what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?
Agree, grinmint is fine, apart from the rewards payout.
It reports a lower graph rate, than any other pool - using with the same hardware.
I would love to support it also (being the official), but I will go for the most shares.
You can check this difference for yourself, if you switch pool of course.
the pool reported rate tends to wander, thats for sure. right now here is what the pool vs bminer say:

win10 rig (1070/1070ti/1080ti) around 80% PL
pool: 15.6 g/s
bminer: 14.3 g/s

ubuntu rig (1080ti) 100% PL (stock)
pool: 5.6 g/s
bminer 7.9  7.1 g/s

go figure. but since im lazy and grinmint works i just stay.

Yeah, but it's also like 30% faster on your 2080ti dude!!!

Not 30% faster for GRIN. bminer is actually faster after comparing the two.

NB-Miner was a full 1 G/s slower compared to bminer on the 2080ti.

Yes!!! It's for Bytom or something.
My bad, sorry.

Nevertheless, it's trying to optimize Turing card special features. Bminer is still the fastest ATM.
I would keep an eye on this one if where you.

been at grinmint since day one. no problems at all with payouts that were not of my own making. i payout via email to my own wallet. wallet and node are on a ubuntu 18.04LTS machine.

using bminer 14.1 in both a win10 1709 and the Ubuntu rig.

If I'm not mistaken, that screenshot is getting 17 G/s via two 2080ti's.

Just launched nbminer, and it would appear that bminer is more optimal so far, for the 2080ti.

I don't know, I saw on the link I sent you the other day that screenshot and report, and send it for you to try and verify.
I don't own a 2080ti, but their latest version supposedly gives a special boost to Turing cards (2080ti).

Judging by https://miningpoolstats.stream/grin-c29 it seems that grinmint is the place to go.

Can anyone speak to that pool having stabilized, and no longer having payout issues ?

Bob try sparkpool ffs dude, & if you don't like it THEN switch to grinmint.
Just don't bind it to exchange. It has 1 Grin minimum withdraw.

Did you try the miner?

by Wednesday -15%, maybe by Thursday -20%

Thanks. I was thinking of the exact opposite.

I'm not satisfied with GRIN's price until it's on the top50 on the long-term and top100 on the short-term.

Even in the top100 there are so many projects with identity-crisis Grin
Having a clear purpose and goal is essential... and GRIN has that. Then comes how much does the world really needs a project which such a goal; that's up for personal assessment.

I've made a detailed comparison between Ravencoin and GRIN before but maybe we should also compare it to Dogecoin since DOGE has infinite supply.
I'm not able to compare the two in detail right now, but seeing how DOGE is 25th in market cap and enjoys a healthy volume, I'd say my short-term goal of top100 for GRIN, a more advanced and hyped project than what DOGE is right now, is very realistic.

For at least the 100th position to be reached, GRIN must reach 13$.
I'm really curious why so many people predict huge price drops... I know that big miners aren't the greatest friends of a coin, but at the very least their greed should make them HODL a bit at those levels.

Help is on it's way:

Nicehash for Grin is now available.

I'm seeing this as a disservice to GRINs price, my prediction is that GRINs price will fall

People who don't have mining hardware, mine using Nicehash on a pool of their choice.
That said, ATM it is more profitable to mine on your own, compared to Nicehash or similar.

Actually it's very expensive:

10 G/s will get you ~0.34 Grin daily for c29, so for 1kG/s it would be ten times that, i.e. 34 Grin per day & after 10 days your contract is filled (~340 Grin).
You also have to consider the rising difficulty.
With 1BTC you get ~640 Grin at this time of writting.

Bitforex *might* be legit.

I counted about 2,000 Grin traded last hour and they are reporting 100k per day which is an average of 4K per hour.

kucoin has to grow more volume soon and fast https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/grin

Well, HotBit and QBTC is 100% faking their volume and my personal opinion is that BitForex is also faking their volume, though I'm not sure.
I don't know about Gate.io neither.

KuCoin is high enough in volume if they don't fake any of it. What we need is an overall awareness for GRIN and then real volume will appear in reputable exchanges.
