Actually there is nothing crazy with this result, everyone knows what gold is and they do not need to understand what it is with the help of google, but that is not the case with bitcoin, it is a new technology that is developed recently and so is the reason you are seeing more searches about bitcoin and with the price moving up so high there is no doubt there will be more interest in it than ever.
Bitcoin is something new. And this is a technology, then there is a complexity in it. So you need to learn it to understand it. While gold is an item, and it's not a technology. Obviously, we are able to identify it easily without having to learn it. Except to distinguish real or fake gold, there are experts who are studying it.

because I see that right now, there is a new trend among the people and it seems they are curious about bitcoin so they start to search more information about bitcoin. besides that, from the last December when bitcoin price increase higher, people are amazed at bitcoin and they ask about what is bitcoin? why is the bitcoin price too expensive to buy? and then it attracted them to search in the search engine and they found that bitcoin can help them to make money on the internet. besides that, people already know about gold and they don't know much about bitcoin and this is why they keep searching the information related to bitcoin and the cryptocurrency.

yes no doubt if more people look for bitcoin than gold, because a bitcoiner do sometimes stay relaxed. and now many people are reading in the news online, about the emergence of new rich people who earn their income from bitcoin, it also affects people curious about what bitcoin is.
It only means that people nowadays are interested about the new trend of investments and business which is bitcoin. Hence, it is now the in-demand investment and the highest paid return of investments if your luckily get that high paid of return of investments and above all bitcoin can be considered as a new form of gold so there's no doubt why there's a lot of people who choose to surf bitcoin than gold. I would like to think that the reason behind this is that, with bitcoin there is still a lot of things that people need to catch up on. What is the cryptocurrency market, how it all began, what are the different cryptocurrencies, what is bitcoin and why does it have value. This are the questions that I think fill the acerage person when he or she encou ters anything about the cryptocurrency. To me that is what makes it a search item than gold as we already know what it is

I perceive the demand for Bitcoin is as a result of anticipated increase in demand especially as we inch towards the Football world cup event slated for Russia through June and July 2018.
Even travel agencies are now so willing to accept cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin for travel bookings. Even hotels have concluded discussions with payment systems to ease the use of Bitcoin payments in hotels and Bars.
Usually in big sporting events like this Betting especially online, increases and there are online betting sites already accepting the use of Bitcoin. I percieve that more uses and application for Bitcoin use will come up during and immediately after the game, like selling of Branded national T-shirts and other paraphernalia.
Hence the immediate future for Bitcoin and other Crytocurrencies look bright and thus the high demand.

Nothing special around here. I just that a lot of people are really considering investments as a means of escaping poverty. Maybe a lot of curious folks actually search ways to acquire or invest in bitcoins because it's pretty much easier compared to buying gold.

Its true Bitcoin was most trending searched keyword on Google comparing to Gold, Silver, Cryptocurrency and US Dollar from the date 26 November 2017 to 24 December 2017

That is for sure, Gold is good investment too but Bitcoin and other altcoin are trend right now. There is higher risk but you can make more profit.
