Does anyone know if the hashrate of the SP30 is less than the advertised hashrate on 110v like the SP10?  If so, by how much?

It will be less, but its hard to know by how himuch. I would guess between 7% and 20%, hopefully closer to 7% like sp10

I get 1.33 th/s on 110v.  I use the medium settings.
The miner runs great on 110v, very stable and cool.

Does anyone know if the hashrate of the SP30 is less than the advertised hashrate on 110v like the SP10?  If so, by how much?

BTW, when will a home edition of the SP30 come out?  I read somewhere it will be a single PSU/half the hash rate of the full SP30.

Thanks.

There was a group buy of an SP-15, but AFAIK it was cancelled because nobody was interested.

Run a Bitcoin node.
Could someone post a video/audio of SP10 running so that we could hear the noise level please.

thank you

I specifically haven't because its 1) impossible to capture 2) impossible to comprehend with a video. Use a decibelometer to comapre other sounds you know
I agree with dogie on this. However, I have taken a video of my SP10 along with an S2, an S1, and a Jupiter. The only sound you hear is the SP10 basically.

Here are the videos (aka "how to silence your SP10"):

You can remove the cap while on 120V as its just software based. I have no idea what it looks like though.

Please let us know if you find out how.  I ssh'd into the box and looked at the files but couldn't find anything.  If it's not in a text config file then it's over my head.

Oh it would be on the usual web interface, if its not there then its probably been hidden. The problem is the firmware is being developed at a rapid pace so things change and move faster than I can track them.

I can add option, but
1) It is not FCC compliant to pull that much.
2) I didn't do enough tests on 110V to make sure it will not harm the PSU/cables/socket. In general 110V is something I prefer not to mess with because of the heat it can create in power cables.

Please do testing and give us the hash rate for those who are on 110v on future products.  Not everyone is on a 240v standard. Sad

Dogie, is 1250 GH/s reported on BTCGuild (1320 GH/s avg on the miners) @ 25C normal for us 120v users?  One of them is only hovering around 1305 (1215 on BTCGuild).

I'm kinda disappointed at these numbers.  These are expensive units and makes a lot of noise.  Was willing to put up with it if I could get 1.4 TH.  I didn't know they had to limit it.  Should have advertised as 1.3 TH to 1.4 TH.  Can't help but feel a bit cheated/baited.
Ignore btcguild, pool hash rates are always variable. It depends what clock rate you're in, if you haven't looked in detail then you've still got the 120V FCC cap on. You need to remove that to remove the cap of power consumption which will allow your unit to hit the higher clock modes.

How do you remove the cap?

As for contacting Spondoolies, they worked out a form of compensation.  Very good communication and customer service!

I'm not quite sure as it detects your mains voltage and will show it then - I'm 240V so can't see it.

Well, I'm on 120v, that's why I have the cap.  I thought you meant I could remove the limitation while still on a 120v circuit.  I thought I read someone was able to do that with an older firmware or hardware.

I don't have a 240v mains I can easily use.  Even if I wanted to it may not work since it's 60 Hz.  My guess is the PSU expects 120v 60 Hz or 240v 50Hz.

The numbers shown in miner are usually 1-3% higher then the pool. That is because of the HW errors and discarded shares.
HW errors more common when miner starts (first 30 minutes) and can be up to 3%, but after a while usually around 1%. Discarded shares usually around 0.5%.

Anybody know if they will discount the price on total order of 4 SP10 units?

Thanks

Rob

Unlikely on SP10s any more, you can email them though.
