Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it.

Would like to mine it on nicehash using smos. Anyone out there doing that ?

-a NIST5 -o stratum+tcp://nist5.hk.nicehash.com:3340 -u 1MeNT9pFtQvQ9BNzHrtbnSNwVE9WjeLjmW.$rigName -p x

Use any of the ccminer at smos -- hopefully smos include alexis ccminer version soon, which is fastest ccminer variant in mining NIST5

10180tis best for NIST5

For non-1080tis, neoscrypt is most profitable currently.

What was the fix?

reloaded from the start with a newer win 10 image.

i had an old image and even after the long update with a test boot  it then failed once nvidia was loaded.

but I have a newer image and when it updated it had very few updates and did it okay.

Probably Bulwark for Nist5; I know it was quite hot for awhile and appears to still be in that profit range right now. There are a few other equally or more profitable coins today but not nearly as many as 2 weeks ago when there were a few coins with a daily profit over $20 each (GTX 1080 Ti).

Which coin(s) give this kind of return cira $10/day?

Nist on Nicehash has bounced into that range IRregularly the last couple weeks for a single 1080 ti.
No idea what the associated coin(s) might be.

Been running 8 RX570 for over 3 weeks now , rock stable both windows and Linux , pulling around 800W for ETN and 1000-1050W for ETH . keeping it on ETN for the past two weeks because i have no forced ventilation yet .

not all amd, mine is mixed: i have 2x470s and a 460 on my d8p (other cards are 2x1080ti, 1070ti, 1070)
runs fine, fwiw

I have the onda 6 board not the 8 but it has been running flawless for about 2 months now. I have 4 x vega56 and 2 x rx570 on it. Only thing I had to do was patch the drivers on the 570's after bios flash.
9000h/s @ 700w.

Thanks for your reports guys, sounds pretty encouraging. I guess I will order a batch of these boards then.

You had better do it today, they're about to shut down for the CNY.  After that, boards won't ship until March.  Good luck!

Guys, can you give me your opinion on the following please? I'm going to help a friend build his first mining rig. He got the Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A board. I gave him the entire list of components (including an HDMI dummy plug). Unfortunately I didn't realise that board did not have a HDMI video output... but a D-SUB.

So ideally I would like to use the IGFX as signal output to not use any of the mining GPUs for that task. Obviously the HDMI dummy plug won't work. Amazon UK doesn't seem to feature any D-SUB dummy plugs. I've got old VGA dummy plugs that I built myself back in 2014 using capacitors to short the pins and emulate a monitor... but will they fit a D-SUB output?

Any ideas?

The lack of an hdmi port is something i've always hated about a lot of these stripped down miner boards.  I think the vga dummy should fit though.  I would tunnel in without it first.

But why do you need a dummy plug on an H110 motherboard? AFAIK dummy plugs were only needed on the H81's, on all other hardware they are optional (to overcome the 480p display cap on older boards) and even then if you force enable the onboard gfx on the H110 board, display scales 720p.
Ok, I didn't know that. Basically I'm trying to make sure logging into the rig using Teamviewer will not be rez-limited due to the absence of the dummy plug. If it's going to default to 720p I reckon it'll be workable...

Wow has ETH been on a wild ride!  Was watching it all day yesterday... topping out at about $1,230 on GDAX (I broke down and sold 1 at just over $1,200 lol). Then overnight, it crashed all the way down under $980, only to quickly rebound and now be right at the $1,150 mark and possibly headed over $1,200 again.  Thanks to this latest bump, my rx 470's are netting over $3/day... something I never would have thought possible, even 3 months ago!  Granted, it's nowhere near the close to $10/day on the higher end GTX cards, but hopefully i will get on that train very soon.

Hey GabryRox

Which coin(s) give this kind of return cira $10/day?
I have a single 1080 Ti for now
I have attempted XVG ($7/day) ETH ($4/day) SC ($0.5/day) DCRED ($0.5/day)
Pascal, LBRY look to yield the same poor profits sub $1

I have yet to try ZEC, ETC or XMR

Thanks a lot in advance

Have a look at MUN coin.
Dont mine it myself, but its often near the top of the calculators and currently estimating 15/day

nist5  is decent
