One thing with uncontrolled gambling quest is that it won't stop giving hopes of recovering losses until the last dime is lost. This is not just about gambling an amount you can afford to lose but more on self control to know when to stop. The debt has to paid which ever way.
That will be the matter at most times for all of us gamblers, we think of recovery every time we're losing and that's going to give us a result that is hard to accept.
Self control is going with the action that we have in every situation that we face and sometimes those suggestions are hard to follow because we're reacting normally as we face those situations that we don't like.

Those pills exist but they can cause damage to us if taken without prescription from the doctor as why we are taking them.To limit some brain activity or brain reaction to different things or environments something else has to take the hit.I know a lot of persons, persons that got these pills for fighting anxiety or similar brain illness and trust me they are not normal ever again.Scientists are trying hard to provide effective medicine to these problems but so far they only have achieved a little in the brain sector as we don't even know how it operates right now, therefore it is wrong to take pills to stop the addiction.I think it is better to go to rehab houses which seem to work quite a bit for the people who are firmly convinced to quit something.
I had a bit of a problem back in the day, around 10 years ago and I couldn't travel. The maximum I can go is the place that I could walk, anywhere I couldn't walk became a bit of a trouble for me and I couldn't go anywhere. So, I went to a doctor and got some prescription drugs since they advised it and then I started to end up getting better and better because I followed whatever the doctors said.

This ended of course about a year or two later and now I am not taking any, it was temporary thing and it became a lot better. So, sometimes doctors do suggest those pills, it makes them a lot better if you are willing to follow what the doctor ordered.

Taking pills is fine as long as there is doctor's prescription.
Because if you are just self-prescribing, you have no idea what will be the after effect on yourself.
The doctors are here for a reason, and they know better how to contain your situation.
My take on pills is just this is a temporary solution for what you are experiencing.
But the long term is not to be drug-dependent. But you need to follow the doctor's advise to get out of meds.

He may read the replies but not all I'm sure, he is active but rarely replying to the discussion he started.
I have no idea about his marriage status, but even if he is still single, losing hard earned money in gambling is absolutely bad.
Are you wondering about his debt because the lost money was planned to pay his debt, hope he got other money to pay his debt and he realizes his own mistake so he wont repeat the same mistake in the future.
I think the thread should be locked by now. Because the OP is rarely active and there is no much discussion left for this forum.
But one lesson learnt - Live within your means and don't spent the money before it is in hand.

It was almost two months hard earned money. Got busted in few minutes. I don't know why I wasn't able to have me within the limits. Just started with a $3 bet, but it went upto $98 and ended with empty wallet. This is completely unlucky, because every bets were placed to roll above 20 which means the winning probability is quite high. Anyhow I wasn't in control and I didn't follow the rule gamble what you can afford to loss. It was a money saved to repay a debt. Now once again the interest needs to be paid so to manage the debt for some more time. Unlucky me  Sad Sad Sad
This is an unworthy and unjustifiable risk. One thing with uncontrolled gambling quest is that it won't stop giving hopes of recovering losses until the last dime is lost. Many of us lose money, and the emotion after a large loss is really sad; all you have to do is accept how difficult it is. The more money you lose, the more you want it back, and people may get way too greedy, so I recommend taking a break and simply observe the game.
Obviously many losses money in gambling but majority of those losers didn't regret that they lose because in exchange of that lose is entertainment that can't be felt anywhere but other than being entertained, if they get lucky they can go home with some decent cash.

Only those who feel sad are not playing gambling the way it meant to be. They treat gambling as a source of income and expect to get money out of it on a regular basis, that's why they feel really bad if they fail to do so. At the end of the day, they won't have a choice but to accept it because it already happened and they can't do much anything about it. Trying harder to go back will only make the situation more worse.
The gamblers accept their lose in gambling in the end because as we can see many of them are still playing and using other money. It shows their sadness and regret are only temporary and once everything is resolved, they will return to the casino and continue playing. Maybe they will play other gambling games to try their luck and some of them can get their money back although not all of them.

So I'm wondering, perhaps pharmacists have already come up with such pills that quickly neutralize adrenaline in the human body, for example, in 2-3 minutes? Of course, I don't know if there are. But if the player has fallen into such a state and it is no longer clear whether he himself will be able to make a decision to take the pill as soon as possible and stop. Is he able to stop losing his money. Is he able to cool the excitement in this way. True, in this state, most likely he needs to shove the pill into his mouth by force, and he will resist. Perhaps this is not a humane method, but there is no other way.
And how to do it if he plays alone?

Probably yes, there are pills which can neutralize the chemical reactions which happens in our brain but how the person himself can force to take the pills? If he realize its time to take the pills then he must be capable of knowing when to stop the betting and its time to leave the casino whether its offline or online.

Personally I won't suggest taking pills to control our mental activities without the proper advice from the physician because the pill itself can be addictive if the person consume it in the regular basis.

For those who risk gambling games for profit will regret it if they fail, they are very greedy to hunt for winnings from every game from any gambling, so I agree that to recover losses will worsen financial management. Gambling is only to be played with limited money owned for fun not for main job.

I think there is a need for a more comprehensive approach to eliminating nitrogen addiction, and first of all the person who faced this problem should want to do it.

Look, TS is well aware that he has a gambling addiction, but instead of going to a specialist to help him deal with it he created this thread. I'm sure if he continues to gamble, the cases of big losses will be repeated.

Most gamblers know it but the problem is that they start gambling with that advice in mind only to find out just some time later during their game play session that the gambling got the best out of their emotions and they could not control themselves and lose everything. This is why we have so many addiction cases in our time now,it is not that easy to stick to that statement that we will only gamble we can afford to lose.
Yes, you are right. During gambling games, many of us lose control of ourselves and cause emotional upheavals that will trigger us to spend more money because we see the opportunities we can get will be bigger. But that's not necessarily true because gambling always ends in winning and losing, which, if we realize, we will get more losses than wins. And if we really lose control of ourselves and always spend more money just because we want to win, we will gradually become addicted. And if we are already addicted, it will be more difficult to overcome.

In most cases, gambling sites will allow you to feel the adrenalin each time you place your bet. The kind of emotional reaction that, really difficult to overcome in both ways. If you are on the winning side, you will continue to bet, thinking that luck is there to help you to win more while if you are on the losing side, you will be more aggressive trying to recover your losses. Sad thing, you'll find out that you already empty handed and everything was already busted.
If the gambler can control his emotions, they can suppress the adrenaline level and it will not be big because the gambler will always remember that gambling will not always give a win. They must stop immediately before it is too late. If you keep thinking about getting the next win, you should forget about it because we won't necessarily be able to get that win. We should realize that gambling is only for entertainment and fun and not for the pursuit of winnings. We will regret it once we know that we have lost our money.

This is called chasing your losses and it happens almost everywhere where money is involved, it is not rare for a trader to work for months to get profits and then when they make a bad trade and lose a great deal of those profits they cannot accept it and then use a lot of money during the next trade to try to recover the money they lost.

However most likely they will lose that trade as well as they were not thinking clearly during those moments, so instead of experimenting a small loss and move on now they have to deal with massive losses which will be almost impossible to recover.

If a person after several big losses does not understand that gambling will not allow him to get rich, he is either a fool or has problems which can be solved only by specialists. Playing with the last money or borrowing money from someone to play is irresponsibility which will eventually lead a person to serious problems. So play only with your own money and know how to control yourself.

You own the pen
This is why we have so many addiction cases in our time now,it is not that easy to stick to that statement that we will only gamble we can afford to lose.

Nobody can follow this by heart, there will be a time when people are tempted to put in more money, gambling is associated with our emotions and sometimes our emotion betrays us, this can happen most of the time to a gambler who loses control but for a response, they do this only from time to time, besides we are only human and not perfect in controlling our emotions.

We think sometimes that if we put everything on the table, we get everything we lose earlier, and mostly the result was the contrary. We often move on if we have lost all of the money we have but this is not the case for the others because they overthink and sometimes use the money they cannot afford to lose and the result is heartbreaking. That's why we read all of these events from the past where they made a bad move that result in lifetime regret and we have a chance not to follow in their footsteps to save ourselves from what they have gone through.
