it's the best time to buy ethereum as everyone's mind is towards bitcoin right now and no one is looking in ethereum so after the fork when it will get attention then it's price will definitely rise.

You can buy ethereum now as the price is expect to double in few months to come. The few of split of bitcoin network will not last long and we expect bitcoin and Ethereum to do correlation in few days to come if there is no split.
It is the right time if want to buy eth. If you wait and the price goes up you will miss a good moment. All in you do not hesitate if you want to buy.

I'm pretty sure that buying ethereum now is a good move for the investors because the price is on a drop position and it shows opportunity for the people who want to buy cheap ethereums for long term. If you will see another price dip then just buy from it and continue to hold for long term because nothing will beat in terms of long term investment.

You can get it before it's too late. This process no longer declines much. it is beneficial to take early.

I think it's not good to buy ethereum now, because of the increase in ETH and he goes with the bitcoin upbeat.

There has been a steady rise in the price.  We will know if this is a pump or a bull run once the fork has been put on place.  If this is a bull, we might see the price of eth at $600 the least by the end of the year.  Owing to the decreased rewards for miners.
It will be a good decision for those who have bought bitcoin before the it goes back to $300. I guess just a few really knew that this could happen.
There is a lot of dollar that is being add up to ETH value now.  Grin Maybe the ICO's helped for this huge increase.

There is a second part fork upgrade later in the month right?

This was code Byzantium and the next part is called Constantinople, so are we in for more performance upgrades when that hits?

Can only be a good thing if we are

Byzantium upgrade is now active on the ETH network and intial impression the blocks are going through much quicker, looks positive so far but lets see how it copes with the next busy ICO? now just need the price heading back towards $400

Most importantly, in my view, we are past the uncertainty of the hard fork. It came down to the wire, pretty much, with Parity developers not having released the final update until a couple days ago. It seems that the fork has gone smoothly and no split has occurred. They've bought themselves some time regarding the difficulty bomb now, and indeed, block time has improved as expected.

I don't expect this to solve congestion during the next major ICO, though. Ethereum still has major scaling hurdles ahead.

If you buy some now, you will get extra coin after the fork Smiley that's something to look for too Wink
I feel that if people want to make money through Ethereum -they would have to invest in that coin with the goal of holding it for a long period of time.

ETH is definitely a good buy several days before the hard fork, since the price will likely surge after the fork.

As of now the price of ethereum is 350 dollars and I fyou want to buy ethereum now you can do it. But invest only you can afford to lose because even this coin is a potential they have probability the price decrease if many people sell their ethereum coin. But the chances of increasing is high . I have ethereum in my wallet and I will hold it for few years to earn more profit. More ethereum more money in future.

I just bought 1.1 ETH and am now hearing of a hard fork. Should I move my ETH off coinexchange into say myetherwallet. I just want to make sure I don't lose my coin with this hard fork. I've never experienced one (hard fork) before and am unsure of what to do. Thanks for your time!

I've heard of ethereum fork, is it like bitcoin fork that produces bitcoin cash?
if so, would the extra coin of ethereum fork be a new coin?

Yes, it will be like that. Not sure what would be the name, and how it will all play out, but whoever has ethereum (I believe same rules as Bitcoin, you need to have at least 1) and a wallet that supports the next coin and you golden
lol, where did you get the information, one thing i know is that not each hard fork will bring about a new coin, such as this time, since all people come to an agreement, that will no new coins appear

In theory every time a hard fork happens there's some chance of getting a new coin. It depends on the miners. If some miners refuse to start mining the new fork, they can always stay mining the old fork and give the old coin they mine a new name. But that's just in theory. There's no different groups with different ideas fighting over future of ethereum. So unlike with Bitcoin it's very unlikely for Ethereum some miners will continue to use the old fork. Especially because the fork will make mining difficulty lower. Why would any miner hater mining more ethereum with the same hardware and power consumption and rather stay on the old fork.
