The reason why this topic got to 20+ pages within under 1 month is the fact that there are tons of people who do this. I mean there are people who end up losing a lot of money so quickly that they did not even enjoyed the gambling bit first.

I have seen too many people who do martingale for example and got to 10+ losses on their first 500 attempts and that is like just half an hour or less. That means there are people who gambled less than 30 minutes and lost all of their deposits. This is unlucky of course, you could wager 500k times and not hit 10+ loss streak, or could play 11 times and have all of them be a loss as well. But, I believe that you should always wager with a small amount and prolong your gaming as much as possible.

This is not general to every country, gambling can illegal for your country but in my own country gambling is not illegal, in some places gambling is being legalize for people to make money, the place i will concentrates and put some point is risk, gambling is risk like any other things you know, if you are a gambler you don't have to use all you have a play gamble knowing that you can lose all at hand and that is the system of gambling
I am unable to understand what point you have mentioned here.
Although gambling is not an easy thing to do. Gamblers have to learn how to play and how to solve the situation.
But for the people who are in the middle - either they have to play or not. For them gambling is a trouble and they sometime loose because they are stressed and guilty for playing casino.

Of course, regrets do come in last but even if they do know about that fact they still chose to go deaf and blind just to follow their addiction and gamble. In times of their biggest challenge, that's the time that they will realize that they've gone too far already and they have also affected the people surrounding them. Worse is that they're already too late to turn away from that mistakes they did.
Since gambling is illegal in our region and we have this thing always at the back of the mind. That we must keep this habit at arms length.
there are very serious law against gambling. But those who gamble - know that it very risky - its intense and can bring in some serious results.

That is only good if the people who surrounds these gamblers won't give a bad compliment or some negative comments in anyway because if that's the case then I won't be shocked if these gamblers are also not interested in sharing their problems and how deep already they are in terms of being an addict because they knew that they would just hear some unwanted comments instead of getting some help from them. That's how toxic our society in todays world Sad
gamblers face it more often- but they are careful with what funds they are risking.
He risked his rental and bills money on the gambling. Which was a very bad mistake. Hope he has learnt through this mistake.

I seriously think that you don't understand, these gamblers are already addicted and they have dug quite deep enough for themselves because of the debts and unwanted losses but that's the risk they need to face as an addicted gambler. That is also the reason why they badly need help from the people who surround them, but getting some help in that position is not an easy thing to do.

People will always learn through their mistakes, the hard part is that we will just wait to learn it in a hard way when things are already risky.
People do mostly learn in the end or realize when they are experiencing hard situations that they haven't encountered or experience before that's why it would really come naturally on where we do learn and be aware on next time.

If you don't like to mess up your finances then you should be mindful on your spending because if not then you would really fall into the pit of addiction which might or likely result into unfortunate conditions.

I was playing few seconds ago blackjack on blackjack.fun and nearly experience this kind of scenario. I was playing normally and mistakenly clicking the x2 bet instead the 20ubtc chip for increase of bet. I accidentally all-in my balance which is my 1 week salary in the signature campaign.

I got 17 while the dealer face up card  is an Ace so already loss hope and feel bad about my mistake. Luckily the card of the dealer is draw with me and manage to recover my mistake bet. Then I saw this thread and what a coincidence.  Cheesy

In this thread Your epic fail experience in gambling a lot of players wrote about how they made a similar mistake - they accidentally clicked all-in and lost the entire deposit. It surprised me - how can you be so inattentive, but your case is another confirmation that this happens to many. You were lucky not to lose this bet. But real luck would be unexpected (for you) to double the deposit in this way.

I would already say the opposite, because even though I live in a country where gambling is prohibited, that hasn't stopped me from losing good amounts of money in the past.
With the popularity of crypto-accepting casinos, it is very easy to circumvent these restrictions these days.
As you said yourself, the best way to not lose more money than you planned is to have control over your emotions.
People who have played gambling can return to gambling again, especially if they have experienced winning money from gambling. Moreover, with the convenience of crypto, people can play gambling by buying some coins that they can immediately use to gamble.

Controlling your emotions is very necessary for everyone who plays gambling because that is the only thing they can do to reduce the number of losses.

That's what happens to gamblers because not all gamblers can open up and tell other people because, in some countries, gambling is considered nothing and will instead be given a negative impression.
So for those gamblers, keep their stories about gambling and don't share them with others.
It will be even more difficult if the gamblers are addicted because no one will know.

No matter where do we live, we should start to share our experience once gambling is started to be a "problem" in our life. If we keep it ourselves as a secret and no one knows, it is possible that it will become a bigger problem. If we share it to our close-friends or family, we may hear some opinions and hopefully to get a better solution to get rid of the problem.
The problem in gambling is not really that gambling alone, but the addiction that will mostly develop afterwards and ruin everything. And once the gambler starts to see it from himself, then he should not keep it and find solutions alone. While some friends cannot help, but there is family that is always ready to help and guide his gambling addiction. I just hope OP has learned his lesson now, and will find gambling more entertaining than being addictive. That is why gambling needs not a huge amount, but an amount you can only afford to lose but still give you self satisfaction.

An amount that you are willing to let go and not to keep bothering you each time you remember this kind of mistake, it's hard but better if you lose the money not big enough to let go, the case of OP is something that he will learn the Hardway, it will keep chasing him while he still in process of moving on.

Nothing can be done anymore, the money already inside the pocket of the casino owner. Either you will stop or you will

continue playing, but with moderation to avoid making another same mistake losing a huge amount of money.

Due to restriction in my country I would say I have not lost huge money till date in gambling. A decent or disciplined gambler must know when its the right time to stop otherwise he will keep on losing money. Its a universal fact whether we accept it or deny it.  Just keep an eye on your emotions and everything will be fine,

Not only control over your emotions but have a clearly budget for such activity.
If you don't have a budget you can risk to over value your impulse and play without a strategy!
Having crypto available sometimes mean have some cash ready to be spent without limit (I mean there is not a control made by bank or anything else). It's always required to limit yourself, if you cannot done personally just use a cold wallet or try to "lock" your coins.
This is the only way to limit loss.

I have developed restrictions for myself by which I try not to gamble more than a couple of times a month and spend no more than $100 per game. In my opinion, such restrictions do not allow me to get used to gambling. I would, if I were you, reduce the number of visits to casinos because I think it is important in the fight against gambling addiction.
If a person has signs of gambling addiction, it will be very difficult for them to stick to this method. It would probably be impossible to visit a casino just once a month. Similarly, you could tell someone who invests in cryptocurrency or trades on exchange to look at exchange rates once a month. It is a habit that is almost impossible to break.

That means that even gambling is banned on your country, you still happen to gamble at some moments of your life during this rule of law has been implemented. Well, going with the winners who knows how to stop.
IMHO, the correct terms would be disciplined and accountable. Any gambler who's disciplined and accountable will know when it's time to give up and just stop. There will be matters that should be addressed more importantly than going on if they know that they're already defeated for that.
It's not a total loss if you happen to stop when things are not working for you like most of your bets are dropping in losses.

Just started with a $3 bet, but it went upto $98 and ended with empty wallet.

You are lucky that you lose only 98$, I lost 175$ yesterday and 60$ last week. You can easily imagine how I would be feeling right now. Gambling is all about losing your hard earned money in few minutes or seconds. Despite all my efforts I can't restrict myself from gambling.
I saw the OP only lost $3 (because his initial capital was $3 and then he won up to $98). who is willing to lose money? Of course there won't be and this is a lesson for everyone don't gamble when you're not ready to lose. by the way sorry for your lost money, that's quite a lot of money for me. hopefully, you can get a big win in your next gambling.

As I understand, his initial bankroll is not $3. The words "went up to $98" refers to his last bet, something like when you are doing martingale where you increase your bet after every lose bet. He also said that the money was a 2 months hard earned money, if you think that his starting bankroll is only $3, do you think that there is someone in this world who earn that low amount in 2 months? Even if someone live in the worst places in this world, I do not think there is someone who want to work hard for $3 in 2 months.

A loss is loss, and what made my loss bad is that I lost every bets to roll over 20. That is really bad, and a loss of $235 is really big for a common gambler. As far gambling is concerned, don't try to recover those losses. Give some time or take a break and this will help you atleast get back little than emotionally getting lost.
It's quite difficult to control the emotions if you have lost in a big bet then it's better to come back tomorrow with a calm mind and limit the money to be lower for gambling, not for the purpose of recovering from losses but betting for fun because previously you were out of betting that was not ready to accept losing big bets.
Even in this case, I still feel that if we lose by a large enough nominal and come back within a few days the emotions will still be there and in the end their focus is not on gambling but to recover their losses which of course will be a very difficult thing to do. won because it has been controlled by ambition then indeed this will actually destroy and will be another loss there.

Yes, loss is a loss whatever the amount is however you must also consider the lesson you've learned from this experience. First of all, never to gamble with money that you don't even have. You've gambled funds that is supposedly for payment on your debt which ended up losing.
Also, for Blatchcorn, don't invalidate someone's loss just because of the amount they've loss on their gambling activity as compared to you that was able to afford to gamble right after losing 175$ . OP already has a debt of thr amount he had gambled with so there's the difference.
Anyway, I hope you've learned your lesson with this experience to never gamble with funds you can't afford to lose especially if it's already reserved for something else.
I live in a society where we are not allowed to gamble - we don't have any pub in our regions. Almost 85% of population dont drink neither they gamble.
So we are unaware of the feeling - how does it feel. I did a small offline bet and lost approx $10 when I was in school, I was unable to sleep for 10 nights. I am not sure how the OP is surviving.
