First, a hard cap is a more money than the soft cap in several times. After a moment when the project in ICO sale reached a hard cap, the token will have listened on exchanges. First, it will no TOP markets.

Well, in theory, without getting a soft cap, the project can not work any further, they have to think carefully over this amount, and upon reaching a hard cap they must stop collecting funds and immediately send out their tokens.

Soft Cap is a minimum amount of investments the project needs for the further development and the Hard Cap is a maximum amount of funds the project is going to collect. These are very important critereas when choosing the project to invest - for example, in case the project is very promising and it has a small Hard Cap, it usually means the price will grow in the future.

If the project does not collect a soft cap, then the tokens must be returned to investors. I know one project, which was originally planned to collect software cap 1000 ETH, and then realized that it would not work and reduced it to 150 ETH and recognized ICO held! It's cheating! Always see how quickly and how much money the project collects.

Hardcap is a term used to indicate the maximum number of tokens that will be sold to investors. Hardcap is used for comparison with Softcap, Softcap is the minimum number of tokens sold so the project can be called successful capital mobilization.

The hardcap and the softcap is the identification of an ico in the sale. The softcap is the minimum reach of their fund raising in order to proceed with its project. The hardcap, is the maximum allocation of the token, meaning its max value is sold. Lets say, the softcap of an ico is 5m and the hardcap is 10m. The garnered fund is just 6m, then the project still proceeds because it reaches its softcap. But when they only collected 4m, there is a possibility that the project will not continue, and they return the invested fund to the investor.
You are right, in my experience as an investors, I see people rush to invest in an ICO which is close to reaching it's hard cap.
In post ICO as well, I notice that those project who did reach their hard cap, are usually getting the success.

Of course the project that gathered Hard CAP will be top!  And the faster Hard CAP gathered, the more likely that the tokens will go to the moon!

Softcap should be minimum amount a project can raise in other to start at working on it and hardcarp is the maximum amount need for a project to start developing without delay.  However,  if a project can still reach it's softcap, they can start work on such project while they plan raising more money in the future!

Hard cap is is the maximum amount of money that can simply be collected as a result of ICO campaigns. But you don't need to worry about it..

softcap is the minimum fund needed to undertake a project. while hardcap is the maximum funds that can be obtained for the project. If a hardcap occurs then the coin sold at the time of ICO has been sold, for example an ICO has a total coin of 100 million, 60% (that means 60 million) allocated for sale at ICO then the hardcap is 60 million coins sold.

And I've always wondered why soft cap is so different from hard cap. For example, if soft cap 5 millions and hard cap 35 millions. I think that's too big a difference. Maybe someone will explain to me why this is happening.
Every project has to allocate millions of tokens ,so softcap and hardcap is there target wether they surpass the amount they allocate of the project. Softcap means the minimum fund and hardcap means maximum of fund.

A good project always easily overcomes a soft cap, but few can overcome a hard cap. In which projects I participated, only one collected a hard cap - this is BABB

Soft Cap this is the minimum amount necessary to start an ICO.
Hard Cap this is the amount of money that the team plans to collect.
Investing is best at an early stage. During the pre sale, the biggest discount is on coins. In the end, the discount is less.

Soft cap the minimum amount for the sequence of the project. while the hard cap can be seen as the total allowable figure or amount for the job. many ICO projects have high goals, and in this case the value of a hard cap is difficult to achieve.

hard cap is the highest target in ICO project sales and the soft cap is the lowest target in ICO project sales if both are not achieved between soft cap and hard cap the ICO project fails and will return the funds that investors have invested

for many projects just reach the soft cap (minimum expected) during the ico means to be able to carry out / develop the project and possibly be successful, unfortunately nobody can know before you have to inform about the experience of the team, if they have already done other ico and if the idea of the project seems valid

What is the difference of hard cap to soft cap? Did we base on this if we are going to invest in altcoins? Share your comments.

If more investors coming to invest in ICO project so that the main coin sales target can be achieved. And if the soft cap is reached the next journey has certainly achieved all project ICO is reaching the hard cap. Doing so could make the ICO project can succeed and make the participants could harvest the Kingdom.
