95% refund like we spoke about in the thread so that i dont sit on the cost and work of the groupbuy.

95% of total order value? i vote for 100% of chip order value, and you keep the 9% markup you collected as that was for your services..
Or was there a vote about this?

Its ok, 5% is enough. I did the work but the 9% were for a successful Mining gear. So i dont want to be greedy now. But thanks for support... Wink
In case someone will give more i have a donation yar in my sig always...  Tongue

So, are we getting 100% of chip order value back, and you keep the 9% extra (that you have already collected)? or are you taking 5% of the refund amounts coming in?
thats quite a markup..

Important! Please remember... i dont make a last appointment, i will ask for refund as soon as a refund is possible because more than 5000 chips in a batch should be refunded. But please remember that we dont have time forever to do this. It looks like Yifu will get 40 batches on wednesday and he will ship them. So theres the chance that all not refunded batches will be shipped then. When we ask late for a refund it could be too late because of that.
Only a reminder!

I believe loyal followers of this forum would asked for a refund should be refunded ASAP and
also loyal followers who what to keep there chips should be be on the chip list right away.
Work it down from there
It`s Difficult call for Sebastian and not everyone going to be pleased with the outcome whatever it maybe,
 but this way everyone who has been here on a daily basis can be first served first and get back to BUSINESS ASAP !
Best of luck Seb

Thats what i want to do. First comes first serves. The latecomers have to stick if they are part of a batch with >5000 or <5000 chips and have to take the chips or dont get chips.
I cant do more than reminding the people by pm and email. If thats not helping i dont know how to change this.

As long as I can get my chips I'm happy Smiley

I might buy some extra from people who want a refund but were too late.

To be clear again about the process of refunding. I asked now for refund of 4 batches since there are 35869 chips that want to be refunded. So the fourth batch is >50% for refund. The sixth batch cant be refunded.

It doesnt matter what batch i refund and in what batch your order is. All buyers without refund request are moved into batches with chips. So refund of batch 3 doesnt mean all batch 3 buyers are refunded. See next paragraph.

The priority for refund is the following. In the order of refund requests coming in the refunds are processed. All buyers that didnt ask for refund will get chips from other batches. Which means we have around 4000 chips that are open to be asked for refund, any more cant be refunded except we reach the point that >5000 more chips want to be refunded which means another batch gets a refund.
So when, for example the sixth batch and the first batch is not refunded and less chips are wanted, in this case less than 16000, then the members that did ask for refund the last cant get a refund, they get the chips. That is because i cant split a batch. I only can decide whether >5000 chips should be refunded -> i ask for a refund or <5000 chips, then the batch gets delivered.

If someone has to keep chips he dont want or doesnt get chips he want then i think there might be the possibility to trade in forum, maybe with other members from other groupbuys too.

Im sorry but i doubt a more perfect solution is available.

Regarding Refund. We received 3 refunds and i asked for a fourth but didnt receive it yet. I have to think about whats fairest way to refund. Let me know your thoughts. I would refund the customers in the order of their refund request. That would mean 30000 chips could be refunded now. 95% refund like we spoke about in the thread so that i dont sit on the cost and work of the groupbuy. When the fourth batch gets refunded i refund the other 5869 chips and 4131 other chips can be refunded as soon as someone asks for it.

Any suggestions?

The actual numbers are:

3 batch refunded 30000 chips
1 batch asked for refund 10000 chips
6473 want keep
36201 want refund
13326 undecided

Here's the new deal,

The form will extend to orders made before the 22nd, which is exatly 10 weeks. and every order after, on the date it is suppose to ship, we'll send out a email asking if a refund is desired.

I think "on the date it is suppose to ship" should read "on the date it is supposed to be shipped by if order has not been fulfilled".
Meaning refunds are only available if the batch is late.

That's not what he said, but you can read it like that.

Though batch 6 cant be refunded anyway.

Isn't this changed tonight? Yifu posted this:

It clearly says: Before any order after June 22nd is shipped you will be emailed asking if you still want that batch. Simply say you don't. Sebastian, please read Yifu's post once more, don't let us sit with unwanted chips from batch #6 because of simple misunderstanding.

I read it meaning all batches which are late can be refunded,
but not before 10 weeks have gone from the order date.

Avalon will send e-mail the day 10 weeks have gone from ordering.
Hopefully Yifu's code now can count 10 weeks  Roll Eyes

Code:
2013-07-07: Batch 6 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-09-15 ---> + 15 days
2013-06-13: Batch 5 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-08-22 ---> - 10 days
2013-05-27: Batch 4 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-08-05 ---> - 28 days
2013-05-23: Batch 3 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-08-01 ---> - 32 days - refunded - 2013-09-01
2013-05-18: Batch 2 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-07-27 ---> - 36 days - refunded - 2013-09-01
2013-05-11: Batch 1 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-07-20 ---> - 43 days - refunded - 2013-09-01

Refunds are noted in a way - first in, first out - so shipping delay can be calculated fairly.

I think it's more like this, no?

Code:
2013-07-07: Batch 6 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-09-15 ---> + 15 days
2013-06-13: Batch 5 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-08-22 ---> - 10 days - refunded - 2013-09-01
2013-05-27: Batch 4 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-08-05 ---> - 28 days - refunded - 2013-09-01
2013-05-23: Batch 3 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-08-01 ---> - 32 days - refunded - 2013-09-01
2013-05-18: Batch 2 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-07-27 ---> - 36 days
2013-05-11: Batch 1 ordered - Expected date of arrival (10 weeks) - 2013-07-20 ---> - 43 days

It doesn't matter, it counts how many chips want to be kept and I made a note how refunds are counted.
Anyway Avalon will be shipping what remained by Wednesday next week.

I read it meaning all batches which are late can be refunded,
but not before 10 weeks have gone from the order date.

I read it differently. Batch #6 is supposed to be shipped on Wednesday, September 4th. Before it is shipped, batch owner will receive email with question if refund is wanted. Sebastian (or Zefir, whoever formally ordered the chips) have to answer YES according to what we voted, otherwise we are fucked up with worthless chips in our hands!

Supposed to ship != shipping date.

English is not my first language, but there's a difference about something supposed to be happening versus something happening.

I absolutely don't get what you want to say. BitSynCom said "on the date it is suppose to ship", I've said "supposed to be shipped" and you than say "Supposed to ship != shipping date." OFC that is not the same, whenever that day comes when chips are supposed to be shipped, be it September 4th or some later date, group buyer will have the option to cancel the order and claim refund for batch #6. Is it what Yifu said or not?

Edit: got it from another post, sorry for misunderstanding.

Exception to this is batch #6 which is ordered trough zefir, and I don't know what will happen to it.
Anyway it doesn't matter as it seems for those chips that will be shipped, will be shipped together with other batches (if any).

We can get refund for  6 bath

Anyhow, If people think I'm trying to screw the people who ordered from 15th to the 22th of June that is just silly, and false in their assumption. Here's the new deal,

The form will extend to orders made before the 22nd, which is exatly 10 weeks. and every order after, on the date it is suppose to ship, we'll send out a email asking if a refund is desired.

While I have no problems issue refunds, compensating for delay and such, I got no patience for people complaining when their orders are not late. Not too surprisingly, the people complaining the loudest are people whose order are not late yet(so more people refund and they can get their chips earlier maybe?), and people who have no orders(standard trolls of bitcointalk).

Most people who have chip orders are much more understanding to the situation, whom are either taking refunds, or working out some sort of compensation model.
