We need guns to protect out families our property. If someone comes into your house illegally and you don't have a weapon what are you going to do hit him ...

Generallly we don't need to have a gun. It is not a basic needs to live. However, some people want it for self protection in times of emergency. Some people carry gun for self defense mostly people who are politicians.
We are living the most peaceful times in human history, yet there are people killed by the dozens every day. Guns and weapons are meant to "protect" but are used as means to "eradicate". Why do we need guns? What do you think?
For me i don't need gun for my self as long as I don't make troubles to other people I believe in myself that I'm confident just always put a trust to god
guns are not always a good security solution for ourselves or others.the gun will cause a new problem if we can not use it wisely and well.
in some countries that legalize the gun as a personal safety weapon or as a general consumption has caused many acts of violence or murder by someone or group who feel more power because of having the gun.
so, I think personal use of the gun as a personal safety has not been too in need, more intensive education is still needed about the use of pistols and policies of good and proper rules in each country that legalize the use of pistols.

In this modern world, People do not need to have any gun to protect themselves. The only thing the humanity needs to protect themselves is a good mindset for sure.

As for my self I don't need gun for my self defense gun for me is a toy for evil because you can kill people in case if trouble

I think and for my own perspective , These days weve heard a lot news by various crimes around the globe. The main reason why we must have a gun to not play around or to shoot somebody or should I say your worst enemy someting like that. Reason why need gun to protect oursleves incase of emergency , and also help someone who needed. And I suggest who reading this , or if you have a gun be responsible all the time , and use it for a reason not for fun.
So they can gain wealth by destroying other.
gun is a very dangerous weapon. so only elite should have it especially business man just to protect themselves. but make sure they have a license and permit to carry in case they have it.

I think we don't need guns or weapon which can damage other people. If we live in the peace country, i think we shouldn't need that. The people who have gun is must have ability to do that and have responsibility to use gun. Gun shouldn't give to all people because it can threatening and endagering the peace of society. Gun is one of the potential killer. If someone has gun and she/he feel angry and can't control her/his emotion, so she/he can do violence which harmful other people (people can do agressively if they have gun/ weapon). Gun can help increase the criminal action, like murder, robbery, suicide.
So, not every human can have gun but only the person who have license and have responsibility. Use gun wisely and carefully, so the peace in the world always exist.

However, studies show that if someone in a household owns a gun, there is a very high risk that the person who will get hit by that same gun lives in the same house. Thus, gun ownership should undergo a very thorough process.
What we need is for the violent people to be removed from society permanently when they show they don't respect others homes and property. If they didn't didn't break into someone else house, there wouldn't be a problem.

The truth is that many people are evil and misuse guns which are only tools. The reason we have laws is to protect honest hardworking people from the evil people who don't follow the laws no matter how many are written. The 2nd Amendment is what keeps all the other Amendments standing!

We need guns because military conflicts mean money, we need them for oil, for political influences in underdeveloped countries and the sad list goes on...
We don't need them. Weapons is evil.
Peoples still have guns to protect the family, because with them feel safer,but many of them have guns as souvenirs or gifts in my in my case so,as long as thay used guns for the right purposes is good,but many used guns in criminal cases,government must do something to prevent guns falling into the wrong hands.
Some will say to protect ourselves, others for war , if we didn't have guns , we wouldn;t have war , or problems with people !:@
