Soft cap in Token generation event means the minimum anount of tokens the project need to sell or the minium amount they to make to help put in the project in motion. If they don't raise up to that amount, the project is unsuccessful and funds is returned back to contributors why hardcap is the maximum amount they are looking to raise.

To the simple understanding of someone who is not that much into cryptocurrency, I will say that softcap is just a minimum target of an ICO. It is what the project needs in order to start putting things in place. For hardcap, this is the ultimate goal of the whole token sale.

Soft cap is the amount received at which your crowdsale will be considered a success. It is the minimal amount required by the ICO project to move forward. Hard cap is the maximum amount of money a crowdsale will receive. Most projects set a very high cap that is unlikely to happen, but if it happens it means that the project is a sure thing and it raises the value of the coin they offer.

I think softcap is a light target that determines whether the project continues or not, while hardcap is the main target of a project for which the project can be successful in the future

Hardcap and softcap in cryptocurrency is very important to know. Softcap is the minimum amount of the tokens that must be sold to geenrate their tokens. If an ICo project doesn't hit softcap, commonly they will cancel or extend the ICO. The hardcap is the maximum amounts to be sold during the ICO. It is a very rgeat situation for the ICO so far.

If the token sale is not completed at Soft Cap ( Softcap means the minimum cap for the project). So if the project does not have the investor will die. It determines the existence or failure of the project.
If the sale of Hardcap (Hardcap means the maximum cap of funding) means that the project is very successful attract many investors and great prospects. And your investment will be right.

Soft cap is the lower limit, the minimum amount required for the project is considered. If the project does not reach its soft cap, the team will refund the funds. On the other hand, hard cap is the maximum amount that must be received by crowdsale. Suppose a soft hat could be twenty million and forty million hard hats meant that if the project did not reach twenty million, it would not proceed.

Softcap is the minimum amount need to raise to continue the project while hardcap is the maximum amount need to raise. Softcap and hardcap is always depend in the project but of course better if they reach hardcap for better exchanges and marketing expenses.

Soft cap is the minimum amount of the total investment in a project and Hardcap it the maximum amount of the total investment in the project. They need to reach that soft cap to continue the project and if not reach even that soft cap that means they don't gain the trust of the people to invest on that project.

As both names signifies, the soft cap looks like the project get to halfway, while hard cap symbolises the prime stage any project is to reach.

While Softcap is the lowest investment target to be ready for a project, Hardcap is the investment target that needs to be gathered for the full walk of the project. The project that reaches Hardcap means collecting as much money as can be fully prepared.

achieving a hard cap is an indicator of the great demand of the project among investors, especially if the hard cap is collected very quickly. with the current state of the ico market, it becomes increasingly difficult to assemble a hard cap.
