Not 100% relevant to the Greek Super League, but did you see yesterday's match of Greece vs Georgia? @alani123, it was such a disaster. The game lasted over 2 hours and finally ended in penalties with a score of 4-2. Our national team has failed to qualify for the European semi-finals, it wasn't a good match, there were plenty of failed goal attempts from our side.

It's been a while since this thread was updated. I was away for vacations and then returned sick, took me quite a while to get started again. No matches for this weekend, but I'll go ahead and post the upcoming weekend's matchday.

Some interesting matches right there, but I'm not sure if they're worth betting over. I'd be willing to bet over OFI vs. Atromitos, even though I've been burned a few times with OFI as well, Panathinaikos vs. PAOK is a match I'd rather stay neutral, Aris vs. Lamia, I'd say Aris has greater chances, AEK vs. Olympiakos, I'll also stay neutral with this one as well. The rest are quite meh and not worth the risk, at least in my opinion.

What do you think?

Seems like we hit our 1.4 odds on the AEK Lamia match!

Now for the matches on the play-out round that are on March 16... I'm too unsure. I was thinking waiting it out entirely before making any serious bets again on the next play-off match day but... Let's just take a shot...

I've been burned too many times betting on an OFI win. But if I bet on there being more than 2 goals I think I won't lose even if OFI loses. Let's see.  Cheesy

Yup you're right I got it wrong too.

Indeed, this weekend isn't as promising as the previous ones. I'm guessing you meant OFI vs. Kifisia, not Lamia, am I right? I'd consider OFI vs. Kifisia. I suppose it's a nice idea to support the local team, but money is money, and it's likely to end in disappointment. It's quite unclear who's going to win, as both teams share similar performances in the Super League. I'm also leaning towards AEK vs. Lamia for now, and I'll perhaps reconsider OFI, depending on the odds.
I'm hoping for an exciting play off season and for once it's good to see someone other than Olympiakos monopolizing the Greek super league tournament as well as qualificaiton to international tournaments. But from what I saw the team's owner is extremely salty for the outcomes so far. Perhaps in the playoffs they'll be pushing hard for a comeback. But it'll surely be hard after such a non-impressive season for them. Panathinaikos also fucked up in the last few matches before playoffs.

Yeah the playoff format gives so many big matches for the super league. Panathinaikos Olympiakos matches this season however were not that impressive to be honest. Hopefully the playoffs will make up for it.

As of the OFI Lamia match, I don't know. The odds seem too uncertain to draw a conclusion.

I'm not that inspired to take many bets this match day. I think I'll stick to just this bet:

Either AEK scores a lot, or receives a goal but still wins. I think over 1.75 is a safe enough choice for 1.4 odds.

So here's the play-off schedule

It's interesting to see these matches having come out of a draw because some very interesting matchups came out of it.

First off, Panathinaikos with Olympiakos on the first match? Whoah haha. Derby of the eternal enemies again! We already got it so many times this season because aside of just superleague matches there was also the Greek cup. Now the play off format gives us another. Maybe it becomes tiring after a certain point though.

Other interesting matches are PAOK with Aris. And from the big teams AEK seems to have it the easiest.
Wow, Panathinaikos vs. Olympiakos, the eternal rivals of the Greek Super League; it'll be a hell of a match, and certainly one I'm going to stay neutral for my own sake. I'm more confident that Olympiakos is going to win, but I'd rather not take any sides. AEK vs. Lamia looks like a safe bet. I'd also consider going for PAOK vs. Aris, supporting PAOK, but they're both great-performing teams, and the outcome can hardly be predictable.

What's your take regarding OFI vs. Kifisia? Both have had decent performances in the past few matches. I'm more optimistic about OFI, but it sounds like a risky option if you ask me. This weekend doesn't look as fruitful as the previous ones.

So today the league's results will be officiated and a little later there will be a draw to see how games will go in the play off round. The Greek super league holds a hybrid format where the top teams in the rankings after the first phase are put against each other for the league's title as well as spots in champion's league, Europa league and the conference league.

Also the bottom teams battle each other to avoid relegation.

AEK Athena vs Aris ended in 3 - 3 draw and this match was really quite surprising because AEK Athena, which is big and quite strong team, failed to win the match, from this draw, PAOK was able to top the standings.
PAOK itself in the match against Asteras Tripolis managed to win with score of 2 - 1 and they got full points in this match, PAOK could have experienced draw but Asteras Tripolis received 2 red cards which made their performance really bad.
Match between the top 2 team was really quite interesting and of course this match resulted in shift in position with still narrow margin, I sure AEK Athena really felt disappointed at failing to get full points in their match.
Competition will continue and we will see perhaps more interesting results later.
Do you mean Panserraikos vs Asteras Tripolis? Because PAOK was playing against Lamia.
Damn what an adventurous fucking matchday!

I can't help but wonder how Panathinaikos didn't win against OFI. I surely wasn't expecting that.
Thankfully we won our other bets which was betting on a PAOK win and on an over 1.75 bet on the Aris - AEK match.

We're waiting now for the play-off and the play-out matchups to be placed.

Meanwhile I'm considering starting to track the success of past picks in this thread. Working on an excel now Cheesy
It was indeed one; thankfully, I didn't go ahead and bet on Panathinaikos vs. OFI because it looked too risky; however, I wasn't expecting a draw. The other two matches went great, though, with PAOK winning against Lamia with a score of 2-0 and Olympiakos vs. Volos 3-0. AEK vs. Aris was an interesting one as well. As I had mentioned in my previous post, both teams had great performances over the past matches. Even though AEK is first in the Super League standings, I wasn't confident in making a bet.

AEK Athena as the top of the standings seems to be in an unfavorable condition because they have to compete with PAOK in maintaining their top position because their difference is only 1 point.
Indeed it's a tough last match for AEK because Aris is a very decent team. In the event that AEK loses or even ends up in a tie with Aris it's possible that their spot as first could be overtaken very easily by PAOK. If they lose Panathinaikos could be also coming in a tie in points with them in the first place, which will be judged by other metrics such as goals.

I was about to post this weekend's match, but you already have. There are a few interesting matches that are worth betting on, such as PAOK vs. Lamia, which you already mentioned; Olympiakos vs. Volos; and possibly AEK vs. Aris. Although AEK has the first position in the Super League, nothing is guaranteed, and Aris' performance is quite decent as well. The rest of them seem like a lost cause to me, and betting on them seems risky. Although I also support OFI, I'm going to stay neutral this time. I'd rather not lose money just because it's our local team. Panathinaikos is most likely to win, judging by their standing.

Indeed I think Panathinaikos and PAOK have easier matches for their last match compared to AEK which is facing Aris who are considered one of the bigger and more historical teams in Greece. It'll be an interesting faceoff for all teams but still Aris doesn't have much to gain from this. Their point difference is too big to enter into a better position. Still fighting for Valor they would still push for a win IMO because winning against the first team in the standings counts a lot.

Good to see we won the last picks. Well at least in the Asian total got 1.50 of the payout. I think we're on a roll

Another matchday coming soon:

Well many matches are condensed in a short period of time in the last few days. The Greek Super League will soon be entering in the play-off/play-out phase, but we're at a point where it's crucial to see who could finish first. It's a fierce competition at this point between AEK and PAOK, with PAOK only being first by a single point. It's certainly an interesting year in the Greek Super League.

But let's see what's worth betting on this day imo.

So I'll say that I can't be 100% certain if AEK will win against Aris but I'm very confident there will be many goals as both teams tend to score in their matches lately:

PAOK having 1.37 odds against Lamia sounds good to me.

And lastly, as much as I like OFI, I feel like Panathinaikos is going to take an easy win here. In spite of Panathinaikos having taken a fluke recently, not winning a match that was supposed to be easy, I think this one will be easy for them.

And this is condition where AEK Athena can be evicted at any time if they make mistake.
Competition at the top of the standings is very fierce and of course we will see how PAOK tries to gain an advantage and get full points and AEK Athena tries to maintain stable and more consistent performance.
Previously, they also met and the game was very intense, which shows that the quality of play of the two teams was really even in possession of the ball and also in attack, this match also ended in draw.
In the future, they will face several matches against lower teams and it is still possible for them to continue to win and save full points.
Making AEK Athens and PAOK favorites in every match they play seems to be able to give us various benefits in the future.

Soooo! For the last match day both of my picks were successful. Cool

AEK won against Lamia

And PAOK won against Panetolikos

Alright, the next matchday is in just a couple of days! Grin

So we'll have to make our picks fast this time.

I'm looking over at the Panaitolikos vs Olympiacos match, with odds of 1.38 for an Olympiacos win:

I think this is a good pick for these odds. Panaitolikos only has 19 points this season so far while Olympiakos has 50 so 1.38 for betting on a far superior team winning is good enough for me.

This time I also feel like making a different kind of bet though! On the Aris vs Panathinaikos match, I'm of the belief that there will be many goals scored:

Speaking of standings:

We're at an interesting point where 3 teams could be contesting the top spot in this very matchday, with Olympiacos also being just 5 points away from the top spot. If one of the top three teams faces a mishap like Panathinaikos did in the last matchday and ended up just getting a tie, we could see some overtakes.
I'm placing a bet on 1.75 Over based on the fact that in the last few matches both teams have been scoring, plus both teams are high in the rankings so they're highly motivated to win.
It was a fruitful weekend, and the next one seems to be one too. Olympiakos vs. Panetolikos is a decent pick; however, Giannina vs. AEK seems like the real deal; there's no way they're going to lose to Giannina; AEK is at 1st place and Giannina at 12th. I'm also confident about PAOK vs. Panserraikos and a little curious about OFI vs. Volos; both teams haven't performed their best in the last 5 matches. Although OFI has 24 points and Volos has 17, standing at 8th and 13th positions, respectively, this match is far from predictable; I'd say the outcome will be a draw.

Thanks for posting this week's match day schedule!

So yeah, indeed it was a very unfortunate match between Panathinaikos and Lamia but oddly enough Panathinaikos went on to win against PAOK and is now on the Greek Cup's final...
It'll be an interesting matchday now as a lot is to be decided for the rankings.

I too think betting on OFI this time is a reasonable pick.

I think however my picks for this week will be to bet on a victory for AEK against Lamia

and a victory for PAOK against Panaitolikos

Odds around 1.4 for matches that are more on the safe side seem like good picks to me at these odds. I think the rest have too much risk for the reward they provide.
You're welcome!

I don't recall seeing about Panathinaikos vs. PAOK; it was a little frustrating to lose to Lamia and win against PAOK, but as I've mentioned in my previous post, no team can perform at their best in every single match. The odds on the matches you mentioned are quite decent, especially if you take into account that they're almost guaranteed wins. These two, along with OFI, are the ones I'm going to opt for this week; the rest seem meh, not worth the extra risk, and the odds aren't that great either, in comparison with the required risk.

I unfortunately bet in favor of Panathinaikos, and well, you saw the outcome. Fortunately, I also bet on AEK vs. Kifisia and OFI vs. Panserraikos, so I minimized my losses through these two matches. Good thing you didn't bet on Panathinaikos as well. Good call. This weekend is also quite interesting, with decent earning opportunities and competitive matches.

I'm going for Giannina vs. OFI. I'm not sure how Giannina performs, but I'm going to support OFI as a local team. The match seems to have reasonable odds as well. Olympiakos vs. Asteras Tripolis seems like a walk in the park, along with PAOK vs. Panetolikos. I'm going to refrain from betting on Panathinaikos vs. Kifisia this time. Even though it's likely for Panathinaikos to win, I'd rather not go for it due to the previous outcome.
