Dogie you seem to know a lot about PSUs, will the Raidmax RX850-AE work okay with 2x S3+ as well ? I might have one of those. I dont think its as good as the corsair but will it be good enough ?

It'll be cutting it close, the RX850 has 4x12V rails and only a 730W rating between them. On paper it'll do it but weird things happen on multi rail PSUs.

Then sure, get a watt meter, check at the wall what the draw is at, quick calculation would suggest you keep the draw at the wall at 670 or under to keep the load at 80%~ for maximum PSU life time. Then raise or lower the clock from there.

If the PSU has a long warranty, then knock yourself out up to 760-800Watts at the wall. Thats what i do with my EVGA G2's. Run them at the wall what their rating is, i mean. A bit higher sometimes.

Not really, you'd be over 90% of the psu's rated capacity even with underclocked S3s. It might work for a little while, but the psu is going to run hot and not be as efficient and probably burn out quickly.

He's actually okay, since the rated watt is not at the wall its how much it can feed.

A notch or two under stock would do it "to be safe". I think the best would be to get 850-1050 EVGA G2, personally i prefer the 7-10 years warranty over 0-1% more efficiency, also cheaper.
Then you could run two full speed with slight overclock if you're so inclined to.

I need help setting up this machine.

Currently I have it connected through WIFI as a client. I am wondering if it's possible to use the LAN port on the machine and run it to a switch so I can connect other miners to the switch and it will relay the wifi traffic thru the lan port. I will setup all machines through the lan port to the switch as a Static ip, if that helps out any.. I know its possible to do this, I am just having a hard time getting it to route through. I need to know specifics such as if the lan port needs to have it's own IP address (managed or unmanaged) and how to bridge them and firewall/routing information. The Wifi is setup right now with a Static IP address on a 10.0.0.x ip range

Summary ------
3 S3 ant-miners. one is WiFi connected as well as going to a switch with a cable, other two will be connected via LAN port to the switch. And a few other miners using a Raspberry PI. I'm just trying to route the Wifi traffic through the LAN port to the switch so the other miners have connectivity.

Soooo..... simple

S3 is an enclosed push pull configuration so while you might be reducing temps on one point on the board, you'll likely hinder cooling overall.

It is clear that when "lan" part is deleted, there is no way reset would correct it. So you have to unbrick it. It can be done 2 ways: through serial port, or through icsp port. Here is link how to do it through serial port: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitmain-s3-serial-connect-889206

I use icsp-port,but that way you need a programmer for that pic. Serial programming needs just cp2102.
Edit: I checked,it's (serial port) called debug-port in PCB. 3-pins.

If its on older firmware, then the factory reset won't work and the controller is bricked. Have look what firmware versions are on the other two miners and report back.

I think there is a way to unbrick it and hopefully someone can help you with that. In either case, i recommend you start your own thread in Beginners & Help to get better, more concise support.

In the case that become unmanageable, just a S3 controller should be purchasable for fairly cheap.

That's correct for a stock S3. Public Google DNSes are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.. Have you ever connected to this S3? What happened since?

OK It works with the settings above.
I had to repair the wireless connection while being connected to the S3.
It was showing a conflict and actually I deleted the LAN and reinstalled it.
I was messing with it too much and broke it. Cheesy

Let me explain:
I connect to the internet through a wireless thumb drive.
I am trying to hook a single S3 miner up to my LAN to mine with it
through the Wireless USB Internet Connection.
Is that possible?

I guess I am ignorant.
I see there is a wireless option in the LAN settings on my S3.
Can I connect directly to the Wireless network?
Heck I never knew the S3 had this capability!
Never hooked an S3 up through the WAN so could use a newbie help guide please.

Or am I mistaken and there is no Wireless capability...

Oh nevermind, look at your temps. You've hit the 80C cutoff so mining will stop. If you're sure that the overheating was a one off then you can reset the miner via the PSU. If not, you need to find out why its overheating.
