I think it was not about greed, but about making wrong decisions and trying to achieve something quick and easy.

This is how I see romero121 loosing his balance: he has began to play and started loosing. Instead of stopping or trying to play back lost amount with several bets, he thought that if he bets more, then he would get back to starting balance quicker. Then he lost again. Then he has increased bet again and etc.
I agree with what you said, Romero121 wanted to reverse the loss in the wrong situation because he was being hit by emotions from the first defeat. this tends to make him lose concentration and do things unexpectedly. from this maybe we can draw good conclusions to manage financial management as well as possible so that future savings and cash do not disappear in seconds.
In any case this is a lesson to be learned. Because they want to cover the loss of concentration, it is clear that they are thinking about ambition and emotions to keep winning and not thinking more logically.
This is something that is indeed quite difficult to prevent if the self-control that is carried out is quite weak and indeed this is unavoidable if indeed our minds are focused on winning then it will indeed be very difficult to play calmly and will only make things worse.

A valuable lesson we can take when gambling is not to be too obsessed with winning when we experience losses. Because this can eventually
cause us to lose large amounts of money in a short time. I also experienced it when I first played gambling, I was very obsessed with covering
the losses I experienced by betting bigger every time I lost. Even though it only made me lose money faster and I learned from my mistakes.
Sometimes we don't realize that when playing gambling, the main key to avoiding big losses is to control our emotions. If we can control our emotions,
I believe we can accept when we experience losses and be able to stop before our capital runs out.

I was playing few seconds ago blackjack on blackjack.fun and nearly experience this kind of scenario. I was playing normally and mistakenly clicking the x2 bet instead the 20ubtc chip for increase of bet. I accidentally all-in my balance which is my 1 week salary in the signature campaign.

I got 17 while the dealer face up card  is an Ace so already loss hope and feel bad about my mistake. Luckily the card of the dealer is draw with me and manage to recover my mistake bet. Then I saw this thread and what a coincidence.  Cheesy

In this thread Your epic fail experience in gambling a lot of players wrote about how they made a similar mistake - they accidentally clicked all-in and lost the entire deposit. It surprised me - how can you be so inattentive, but your case is another confirmation that this happens to many. You were lucky not to lose this bet. But real luck would be unexpected (for you) to double the deposit in this way.

Time constraints what push me to commit this noob mistake. Evolution gaming only have approximately 10s to place bet while I've just come back from comfort room doing my things. When I get back to my computer, The only time remaining was 5s and the cheap I set was 20ubtc only so I misclick the 20chips to x2 at the time late to notice my initial bet exceeds 1mbtc which supposedly 0.1mbtc only on my normal bet. I manage draw that match and bet one more time before I finally skip gambling that time.

"In gambling a winner is the one who knows when to stop". the real catch is when to stop in either case you win or lose. Normally
people keep on betting when they are losing or winning and that's where problem start. I am happy that gambling is ban in my country and I gamble rarely on crypto sites.
That means that even gambling is banned on your country, you still happen to gamble at some moments of your life during this rule of law has been implemented. Well, going with the winners who knows how to stop.
IMHO, the correct terms would be disciplined and accountable. Any gambler who's disciplined and accountable will know when it's time to give up and just stop. There will be matters that should be addressed more importantly than going on if they know that they're already defeated for that.
It's not a total loss if you happen to stop when things are not working for you like most of your bets are dropping in losses.

So you definitely do not have a gambling addiction because many people play online casinos via VPN/TOR despite the ban on gambling in their countries. In my city there are no land-based casinos that would have a license and I have to play online. It seems to me I have no gambling addiction as I can leave the gaming area at any time and try to do it immediately after winning and also can do without gambling for a month or more.
To the case of @blatchcorn online gambling may not be that strict on his country because he can still be able to play it and he also didn't mention that he use vpn or same kind of privacy tools to access them. It was the offline or real life gambling that is banned but if you are still accessing them, that is one a sign that you have developed a gambling addiction.

License is a big thing in land based casinos and without them, the place is considered illegal and playing them is a big risk. Something bad can happen to you if you got caught but I think in the online world, license aren't a priority of many gambling sites and you can still play on them legally.

One way to just keep loosing and loosing fast is by playing for every round. It's such a bad idea because, it somehow drives your focus from what you are loosing to either what you hope to gain or puts you in the line of recovery of lose and that way, you just keep loosing. I sa this in respect to casino games and the virtual sportsbetting too. These games ends and starts in minutes then, your back to making another bet and going for high outcome turn overs too.
Always try to pause and observe for a few rounds and then make your prediction. It doesn't mean you would win but, it gives you some direction to where the game is going and saves you a few loses too.

That's also happened to me, dude. In fact, we face this because we do not follow any strategy. If you can stick to the strategy after the game starts, I think you can come back with a little loss. It may be that if I lose the first time I will not try again or I will try twice. Even after a while we lose our mental control and then we make these mistakes and then we fall victim to the loss and then we regret it.
Doesnt really need that strategy since you could actually able to stop yourself if you are just really that mindful on limiting your losses or simply make use of those funds which you do really able or can
afford to lose.Losing is inevitable in gambling yet high chance you would really be experiencing this and thats why you should prepare yourself with that so you wont really be making out some impulsive
reaction which is something that cant really be resisted most of the time.If you dont like to lose up your precious funds then better not to play gambling in the first place
yet you would able to lose those money in an instant if you werent lucky enough.

That is compulsory gambling behavior but as far as of now I have not seen him complaining again which I assume he already has learned his lesson the hard way, well like most of us do in gambling. The gambler brain produces dopamine while gambling and you cannot make clear decisions during such time which can lead to bad decisions, there are two inner parts one tells you keep playing a few spins more and we will recover everything, this is the devil speaking and the other inner part telling you, let's stop this and try to start over by not doing stupid things, this is a message from the inner good we have.

Sounds funny, but if not all, there are people who experienced this inside your minds. Someone keeps bothering you or whispering about what you should. Do. It's a matter of choice and good decision making that will allow you to continue or to stop. Learning things the hard way always reminded you what mistakes can cause you. It's a life changing experienced, for those who learned the right way they will stop, but for those who can't control, addiction is waving to lose more.

Very much likely that he's not really a gambling addict and just accesses through TOR or VPN and only wants to have fun upon gaining access to the casino where he's playing.
Knowing that someone don't have a gambling addiction is good and you're still in control of yourself. It just needs to be maintained so that no worse case scenario will happen upon gambling and you don't have to feel rejected nor regret your decision to gamble.
We're lucky that on this era of time, we're able to access casinos online unlike before, even there were online casinos already but they're not as friendly as the crypto casinos.

He comes out with the wrong decision because of the influence of his greediness. What is in his mind is about money, if he gambles more, he thinks that he could get more. Actually, he makes a decision without thinking it is twice, not even considering the possible results when gambling. He will lose more if OP never stops gambling as in his mind now is seeking how to recover his losses.

He even believes in Jackpot, yes can be true unless we are too lucky enough. In fact, this is how gambling works.

It was almost two months hard earned money. Got busted in few minutes. I don't know why I wasn't able to have me within the limits. Just started with a $3 bet, but it went upto $98 and ended with empty wallet. This is completely unlucky, because every bets were placed to roll above 20 which means the winning probability is quite high. Anyhow I wasn't in control and I didn't follow the rule gamble what you can afford to loss. It was a money saved to repay a debt. Now once again the interest needs to be paid so to manage the debt for some more time. Unlucky me  Sad Sad Sad
the most stupidest thing i am hearing from gambling world is this kind of attitude and losses, though I am not pointing about you mate instead of your decisioning that time because why on earth needed to end like that when you can make if simple and fun.

Hoping that you already learn your lessons and never let this to happen again forever,

sorry for your losses mate and looking forward for more positive update for you .

That is really scary, at least you got lucky and managed to recover with a draw. Gambling goes so fast that it's almost impossible to correct mistakes. I have been in similar situations myself and know the feeling. One missclick can ruin our whole bankroll, that's why it's so important to play with a clear mind and be concentrated. Being drunk is probably the biggest risk we can take for ourselves when it comes to gambling. My two biggest gambling mistakes happened when being drunk, and I don't realise when it's time to better stop. That's why never drink and gamble at the same time.

This is why "The House" always wins, because we are greedy.  Wink

There is universal consent that house (platofrm) is always the winner. The best approach is when you have decent balance just quit the game. But this is easy to say and almost impossible to implement. The house have there own tactics to call you back even if you are willing to quit.

I think "greed" kick in when you manage to grind a good balance, so the moment when you have a bigger balance... you want to bet more per bet and that is how the house edge catch up to you.  Roll Eyes

It has happened to me before too... I use the in-house games with the 1% and 2% house edge and I build up a decent balance and then I become greedy and I spend that balance on something with a much worst house edge with bigger bets and within minutes it is all gone.  Roll Eyes

This is why "The House" always wins, because we are greedy.  Wink

usually like that, those who are used to gambling must have often lost or won and people like this will definitely get a win in the future

as long as emotions can be controlled properly then there will be no defeat that will be obtained because losing or winning can actually be obtained when gambling. Emotional control is important, always remember to stop when you win
If they have luck in the future, they can win and have a lot of money from gambling. But luck is rarely owned by gamblers because we know that luck will not come to everyone and only the chosen ones can get it.

But if they have emotional control, they can reduce the chances of losing to avoid a big loss.

People who have played gambling can return to gambling again, especially if they have experienced winning money from gambling. Moreover, with the convenience of crypto, people can play gambling by buying some coins that they can immediately use to gamble.

Controlling your emotions is very necessary for everyone who plays gambling because that is the only thing they can do to reduce the number of losses.

Whenever you do tend to engage with gambling then be sure on what are your intent whether for pure entertainment or would be seeking out with profits/win/money because these kind of intents
or mindset will really be a trigger that kind of impulsive behavior on someone who do really expect something great from gambling activity.
If you do find yourself to be that emotional and wont able to have a good control of it then it would be wise if you do stop completely and never tend to
gamble once again because it would really be making some headaches later on.
