I do remember that google did impose bans on crypto advertisement. Facebook followed the same thing too few days later. But didn't they lift the ban after a year or so? I am almost sure I have seen crypto advertisements on google ad sense. And what if the company is outside the US? They can't register with FinCEN. How are they going to advertise then? But yeah. Good move by google. It looks like more companies are starting to recognize crypto industry as a legit industry.
They should still be strict with those ads because some scams are managing to bypass their process and still got some ads with scams. But they've done a well done job so that many people won't be misled again by these scams.
Crypto has been a legit industry but just like other industries, it's being attacked and swarmed by scammers.
Before, I saw many investment schemes on google ads on a website that I visit daily. It's a pyramid scheme with a note that your money will be x10 within a week. I think Google will need a tool that will determine if the cryptocurrency ads are appropriate or not. I think many people will click the ads if they saw something like this, and it will be risky for sure.
They can do that easily. So far, so good in my experience. Those scam ads that I've seen before that were appearing automatically on the pages I visit were now gone.
But I think some are still existing on top page results when you search for specific projects or topics on google.

This is actually very true and a lot of scam ICOs got the opportunity to advertise their scams via google. Maybe that's why they once shut it down. Then again it is the sam with the gurus that want to sell their advisory courses to you these days. That plague is all over the internet now.

There is also a good chance that Google bought a good bag of Bitcoin before releasing the ban or making it easier to advertise cryptocurrencies. I think that is the more likely scenario. Imagine you missed the boat but your are extremely powerful. You'd abuse your power to slow down or stop the boat, catch up, and once you are there do everything to lt the boat accelerate.

Google recently updated their policies regarding Google Ads and will now allow ads related to cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets provided they have registered with FinCEN.
I think it was an overreaction to ban the ads in the first place, sure there will be a lot of scammers but there can be scammers with not crypto ads also.  Maybe with crypto ads a 'warning' as like a warning that might appear on a pack of cigarettes, a special 'beware of crypto scams' warning.  The FinCEN thing is the 'rider' on there anyway so in most cases it will have minor impact, I think anyone should be able to advertise unless they are know scammers (just like in non crypto).

In the first place crypto was not generally accepted by all with the high risk involved. Frauds  and scams are easily achieved in crypto especially if one has no good comprehension about it interface and how it works. We all know that a lots of persons had been scammed due to their ignorance and lack of proper information.
So Google is doing it best to ensure that the rate of scam this recent time is limited.

Lifting the ban is something they had to do a long time ago because the profit from crypto advertising is not small. I noticed many projects are still marketed on other platforms. Careful moderation is all it takes to prevent scams.
The positive effect of removing ads is that money will flow into the crypto market. That's good for crypto lovers.
It's never too late for Google because they also know like you said, that the ads made in crypto are quite high and by giving the freedom that Google makes is the goal is none other, so that they can enjoy the advertising as well.

it's not even possible that there could be large project owners who directly use Google for advertising their projects, compared to them having to involve a lot of bounty hunters who also don't have a small amount of funds to prepare.
but if this happens, it's a pity that the bounty hunter portion will be eroded, but hopefully it doesn't happen.

The reason behind google banning crypto advertisement is the cheer amount of negative feedback about many of the sites that turns out to be a huge scam, and with the ban the rate at which these sites operates have gotten lower but i am sure they will soon comeback into operation if the ban is lifted and google treats it the same it did last time, so hopefully this time they have a better solution to counter this issue rather than blaming it all on the crypto.

After they do that we can see that there are so many scams advertise using their platform so best for everybody not to engage ourselves easily since we might get scam to those people who think and vouch that their platform is good and will pay you off once you decide to invest.

Hopefully google will fo a serious scanning on which website is the best to advice or to recommend peoole in good times.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Basically they are allowing crypto ads again because they now have a way to filter out the ads and differentiate the harmful ones and the safe ones. Though am I the only one who think that there's no crypto ad ban imposed before because I've seen crypto ads even before this announcement? but it seems the crypto projects or company that are registered with FinCEN gonna be very few, after all many projects aren't available for the US citizen therefore they don't need to get registered with FinCEN

This is probably the first step on the implementation of their new filters, right now they want to take the safest path but I am sure they are going to keep improving those filters until they can once again accept everyone that wants to advertise with their platform as that will increase their revenue, does this means we are going to see a lot of scams in the future? I think that is a given but people need to be smarter than that, after all if they fall for that then they would have fell victims of other scammers.

Seeing as how important and topical bitcoin and crypto advertisements are nowadays, it wouldn't make sense for google to continue its ban since they will be losing hefty revenue from potential advertisers and customers. That being said this lift will cause more scammers to come in and take advantage of poor people's moneys so it's our job as enthusiast to prepare ourselves

Scammers would always hop into anything that has a potential to ease their activities so I will not be that surprised to see them do the same with good ads now that Google allows it on their platform. But I believe that by now, people in crypto should be well informed now abi the various ways a scammer can try to scam them. Google announcements is good news though. It means exchanges can advertise and bring more users in. More volume, liquidity and cash inflow into crypto just in time for next ride to all time high.

What Google did by lifting the ban on crypto ads is news we should all welcome. Because this should be good news that can make the crypto
world develop even better. But negative effects are also bound to occur, such as scammers will return to action again. But as you said scammers
will always be around, so don't worry too much about it. Especially now that the crypto community has been educating everywhere about crypto,
I believe the percentage of the number of victims of scam in the crypto world should decrease.

For me it will be good news only if they are going to let crypto faucets make use of google adsense again. Otherwise I really don't see any benefit or not on it, because I block all the ads if they don't pay me for viewing them.
Anyway the best would be to not feed a giant globalist company like google. Advertisers could use their competitors' platforms which are much cheaper and crypto friendly since always.

Google can rea,y take the chance to grow up again because if Bitcoin. Maybe, there is always some information that will be well promoted on Google. Moreover, there are some features that can be sued to promote some coins or tokens both old and new tokens around the world. I am sure that the crypto promotions will really influence by marketed by Google,
So, this is a good starting

I mean google could at least limit these scams if they are going to verify all of the cryptocurrency advertisements, they might not be able to filter all of the scam's advertisements but they could at least limit it because it is a big deal for the community.
Well, though the news is good this is the possible negative impact of this news, there could be countless victims if Google won't fix their ads and putting restrictions regarding filtering any ads that contain malicious and fraud links. If they will care for their customer they will most likely fix this problem but so far, I did not see any improvement on that. However, this will always bring to people's awareness and spread the word of bitcoin to possible investors and understand how blockchain network will work and how useful it is.
