Please note that I am also debating whether or not the name 'Good Karma' should be changed to "Goodomy" (with the same ticker symbol).

One interesting issue that was had at the old Karma coin was that it somehow attracted, shall I say, "interesting" characters. Having been involved in other coin communities, this seemed odd to me. Another community member and I speculated that Karmacoin attracted so many ill-intentioned persons (that also led to more than half of total supply being stolen) simply because of our natural subconscious associations with "karma" and similar concepts. (If Google's search results are anything to go by, there are about 20% more results for 'bad karma' than 'good karma'.) Silly to think about, perhaps. Or not.

While changing the name to disassociate with both "karma" and the old Karmacoin seems a bit superstitious to me, it is under consideration. Alternatively, "Goodomy" is being considered. This would also align more with the main service (Shopomy) and enable more consistent branding.

It's also a homophone of the phrase "good of me", for whatever that's worth.

One other issue with the name, "Good Karma" is that it would be hard to find and rank in search results, as there are about 444,000 exact matches on Google. Goodomy would be far easier to rank well, in comparison (as would Shopomy).

More details about the distinction between Goodomy and Shopomy as we progress, but you may be able to tell from the road map or model that Goodomy is more business-facing while Shopomy is more consumer-facing.

Who knows, but I do know the exchange interface is difficult to use (and confusing), which may put a ton of potential buyers off.

However, I did notice quite a bit of ETH moving from GOOD to Veritaseum (which also only has one exchange) from Etherscan

I'm guessing there will be far more buy-ins once we get on another exchange*. But in my opinion the price is much more reasonable than last week.

*The problem is that a lot of exchanges are busy with ICOs now (more fees for them, I guess) and there are also a lot of new coins. It may take a bit of time to get on additional exchanges.

Some volatility is to be expected but I guess I mean trades like this:

first trade: buy @ 0.08340
next trade: buy @ 0.00003

that happened a few hours ago. It's probably some strange market manipulation (or exceedingly bulbous fingers) but I doubt if those kinds of trades would be able to happen on a regular exchange.


For development, I am providing a loan to Good Karma that will be repaid at a date that it can afford to pay it back, so won't be using tokens directly for development costs and other expenses. Thank you for the offer, though. If you have a portfolio or some examples of your work that you can send by PM, I'll keep it in mind.
