Harry Potter is more like a movie for kids, LOTR is better a great history, has epic moments, the battles, the magic fights of Gandlalf were 100 times better than the harry potter

Imo harry potter is much more entertaining considering it's our world (not a world with trolls at least, oops!) harry potter also has many details and is based on a high school so it's a sure win.
LOTR adaptation was decent, it did follow the plot broadly and got the key points correct.

I think Lord of the rings is better than Harry Potter. I also like the Hobbit series.
2:1 here prefer LOTR over harry potter.. and it's a sausage fest here. i'd guess harry potter would beat LOTR if we were to poll random people.
