What is the difference of hard cap to soft cap? Did we base on this if we are going to invest in altcoins? Share your comments.

soft cover is the minimum that should collect the project that it was further developed! The stiff cover is the maximum that a project can assemble! If the hard cover is collected before the deadline, the ICO will be closed early! The hard cover gives you to understand that if the project collected it, the project will be successful, and will definitely be on the stock exchange after the ICO!

As I've known that :
+ Hard Cap is the absolute upper limit a team will take .
+ Soft Cap is typically a lower limit, more like how much a team is aiming to raise.
If a team receives donations exceeding their hard cap, the funds are immediately returned to investors.

These are fundraising goals. Soft cap is the lower limit, the minimal amount required for the project to be considered. If the project does not reach its soft cap, the team will return the funds. On the other hand, hard cap is the maximum amount a crowdsale will receive.

The hard cover is hard and forced work, after which you can rest, and with a soft lid a calm and smooth work.

I look into the extent to which those two, soft cap and hard cap can be reached before going into a bounty campaigns in order not to end up wasting my time. If soft cap most especially is not reached, the project suffers failure from the inception.

soft cap is the minimum of money that needs to be collected in order for the project to go further . A hard cap is a maximum of money. some companies finish the project before the deadline, if the hard cap is assembled earlier.

Hard cap means the maximum amount of capital that it aims to gather while soft cap is a minimal amount of funds needed and aimed at by the project to proceed s planned.  By knowing both hard and soft cap of an ICO is some of statistical information that every investors  should know and transparent projects the one who build the most trust with their community.

If the project does not collect a soft cap, then the tokens must be returned to investors. I know one project, which was originally planned to collect software cap 1000 ETH, and then realized that it would not work and reduced it to 150 ETH and recognized ICO held! It's cheating! Always see how quickly and how much money the project collects.
But there are also ICOs that even though did not reach their softcap but still they continue their project and succeed. It is not always the case if the softcap is reached that they will return the money to investors.

A soft cap is the minimum needed for the project to proceed and a hard cap is the amount that they will accept no more than. For instance a soft cap could be 10 million and a hard cap 30 million meaning if the project does not attain 10 million it will not proceed and also if it reaches 30 million no more can be contributed.

Sure soft cap is the project targeting point during pre sale while hard cap is the project max.

Hard cap and soft both is the fund rising target. hard cap is the maximum amount of fund rising and soft cap is the  minimum amount of fund collection . if any new company reached hard cap then its called the good project becuase its reach the maximum target .

softcap is the minimum target of the project and hardcap is the maximum target of the project. yes, we can decide for investment or not by looking at "softcap" and "hardcap", if the project can reach the softcap, especially hardcap means that the project is good and attracts investors.

I think that the only difference is that the development team will be able to more quickly perform the tasks. Just Hard cover shows that there is a great demand for the project token !

Has anyone noticed how difficult it has become to projects to raise the hard cap? Many even the minimum number of tokens can not sell. I saw only a couple of projects that managed to collect hard cap during the drawdown. I hope that this will be only a temporary phenomenon that manifests itself against the background of the market drawdown.

To know the differnce of the hard cap to soft cap you have to know the meaning of the 2 first so you will understand and know the difference.

Hard Cap
- The hard cap of an ICO means the maximum amount of capital that it aims to gather. Most of the up and coming cryptocurrency projects set the hard cap very high. Most of the set hard caps are unlikely to be reached. But famous or hyped projects do reach it with ease. The hard cap is the number of the maximum capital needed and projects will mostly stop accepting additional funding after the hard cap.

Soft Cap
- The soft cap is the capital amount gathered at which the crowdsale event will be considered successful. It is the minimal amount of funds needed and aimed at by the project to proceed as planned. Most of the projects reach their soft caps because an Initial Coin Offering is currently one of the best ways to kick start a project and to raise capital.

Now lets differentiate the difference of the hard cap and soft cap
- The Hard Cap is the maximum amount of the coin while the soft cap is the minimum amount of the coin.

I think this is a good avenue for beginners to know more about the concept of successful ICOs in general. Anyway, soft caps are the minimum amount of money the project must get to at least make profits for themselves and breakeven their initial investments. Hard caps are the maximum amount an ICO can get out of a pre-sale.

softcap is the initial funding for project development if the project has achieved softcap, then it can grow and hardcap is the maximum funding so that the development of projects with hardcap funds will facilitate development

A hard cap is defined as the maximum amount a crowdsale will receive. Most projects set a very high cap that is unlikely to happen. Only very famous projects like Status or Brave browser have reached its hard cap. A soft cap is the amount received at which your crowdsale will be considered a success. It is the minimal amount required by your project.
